This will be the Nine's Entrant, reskinning Jair, still a work in progress.

He will be an Amadician Nobleman/wanderer. The Gm and a select few know his background. Will finish up the build soon. Background incoming as well.

From my part at leaast my friend dont stress it. I've been there with both issues Still battling the depression aspect of it at least even today. Pulling for you.

Just a heads up, Had to have surgery on my shoulder Friday. It was "minor" but im one handed for a few weeks. Typing one handed is certainly more annoying than i had thought it would be. Sorry if im slower responding than usual. This last Winter has been the worst ive had *lawls*

Oh no! I hope you get that all sussed out. I had that happen 4 summers ago... it was a mess!

just for curiousities sake: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 3, 3) = 17
See not that terrible.

"Oh sp.."

He began as he fell arms spinning reaching for anything he could find to slow his fall. At the last moment he seemed to remember someone saying something about relaxing right before impact... Then it went dark.

Also dont feel bad if you killed me, I tempted fate by saying we all have to die sometime right? :)

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

Oh man thats all my fault I tempted the dice gods with my silly words! How far a fall was it?

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

"Well, we all have to die at somepoint eh?"

He said with only a hint of trepidation as he followed the others. He made sure to stand next to one of the ropes that was lowering the platform. If the thing fell apart well maybe the rope would still hold his weight.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

"Thank you Aes se.... uh.. m'am. It feels better already."

He began thanking the sea folk channeler. He wasnt sure really what honorific to use. He was sure there was one. He followed along with the others, keeping quiet merely following along. He wasn't sure whom he was even supposed to answer to. He had been hired to follow the traitorous Aes Sedai. He had been about to say something when the hotheaded man spoke.... Blame? Baim.... No Bain. That was his name. Instead of speaking out as the man did he instead studied the wooden contraption.

I dont have knowledge engineering but man that doesnt look stable :P: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

Oh ...well then.

"I've no fear of the seanchan... their creatures however."

He said with a slight frown as he studied the crane. He spent most of time in the wilds along the old blight, learning to track and stay hidden... that contraption however had seen better days. He had a general knowledge of wood and rope however his eyes following and scanning along his mind racing with whatever practical knowledge he did have to see if anything helped.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

"Of course M'am."

He began stepping more into the light as she needed. He tried not to be too obvious in watching the other new folk, his eyes couldnt help but be drawn to Manwhen's body a slight snarl came to his lips subconciously for a moment.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

"ive been healed by the power before M'am. I cant say im always comfortable with it, but it doesnt frighten me."

He began doing his best to keep his eyes on those that moved out to the flanks. He wanted to trust these folks but they seemed to have gotten Isa's ire and distrust. So that meant he wasn't going to be too trusting.

He started to move forward a bit from his hiding spot hearing the louts words started to try and creep forward from his perch to get a better view of the new group. He bit back a curse as part of the building creaked and shifted.

"Someone down there mentioned healing yes?"

He called down letting others be aware of his presence there since he made enough noise to alert a cabal of trollics... just in case someone was touchy on their bow. I twould be a terrible tragedy to think that all the insane things he just witnessed could be ended by somone besides himself being nervous.

Nervously, he had remained silent and hidden. His whispered discussion with Elathras took a darker and more somber tone. Despite the strange Ogier's idea that a pillar of smoke would be sufficient the two borderlanders were not so sure. In the years past, in the time of blights and before the dragon had arrived such signals would be recognized as trouble sure.... but now neither man was sure what reaction it would cause.

So they flipped a coin over it, and Elathras lost. At some point in the night, when the time was right He would slip away and head for the Borderlands to tell any who would listen what had occured here. During the night he did his best to find a high perch that would provide him a better view of the surroundings...and he startled awake when he heard Isa speak out. As Quietly as he could, he drew arrow to string, doing his best to remain out of sight in case whomever Isa spoke out too turned out to be hostile as well.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

The same as Bormanes. getting a post up now :) Im writing in a slip off point for Elathras, glad to see this get rolling again. :)

Sorry for the radio silence. Had to spend a few days in the hospital from a terrible bout of flu and dehydration. >.<

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

"I am going to hazard you are about to tell us there is no time for that."

He muttered. Like Elathras he was trying to wrap his mind about what the strange and scary Ogier was saying. An immensely strong male channeler had discovered a way to make himself stronger by absorbing other hims throughout the weave on other alternate places that he existed? He couldnt wrap his head around that but he supposed it was possible.

"I was paid to accompany the Aes sedai and her uh apprentice until their business was done. I dont break my word, blood and ashes as foolish of me as that sounds, so until you say so I go where you go."

He said nodding to Dahlia.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

He wasnt sure what to make of any of this, what he did know was that he wasnt happy about any of it either. His eyes widened at the monstrosity that looked ogier and he gagged a little when the creature somehow drained the Sul'dam to ... to...

"Blood and ashes..."

He whispered harshly sliding close to his friend Elathras but keeping a lane clear for his arrow if death was to come to them all today. Seeing what that creature did to the Seanchan woman he had no doubts they would all die if it turned violent, but he wasnt going to go quietly if it were his time.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

He had no clue what they meant by saying she was opening herself up to more than she should, but he did know he didnt want to be anywhere near when whatever was about to happen happened.

"Blood and the bloodiest of ashes!"

He cursed loosing the arrow he had drawn out of reflex almost at seeing the others charge in. The moment he loosed however he made a straight dash for the door herding anyone in front of him out if he had too.

He almost didnt notice the change at first, He had been fussing with the arrow in his shoulder, slightly rocking back and forth. His eyes in truth had been watching the Sul'Dam and Damane shuffled about, they made him so nervous. Like Bormanes he shivered at the change in her accent, even more so for the cold admittance of that plan.

So many innocents in those towns dying under fire now....

He swallowed back the bile rising in his throat. That couldnt be some Aes Sedai plan could it? It was madness. He found himself looking to catch Elathras' eyes as he slowly tried to draw an arrow from his quiver...

sneakily arming himself in case...: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

He added slipping backwards towards the wall. Whatever was about to happen he didnt want anyone behind him.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

He cried out suddenly as the arrow struck, completely caught by surprise at its sudden appearance. He shouldnt have been surprised Their foes were not going to just stand there and let him shoot them but still. It was the first time an arrow had ever found its mark in him.

'Pull it together Jair. You'll be fine, the Aes Sedai can heal this, just get to the Aes Sedai.'

He thought to himself.

"The Seanchan are fleeing the bastards. Where are the others?"

He called out to Elathras, drawing an arrow to his bow and returning fire before glancing back tapping Elathras' shoulder and rushing torwards the others.

He had been taking aim when he heard Elathras call out and like a babe new to the bow he glanced back torwards where the man called from just as he fired. He cursed under his breath as he backpedelled torwards the Shenarian and maiden since that damnable Seanchan soldier seemed to be glued to the ruined building.

Moving back to the others, so five right one up?

"This has become a bit of a dogs dinner Im afraid my friends."

He muttered to Elathras and the 'calm' Aiel maiden Isa

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

Checking back in

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

"I'm fine."

He lied to the Seanchan soldier when asked how he was. He was doing his best to look calm, but truthfully his stomach was dancing about like one of those maidens in a fistfight. He tried to take in a deep breath before the chaos in the hald destroyed building caught his ear.

The Dark Lord coming back? He cant, Light help us he cant!

Like a rock he stood there for a moment longer before an old Borderlander saying, death was lighter than a feather, Duty heavier than a mountain. Honor... such a funny concept and word it seemed as the young man contemplated life for the briefest of moments... Duty.

"Just keep them from getting behind me."

He said to the seanchan soldier beside him as he rose up and drew another arrow, moving to the corner of the building and firing at the closing figure.

He was caught completely by surpise at the sudden roiling of the building and it was all he could do to hold onto his bow as he tried to leap off the building safely....

"Blood and bloody ashes!"

He managed to blurt out as he hit the ground and rolled, his breath exploding from his lungs. That was unexpected to say the least. He rose wearily to his feet drawing an arrow and looking for any foes that had come from the portal to fire upon.

Jair will fire his bow at any ranged attackers, barring any ranged attackers anyone threatening one of the Aes sedai, Barring any attacks against the Aes Sedai, then the nearest foe not adjacent to him?

or do you prefer to just sort of leave it up to gm/other players discretion?

He wasnt exactly sure what was going on beneath him but at the sound of that that... man's voice rising he frowned drawing arrow, He wanted to be ready. He started to move along the rooftop to right over the door, in case anything crazy happened.

Without moving too much, not wanting to give away his position if indeed they hadnt noticed him, he slid his hand down torwards his quiver just in case.

Man that hand talk those Aiel use would sure be handy right now... if the others could see me of course.

He tried to decipher who would be the biggest threat . . . in case things went bad.

Is there some sort of check i could make to see if he understands the difference between Sul'dam and Damane? Is it common enough knowledge, that he might just know how they work?

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

He watched quietly arrow drawn as Elathras began his climb, eyes straining for any sign of trouble. Once the man came down and made his report he frowned. Manwhen Sedai was being led to them? He knew where he thought would be a good spot to post himself.

He hurried to the rock and the hut clambering atop it and the hut itself. He didnt so much as walk across its roof as hover along the edge of the top where the beams sat. Hopefully the higher vantage point would give him a chance to truly watch the area.

Unless the materials for the roof of the hut seem really solid Jair would more hang long the side of the roof where the walls meet rooftop so to speak, but elevated up high to be able to spot any incoming danger better.

At the edge of the blight though well away from its edge he took the gathered horses and led them away enough to tether them to a couple of stakes in the ground. As dark as it was barring anything truly wild coming from the evil grounds they should quietly wait there in the dark for them to return. . . at least that is what he hoped. He hoped to return. The little blight looked terrible indeed.

Crazy weekend.

Two things have occured, My long term relationship has dissolved in a messy fashion, and the manager at the place I work has passed away in a car accident. I'm defacto in charge now for the next few weeks until The regional director can arrange for us to have someone in charge.

What that means for you all folk is that for the next two weeks (or so) I will probably be too busy to post daily, but i will post when i can.

Once again Im terrible sorry, but I will get full speed again in a few weeks.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

He sat at his chair aghast at what the spy was saying. He had only the tracest amounts of understanding of what the man was saying, or Aiel culture in general. He knew enough to know the man was being very insulting. He was less suprised at Manwhen Sedai's swift handling of the situation.

Serves him right, though he probably deserves more.

He thought quietly to himself slowly finishing his meal. After the meal when it was clear they were leaving soon, he found himself back in the stables prepping and checking the horses. When it was time to go, he was ready and in the saddle. Short bow in hand. At the gate His face fell when she spoke of ... well the effects about the military posting.

meh, a little above average so i will generalize a lot of things

He nodded vigorously to the Aes Sedai quietly leading his horse out of the small town they were in. He didnt range far but as soon as he thought they were out of earshot he slowed the horse down to spread what he knew.

"The blight is dangerous, more so than you can imagine. Touch no plants, drink no water. Keep and wary eye about you. Grandfather used to tell me how even the trees at times seemed ready to eat you. Everything is dangerous. There used to be a type a catapillar... you know the little worm things that turn into butterflies? that would kill you with a single touch. Try to follow the path that Elathras or I set."

He offered before taking the lead once again.

He almost forgot for a moment exactly what they had been talking about when the woman with the food arrived, but the spy's crude comment quickly brought his focus back to where it should be. He was almost equally as shocked at the aiel woman's words but he thought he hid it a little better.

He filled his plate mostly with vegetables, giving himself a bit of ham to spoil himself a small amount. He didnt want to weight down his stomach with rich food in case things on this trip went worse than they should.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

"Oh... that makes sense I guess... sorry Manwhen sedai."

He said in response to her answer, shoulders slumping.

'What was it that mother used to say? Something about a wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can from a wise answer. I'll have to think the next time i question an Aes Sedai.... What are those Aiel women saying I wonder. I heard they can talk with their hands... it sure looks to be a mouthful.'

He put his hands on the table one atop the other and did his best to not look too foolish as he sat there.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

He forwned at Bormanes' question. The answer to that seemed simple, and he wasnt sure if he had asked the right one even....

"What do you need an escort for? I mean what are supposed to be protecting the spy from?"

He asked refusing to call the man by his name now.

Male Arafellin Woodsman/Armsman 4/1 AC: 19 FF 15 T 14 HP 0/58

Almost by rote as if even in the light saved 'Borderlands' respect for Aes Sedai was bred into a man He found himself following the others in swearing to keep whatever the Aes Sedai wanted secret. After all he didnt want her looking too closely into anything he did at all of course.

"I swear by the creator and the light."

He was taking a deep breath to calm the nerves when the old Aes Sedai made her next announcement. The words that the man was a spy struck at him hard. The idea that the man whom had been part of their caravan was also a traitor shocked him. He found himself moving away from the man involuntarily only in his haste to move from being near the man he overbalanced on the chair and fell backwards still in the chair.

He managed to hold in the yelp of surprise though he jumped up just as quickly from the fallen chair and the spot on the floor. His hands jerked upwards torwards the blades strapped to his back on instinct as well but just for a second.

"Sorry ...I... just."

He fell silent looking downwards and avoiding meeting anyones gaze as he took a hold of his seat and set it back upright sitting in it rigidly and staring a hole into the table.

Im picturing at least a somewhat friendly comraderie between Jair, Elthras and Weyland if for no other reason than well them being martial orientated.

I think for the most part Jair wouldnt have tried too hard to ingratiate himself with Bormanes, though he wouldnt have avoided the young 'nobleman'

Obviously those associated with the power he would not ...avoid so much as try not to disturb, important folk after all use the power, lastly while he would very much be intruiged with Tiana i can honestly say she probably intimidates the heck out of him... even after 200 years im sure the reputation of even womenfolk Aiel being death walking on two legs would procede them.

At least that is how im playing him at the start :)

He smiled at the warrior, and gave him a nod spending just a few more moments with the horses than was probably necessary.

"Save me a spot at the dicing table and dont steal all the ale. I'll be there in a few more moments. I think one of the horses that was pulling the wagon may have either tossed a shoe or had one come loose, I want to check it before they settle down for the night."

He began waiting for the other young man to leave before taking his ruined note and trying to find a way to dry it... perhaps he could put it between some excess hay and that would help the moisture. He certainly didnt want anyone else to see how...panicked the loss of it meant to him.

Barring anyone interupting him from that

With a final glance at the horses he made for the inn. He gulped when the saw the Aes Sedai wave him over. Thankfully she spoke before he had a chance to sound foolish and apologize for whatever he might have messed up on, and he managed not to breath a sigh of relief when she dismissed him without dressing him down.

He hurried up to his room to put his things away in a hurry, he certainly didnt want any of the young lads he had bonded with somewhat to explore the place without him... or take up all the space at the dicing tables.

"It was supposed to be an introduction leader to one of the commanders here... a friend of my uncles. Not much more than soggy parchment now."

He began glumly to the other young guardsman. He stopped frowning as the Aes Sedai spoke... not directly to him thank the light. He still had a ridiculous fear that one day she would call him out and strike him down with her lightnings for his forebear's foolishness.

He paused a moment longer to watch the two Cairhienin bantered back and forth, but only to see if the pretty Accepted had any particular desires or needs. Not that he was offering his services or anything of course.

"Might as well make myself useful."

He muttered guiding both of his horses torwards the stable. While he worked on first his horses, than any of the others that needed tended to he thought about what he could recall about this particular town.
