Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"I have no idea if I know how to use any weapons, but maybe if I try some out I can figure out if they feel familiar or not. At the very least I would definitely appreciate some armor."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Questioning us? What would someone possibly want to question a bunch of amnesiacs about? It's not like we remember anything other than our names and you guys already seem to know more about where we just were than we do."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa looks down at her bowl of stew and ponders the question. "I don't remember if I have a preference or not, so just water for now please."

Lysa will sit down somewhere at a table and eat her food.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Though not feeling very sociable at the moment, the grumble in her stomach urges her to follow the scent of food. Therefore Lysa puts her clothes back on and heads downstairs.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa will accept the remaining key and goes to the room and examines every inch of it out of both boredom and curiosity.

perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

There's also the gender difference. Lysa might be ok rooming with Idial, but not with two strange males she doesn't even know.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"I think that I would prefer the same."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Is that real sunlight? Does that window lead above ground?"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa follows the group, hoping whatever lies ahead is safe.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa turns and flees with everyone else.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Seeing the elf not turn into a raving lunatic or anything, Lysa will step forward next to undergo the procedure.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"I would like to learn my name as well, but would also like to first know how you plan on doing it. I don't want to blindly agree to anything, especially when I have no previous memories to judge things by."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa is ready to keep on moving as well.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Know her? I don't even know the ones that I am with. For that matter, I don't even know myself, so that is a pointless question to ask us."

Lysa looks closely at the Halfling, trying to see if anything resembling a memory pops up.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Did something bring the odd goblins down here too or are they native to these caverns? Has anyone ever tried to go up to the surface? Tried to escape this place?"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Have any of those who woke here the same way as us were ever able to remember anything of their past lives? Or why they woke here or who brought them here? Has anyone ever came here to check up on those who were asleep? It seems odd to put so many down here without seeing how they are doing.... And are all the races of the settlement as mixed as our own?"

Lysa doubts that she will get any useful answers, but that doesn't stop here from asking a bunch of questions.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa can only give a shrug and follow these new people away from the slimey creature that was just waiting to engulf them all.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Sorry, I think the boards must have swallowed my last post.

Lysa continues running with the other two, struggling to speak as she runs. "I don't suppose *huff* that either of you know how to deal *huff* with this thing? *huff* Or what we will do when the tunnel ends?"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Are there any stones we can pick up as we run to throw back at the slime?

Not knowing which way would be best, Lysa follows the scaled one down the tunnel.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa chooses to run away from it as well, though she keeps looking over her shoulder to see if it continues to follow them.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa jumps as all the sound stops. "Somehow, I'm more nervous now than when the drumming was going on.."

Lysa starts to walk faster down the tunnel. "This tunnel can't go on forever, I hope it leads to a way to the surface."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Haven does sound much better. Deep Well sounds ominous and I cannot remember whether or not I can swim and don't want to risk taking a dip in it."

Lysa follows the scaled fellow down the left tunnel.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Impressive kick.

Lysa will cautiously enter the room, take note of the bent metal bar and begins looking around. The first thing she looks for is to see if there is another door or entrance/exit of any kind in the room. Then she'll look at anything that may be laying around.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa will also head downstairs. "Can you get the door open?

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa will attempt to concentrate at the object and make it light up.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"There must be something around here that we use to make a spark with. Surely whoever was here before needed some light."

So great is Lysa's concentration on the torch and the thought of it making light for them, she unconsciously casts the light orison upon the torch. Thus making is shine with the needed light without it even being properly lit. Lysa gasps in surprise at the light.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

I hope not.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa jumps back with a small shriek when the stool is jerked from his hands.

"Uh, well, it sounds like there's something big and hungry in there. How about we go back down and check the other doors?"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa just shrugs and follows the others in whichever direction they want to head. Right now, she doesn't think it matters where they head, just so long as they are exploring this underground area.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa will stand back away from the door to give the lizardfolk plenty of room to break it open.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa checks to see if the door is locked, though she won't open it yet.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa looks warily between not just just both doors, but her companions as well. Finally deciding she would rather travel with unknown companions versus traveling alone, Lysa warily heads towards the descending door.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa tries to collect herself and calm back down after that scare and possible attempt on her life.

She takes in the large scaled figure in front of her, trying to reassure herself that so far, he seems friendly.

She'll shake her head at his question. "No, I have no idea where we are, how we got here or even why some strange creature was going to try to kill us. Most importantly, I have absolutely no idea, whatsoever, as to how to get back home from here."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa's item would have been her holy symbol, of course.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Lysa clambers out of her box and looks around the room, searching for something that she can throw or defend herself with.

What is that creature?! Why is it killing?! There's got to be something around here I can hit it with...

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1
Quote:
It doesn't matter... You hear something else... Whispers. Your inside something... A box? It's hard to tell... You, can't move... Why?

Wha? Where am I? What is this that I'm in? Why can't I move!? Oh my goddess, what is going on? Is this some nightmare, am I still asleep?

Quote:
You open your eyes and see the room before you, just as a light from above fades away. All that is left to see is the others... And the paper on their chest... Then you feel yours... And look down to see it...

Lysa feels herself trembling, though from fear or anger she cannot say. Who are all these people? Where are the ones who put me in this damn box? How dare they treat me so. I am not some common peasant to be toyed with at will. Am I? Wait a minute, who am I? Why can I not remember my name right now?

Thoughts racing too fast to speak, Lysa reaches down to her chest and grabs the piece of paper and bring it up to eye level and attempts to read it.

Hello all, looking forward to all the fun. I may have to go watch Unknown to get me fully into the mood for this game. (The one with Greg Kinnear, not Liam Nieson.)

Comments on rules -

I love customizing monsters, so no complaints there. :)

On damaged weapons, is there a special rule on how to fix them or how long that may take?

Krasota - Seriously, put a lot Vick's Vapor rub on the soles of your feet and then put socks on. For some weird ass reason it really does help.

This is Joy's submission.

Dotting. Thinking of playing a Divine caster.

Thinking of a cleric of Gyronna to try out this game. Will come up with backstory soon.

Welcome to GMing PbP gaming and good luck. :)

Having no spells prepared to deal with this sort of situation, Lysa will attempt to shoot the caiman with her crossbow.

attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
damage 1d8 ⇒ 1

confirm attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
extra damage 1d8 ⇒ 1

It is very impressive that I possibly critted for only 2 points of damage.

As she makes her realization about the mask, Lysa holds the thing out at arms length as if she doesn't want it close to her.

"Oh now this is gross. This isn't just a mask, it's actually someone's face that's been skinned off of them and tanned. Who would do such a horrible thing?"

Lysa may have been about to add more on the subject of the face mask, but is distracted when the men on the skiff start calling out.

"What's going on? Did they catch a big Blood Caiman or something?"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"The actual trial is scheduled to begin in a day's time sir. This is just a quick fact-finding trip to ensure that all of the information previously given to investigators is correct and that nothing was lost. Also, after situations have calmed down and people have had time to think, occasionally new things are remembered that didn't seem important at the time and new witnesses may come forward."

Holy symbol visible as usual, Lysa moves to speak with the group of fishermen.

"Good day to you all. We apologize for interrupting your fishing, is there anyone we should speak too? A town elder perhaps who was present during the events?"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Well, Son is accused of being responsible for destruction of the sanctuary, during which all of the patients and the chief administrator were killed. Guessing from the deformities of the heads, it is possible that these were once patients here. Therefore they might be the ones that Son is accused of killing, or at least causing the deaths of. The Barrister did not mention anything about ghouls though."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"I believe that the cannibalism and poor hygiene is likely an explanation as to why no one can really answer the question as to what is a normal hobby for a ghoul. Likely all researchers have been either eaten or driven away by their foul stench."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"I'm not sure why and I'm not sure I really want to do a close-up examination of them."

Lysa looks over the heads, though she doesn't touch any of them.

heal 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
know religion 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Trying to figure out what caused the deformities and why ghouls would collect them for any reason?

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Does the fire elemental also provide some illumination?

Lysa will go with the group and climb down the rope into the hole.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Looking a bit relieved at Sethis's suggestion of summoning a creature, Lysa will go ahead and pick up a small rock and cast light on it.

I'm glad they're going to summon a creature rather than just send Leon down. Who knows what could be down there?

"I will go ahead and throw a stone with light on it down the hole. If something does attack whatever you summon, it could still be useful to see what it is."
