Is this that letter from Taagrick that Anong Arunak is keeping secret? The one that apologizes to the orcs and would split the Dwarven population were it ever to become public?

Beautiful! It's great to see the storylines of the Iconics advance through a natural progression!

I'm surprised that Kyra and Merisiel didn't dress up for the occasion?

So glad that we’re finally getting some catfolk PC miniatures beyond the catfolk rogue that came out a long time ago. I hope to see a bunch more in the future!

Will we get treasure tables in this book?

Any information on Arshea? Domains, alignments, that sort of thing?

Is the default damage for Precise Strike (2D6) or does this only apply on a finisher? I think the default damage is +2...unless I’m mistaken.

How exactly do you fail a Precise strike? When you miss or something? Or is the move so powerful that if I get under the AC, I do half damage?

Can you put a Fundamental Rune on a normal weapon? For example, just have a striking longsword, not a +1 striking longsword? The Player’s Handbook always mentions weapons with pluses, as if they are either magic or already have a property rune installed. But what about regular weapons with ONLY Fundamental Runes installed?

I hope they come out with an alternative to having a Familiar, for those of us who don’t want an animal companion. Anyone else feel the same?

I hope this means we get some more Lizardfolk miniatures in various class roles for upcoming Pathfinder Battles sets. The same goes for the Catfolk.

I hope to see some Catfolk and Lizardfolk represented with class levels in future sets. Like a Lion Catfolk barbarian or a panther catfolk monk or a Lizardfolk fighter or Sorceress!

Speaking of Nocticula getting along with other goddesses, how well does she get along with Calistria or Arshea?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Is Calistria more of a "sex goddess" than Nocticula now or are the two goddesses about the same? Surprisingly, Nocticula doesn't have charm or lust in her portfolio anymore...

I much prefer this version of Seoni. I don't care about practicality or realism, but I do care care about entertainment and fun.

If people don't like the bare skin, they could ask Paizo or Dynamite to make second edition Seoni AS WELL and support THAT.

A second Empyreal Lord question: how would Golarion society view Empyreal worship compared to actual dieties such as Sarenrae and Iomedae? Angel worship didn't seem very popular with only 30 worshippers in large cities and small shrines, as opposed to large temples and such. Is it a thing like why worship the angel Gabriel when you could worship God himself? (This is all basically the first question)

Great to see fellow MOTU fans here!

How come Empyreal Lord worship is so secretive and not so widespread so people have to join Mystery Cults? I can see the Demon Lords, but you'd think worshipping Angel Lords would be a good thing...

Why can't a Warpriest swiftcast Crusader's Edge using Fervor? Am I missing something?
The target of the spell is a melee weapon. Warpriests can only use fervor to cast spells that target people, and can only cast them on themselves.

Okay, I get it now! Thanks!

Reminds me of the Sorceress from Masters of the Universe...

Why can't a Warpriest swiftcast Crusader's Edge using Fervor? Am I missing something?

Thank you!!! So happy that Lizardfolk are finally getting some much needed love! I hope there is a shaman or spellcaster of some sort coming up.

We need some Catfolk and Lizardfolk! I'm glad to see some Ratfolk though.

I hate to assume but given that she is a demon lord of succubus I always thought it meant sex. That or midnight snacking.

I think it's this. I would ask James Jacobs in his thread, but it's closed for right now.

Combat Stilettos.

"A small number of heretics venerate her as well, not as a demigoddess of murder and lust but as one of outcasts, artists, and the glories of midnight. The fact that such heretical clerics are granted spells as surely as the rest of her worshipers has caused not a small amount of discontent among her faithful, which Nocticula seems to enjoy."

So what exactly does the "glories of midnight" mean? Has this ever been explained?

That's just being uncreative. Think of all you can do with just words - suggestions, promises, and tempting implications.

The kiss is just the coup de grace.

I second this. No real succubus would deign to go for the kiss until the time was apropos.

(EDIT: This discussion put this scene in my head now- Valeros is discussing his new girlfriend that he's so infatuated with.

Lem: "Did you kiss her yet?"
Valeros: "No, she's very shy. She wants to wait until the time is right."
Lem and Harsk exchange looks. "SUCCUBUS!" they both exclaim in unison.)

In a way, that's the problem.

If passion such as regular kisses is a frequent habit among low level people that a disguised succubus is infiltrating has to keep putting it off because she can't shut off her energy drain power, she might be discovered...

At the very least, the person she's trying to infiltrate would discover that something is wrong, if she keeps making excuses. She couldn't do anything long term, unless she's using suggestion or domination spells to keep the person she's fooling at bay.

But a Succubus should not be 'regular' in the first place. That isn't her strength - caress the wannabe kissers lips with her thumb, her hair, nibble at his / her ear, tease, hint, distract - that is what charisma and skills are for!

And of course, somebody skilled at finding out the demonic temptress should watch for those kind of play - most regulars wouldn't think of it.

I was thinking something such as a succubus disguising herself as a wife or girlfriend. If she is trying to keep him away because she drains energy during passion, the guy is going to know something is off really quick.

Does a disguised Succubus have a choice if she wanted to kiss someone WITHOUT using energy drain? For example is if she's disguised as a wife and is kissing her husband and doesn't want to reveal her true nature immediately -- does the husband start suffering as if Rogue from the X-Men movies is kissing him?

Just asking is there lizardfolk characters like Grazzle the Oracle?

Allso there not seems to be too Many ratfolk characters.

I'm also on board for more Lizardfolk minis. Catfolk minis too. We haven't had any since the Catfolk Rogue.

Did the Runelords worship any gods (or demon lords)?

Sorshen seems like she would worship Nocticula.

So to my mind, a "good succubus" would target tyrants or similar people and tempt them toward the light side. This probably wouldn't take the form of sex, at least not the way a succubus tempts someone, because a tyrant can coerce or threaten women into satisfying his lusts. The good succubus is like the Ghost of Christmas Past, offering the villain what his evil lifestyle can't provide - inner peace, no one trying to assassinate you, relationships based on trust rather than fear, or maybe a second chance with that one girl that he's never been to win over despite all his power. The good succubus tells the tyrant that if he lets go of whatever pain or need drives...

I like this too. The "good succubus" convinces a tyrant to be loved instead of hated or feared or offers insight/guidance on how to change.

Succubi -- demons in general, really -- are agents of a malign will and have a larger purpose they wish to accomplish. Anti-succubi would therefore be agents of a beneficent will and also have a purpose they wish to accomplish.

I just can't figure out what that purpose would be. To bring joy to lonely teenagers across the world in order to help them develop enough self-confidence to establish relationships with other actual mortals? (Maybe.)

That's one purpose.

I would think the good succubus would promote romantic love instead of carnal lust. They might try to bring lonely people together, give confidence and inspiration to a would-be lover, try to reunite or reconcile couples who are fighting, make people realize that they are actually in love with each other, etc.

Is there any kind of thought or story behind the "Tooth Gang", the thugs from the cover of Pathfinder RPG - Guide to Absalom? They all have this strange look...

Okay, so I haven't read all posts, but isn't this matter of how you describe what succubus is?

I mean, I consider succubus to be "demon that kills you with sex", having good equivalent of that is pretty hard since killing, whether with sex or not, doesn't really sound very good-ish.

I think the opposite would happen with a "good succubus". Instead of draining your lifeforce and killing you, sleeping with a good succubus would buff a character, heal their wounds, remove their curses, etc. Like the Sacred Prostitute class from BOEF.

Wow, Grey Maidens AND Red Mantis Assassins!

When Areelu Vorlesh is in her Demoniac form, what does it look like? If it's the illustration by her stats, then when she isn't in this Demonic form, she looks like a normal human woman?

If Nocticula turned CN and becomes the goddess of Midnight, Artists, and Outcasts, would she still have the whole lust aspect going on?

Would Calistria and Nocticula get along or do they see themselves as being lust portfolio rivals?

Here's a link to Kobold Press' Dragonkin race.

Or is the OP talking about the Dragonborn race from D&D 5e?

If so, their GM will need to convert it to PFRPG.

Nope, I'm talking about Dragonkin. Like General Malesinder in Reign of Winter. Those Large sized suckers. Converting them over to a PC.

How would I go about making a Dragonkin a PC?

LMAO! The Dwarf looks like Tormund Giantsbane!!!

We need some more Catfolk. Like a lion-type barbarian warrior. Or a leopard female fighter.

Maybe a male or female Tiefling as well.

Great to see some Celestials! I wonder if this is it for this set?

I was just reading Demons Revisited and came upon the mention of a half-succubus and saw the template. Can a half-succubus be any alignment?

I don't think we have plans to release miniatures of our actual deities... it's not like they walk around in physical form in our world, or we expect people to encounter them on their home planes a la Planescape.

I just stumbled across this while looking for information about a miniature for a priestess of Desna--or anyone with a starknife.

Funny the difference a couple of years can make:
Cayden Cailean

Lamashtu

:-)

I wonder what changed? Popular demand?

LIZARDFOLK. Definitely need some more Lizardfolk minis. Melee warriors, ranged warriors and maybe a shaman to lead them.

I'd love some Catfolk too. We just got the Tigress Rogue, but I'd like to see Lions, Cheetahs, Tiger men, Panthers.

I wouldn't mind more Tieflings either.

A Purple Worm would be awesome!

I'd like to get the Vampire Sorceress from the first Beastiary.

Red Mantis Assassins

I'd love a Dire Lion and Dire Tiger.

A new Cyclops. One that looks more Greek, than the desert style Cyclops from before.

Arcadia for me. I'd like some Mesoamerican flavor, specifically.

I'd love a book on Vudra too.

How does a Cleric banish Ghosts? Like an Exorcism spell?

I know Cleric spells like Banishment and Dismissal work on outsiders like Demons and Devils, but how does a Cleric get rid of Incorporeal Undead?

Are you limited to Channeling Positive Energy, Ectoplasmic Metamagic and Ghost Touch Weapons?
