One of the top 3 needed dressing pieces!

5/5

GOOD:
Sculpt and paint job are perfect.
Looks the same as the regular one, only with a blue sheet instead of red.
If you only had one or two red ones in your case you now can stock up.

BAD:
A bit pricey.

A tie for 2nd best set yet!

4/5

1 star minis: 1 (Keketar Protean)
2 star minis: 6
3 star minis: 10
4 star minis: 16
5 star minis: 17!

GOOD:
All 13 common minis get between 3 and 5 stars!
A lot of often needed monsters are in this set.
The best human faces yet, even better than the Rusty Dragon Inn set!

BAD:
2 minis were missing in my case.
Too dark paintjobs on quite a lot minis.
While Wizkids finally seems to have the faces nailed, the sturdiness has taken a step back in the wrong direction.

UGLY:
The rare Protean is the size of a medium creature on a large base, it has the wrong eye color (according to the Bestiary entry ALWAYS the same) and it doesn´t look as cool as the Bestiary 2 color-scheme.

This is a set where a case is recommended!

Horrifying doorway

4/5

GOOD:
This piece looks to be build mainly from the bodies of 4 eternally tortured souls, in between them a burning skull.
Useful not only as a actual "Gate" to another evil plane, but also as a talking riddle-door, a "mirror of live trapping" etc.
It doesn´t tip over easily.

BAD:
I had prefered the orange part was left away or it being able to actually open.

UGLY:-

Useful if you don´t want to draw furniture & invoke more atmosphere!

4/5

GOOD:
You can also use the shelves as bookracks or as a way to break up a room.
The three bar sections look like a desk from the other side, complete with closed compartment (that a rogue can pick and that could be trapped).
The corner bar section is hollow and can be used as a holy water basin.
If you remove the "RD#44 Orc on Dire Wolf" miniature by carefully wiggeling it free from it´s riding animal, you can not only place it back on it´s back, but also put it on a bar stool.
The upcoming "Queen Ileosa on the Crimson Throne" mini should also be able to sit on one.
The two barrels are hollow and can be opened by force and also close nicely again.

BAD:
The bottle decorations are so tiny, that they will soon get lost when falling from the table.

Good as a female pirate captain!

4/5

GOOD:
A very colorful outfit, that is mostly painted solidly from front and back.
Two non-bendy weapons.
A good pose.
A nice mini for a two-weapon-fighting PC.

BAD:
The paintjob is not perfect, mostly apperant at the top of the boots.

A poor adaptation of the AP #97 cover

2/5

GOOD:
The pose is imposing.
When you squint real hard, you can see the red X-Men symbol on the gold clasp of the leather strap across his chest.
The mace he´s holding is straight and sturdy.

BAD:
Way too dark paintjob again. The details are hard to make out when most of the miniature is drenched in black. The cover art depicts him with a blueish silver armor, which works much better.
No discernible mouth.

UGLY:
His Frankenstein´s creature-like high brow.

Great tattoos/tempos!!!

5/5

GOOD:
The translation from the art in the "Inner Sea World Guide"´s Numeria section into miniature form is a success. The angle of the sword is more dynamic than in the artwork.
The green energy blade looks really good, the black leather outfit and the metal shoulderguards and bracers contrast each other nicely.
But the best thing are the tribal tattoos on the face, breast and swordarm of this barbarian fighter!

BAD:
The sword is not straight, but it´s not bendy either.
There are some small paintjob errors, but nothing serious.

UGLY!

2/5

GOOD:
The longer i look at the TWO of these minis that were in my case, the lesser comes to mind. I guess it was a good idea.

BAD:
When i look at the impressive illustration from the pages of the "Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Seeker of Secrets: A Guide to the Pathfinder Society" and then at these minis, the only thing similar is the helmet. The colors are all wrong and too dark (bright green replaced by black), the paintjob is very bad (colors bleeding over), the great scepter and scroll look has been replaced with a very bendy spear and the cape looks ridiculous from behind.

UGLY:
A better paintjob with brighter colors could make this a 4 star mini!

Unimpressive.

3/5

GOOD:
Lots of stuff on this mini: In addition to the shield and mace, she has a crossbow and a rod tucked away. The pose is good.

BAD:
Colors are so dark that it is hard to discern anything. The shield is blank. The red eye-slits are hard to perceive.

UGLY: This 20th level cleric of Asmodeus from the NPC Codex has not been translated good into miniature form. A shame.

Not good enough for a rare mini!

4/5

GOOD:
Substitutes for a small red dragon.

BAD:
The size is too big for a tiny creature. This get´s apparent easily in comparison with the tiny "Imp" and the small "Cockatrice" from this set.
The colors are all wrong. if you take a look at page 474 of the "Curse of the Crimson Throne" hardcover, it is supposed to be dark purple with deep blue wings. This mini is painted light purple with black wings.
Also the maw should be open and the eyes not tiny orange blots but larger yellow orbs.

I like the Bestiary art better!

3/5

GOOD:
The miniature clearly looks creepy and alien enough to be a doppelganger.
Two of them are able to shake hands. :-)

BAD:
Looks more like an undead creature because the skeleton comes through in a lot of places.
The Bestiary art has a more adaptible feel to it.

UGLY: This is one ugly mofu.

Perfect for an uncommon!

5/5

GOOD:
The face is simple, but good looking, the paintjob has no flaws, the sculpt/pose is dynamic.
This orange-bearded dwarf has all kinds of equipment on him: a golden mace in his right hand, a heavy wooden shield in his left hand, chainmail armor & heavy leather boots, a cloak, shortbow and quiver, a belt with pouch and sword in scabbard.

BAD:
nothing.

UGLY:-

Great for a PC or NPC in "Hell´s Rebels" or "Hell´s Vengeance".
You can also easily paint over the asmodeus symbol on the shield and replace it with something else.

Great details for an uncommon, only the eyes could be better

4/5

GOOD:
This mini is sturdy, despite having 8 legs, 2 pincer-arms, 2 antennae and a long tongue!
Granted, the colors may be a little too bright for a Darklands creature, but they are not causing eye-cancer and look good on the flip-mat.

BAD:
The seven gleaming black eyes that can be seen on page 41 of the Bestiary are only two dots at the front of the mini.

UGLY:-

Mediocre sculpt, glue lines, muddy paint.

2/5

GOOD:
You recognize that it is supposed to be a chicken.

BAD:
The pose and sculpt aren´t as good as the art on page 48 of the Bestiary, the head is to high up, the tongue too short, the wings are wrong.
Also the vibrant red of the eyes, tongue and crest is just not there.
The body is painted muddy and glue lines and dark paint can be seen at the connecting different parts on the back.

UGLY:
This could have been a better mini with a better paintjob.

Good sculpt for a tiny mini, but too dark paintjob

4/5

GOOD:
The size is right, the sculpt is good, the face looks similar to the art on page 78 of the Bestiary.
The wings are spread, which gives the mini the possibility to be used in flight.

BAD:
The red paint used for the entire body and face is so dark, that you´ll have to squint real hard to make out the details like beard, ears, mouth and little clenched fists. A lighter red, like in the artwork, would have worked wonders.

Good as NPC or evil as PC!

4/5

GOOD:
This mini can be used as either an NPC for the "Hell´s Rebels" AP or as PC for the "Hell´s Vengeance" AP.
As i had 4 of them in my case, i cut off the head from the mace, so now i have 2 different ones.
She has a dagger as secondary weapon on her belt.

BAD: The shield is not easy to cut off, so i can´t yary this mini very much.

Great detail for a common min - better than some rares!

5/5

GOOD:
From the tiny red eyes under the metal helmet, over the heavy silver & brown breastplate armor with leather padding, brown fur cloak and the silver mace to the thick brown metal reinforced boots, this female hobgoblin mini is a perfect example of simple beauty.

BAD:
No discernable secondary weapon, but for a common this is okay.

A beautiful Angel

4/5

GOOD:
This beautiful albino woman is wreathed in wings of brilliant flame.
She is wearing a black shawl, a black skirt and a golden necklace, periapt and belt.
I had 4 in my case, which wings color ranges from light yellow-orange to dark red-orange. Three have the right arm extended like on the picture, one straight to the side.

BAD:
The features are much less detailed than the Bestiary 3 art.
The fact that a CR 14 creature is a common miniature of which i had 4 in my case.

UGLY:-

Our Price: $3.00

Very similar to the Bestiary image!

4/5

GOOD:
The sculpt is simple but detailed enough (four fingers), the pose is menacing.
Three colors: black, white & orange-brown are enough to make this CR 1 creature, which can be summoned with the "Summon Monster II" spell, a good-looking miniature.
It looks a lot better than the D&D version from GoL.
The two pegs under it´s leg-stumps make it sturdy enough to survive a fall from the table.

BAD:
It could be a little more slimey looking (like the Omox demon from the Wrath of the Righteous set).

UGLY:-

Clear plastic would have been better!

3/5

GOOD:

BAD:
Too tall for a medium and not "invisible". Also the left arm is much smaller than the right one.

Appropriate size, shoddy paintjob, breaks off from the base easily.

3/5

GOOD:
The size is right for a large four-legged creature. It is a little bigger than the Hellcat (which is essentially a skeleton).
The CR of 9 (Hellhound, Nessian) is perfect for an uncommon mini (I had three in my case).

BAD:
It has a very shoddy paintjob, the silver collar has orange paint on it, the black muscles are seemingly coincidentally disrupted by the half-translucent orange flames. This is especially apparent from below.
The eyes and maw are not clearly discernable from the rest of the head.

UGLY:
This mini only has 2 legs glued to it´s base (left front- & right hindleg) and not 4 knobs inserted into the base like the Hellcat).
This led to it breaking off from the base at first opportunity.
It is easyly glued back on with superglue, but still unnecessary.
