Lugert sees Plergk address the goblin who turns to find the chief. Goblin:
"And let him know there is a new hero for your tribe. Plergk the Archer is your hero now. He fought the skeletons like a warrior." Hoping Plergk will either become a leader in someway for the tribe, or again, be a part of our coming travels. I'll let the GM spin the story whichever way he likes. He'd just be a hireling, not a henchman, if I had to guess. It'd keep the little dude from ruining any future storyline.

"Bah! We've scared off a dragon, and you're afraid of some omebuh? Let's destroy it and the spider and be done with this cave!" Can Lugert's Dungeoneering check give his any information when Samiya identified it? Lugert gives Kandor his morningstar and draws his bow. Is it still "invisible?"

"I think we're all set. Can you continue to lead the way, Kandor." Lugert keeps the Morningstar out. He winces from the pressure building in his head from the thorns' sickness.

Lugert watches as the deep gash in his body heals from the magic in Kandor's wand. "Uungh. Thank you Kandor. That was a horrible blow." Lugert moves up to the displaced skeleton's body. He kneels down, looking over the remains. "Who ever this was, he was a fighter of great skill. Fitting that his soul be put to rest with one last battle. What say you cleric? Is that wisdom or just fancy talk?"

Ok, Bless and IC should get rid of Lugert's sickened attack penalty. Lugert bats the skeleton's weapon strike away from him and grabs its arm to hold back the clawed strike. As it takes its step away from the flanking members of his group he attempts to bring the morningstar straight down its skull. Morningstar: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

"Ha!" Lugert barely wills his body to move but the vicious attack from the skeleton finds no flesh. I step on a trap. "Alright, be ready to back me up here." Lugert cautiously approaches the new possible threat, his eyes narrowing in on the skeleton and readying himself for it to come to life. If he reaches it without provocation he'll attempt to sunder the skeleton. Though I'm sure that's not the case. This is Pathfinder after all.

Lugert gestures for the others to stand aside, his complexion very pale. He takes his sword and begins cutting his way through the vines. What Samiya said. The pacing right now is great. My other games are a bit too fast for me to keep up sometimes, but this has been awesome. I see Lugert as moving more towards True Neutral as we progress. I want too see a lowly hunter turn into a tactical behemoth.

Cool, there's definitely some cool ways to go with this. I was looking at the Shaman with the Speaker for the Past and Possessed Shaman. Added skills, plus I can choose two skills of the same attribute type and have them key off of my WIS stat. But I don't know. I kind of think staying the course on Ranger would be cool too. It's all going to be determined by how this adventure turns out. If certain situations dictate a different need as far as character growth who knows what classes we all decide to take.

When Kandor points out the cave entrance Lugert thinks back to the original cave dive that brought them together in the first place. "Whatever skeletons are in there decimated a goblin tribe on its home turf." He looks at Plergk. "Plergk, put your bow away and use your hand weapon. Everyone else, you may want to use any potions or oils for your gear before we cross into that cavern." If we can, we should maybe give Plergk the masterwork dagger or a wakizashi if he doesn't have something to fight skeletons with. I kind of like this little bastard. Once they get near the shore, Lugert gets into the water and pulls the boat to the sunken tree, lashing it to a thick bough. Once he gets to the vines he gives his followers the "quiet" hand gesture and then pulls out a vial from his belt pouch. He pours it on the rag it was wrapped in and then polishes his sword. The blade seems to catch more light from the slowly rising sun. Oil of Magic Weapon Lugert then moves up to the nettles and moves them to the side to peer into the cavern beyond. Lugert's world stops dripping madness and he finds himself in front of the shack. He snarls to himself and heads back into the shack. He throws his sword across the room in a fit of anger and then tosses his bag over to where it landed. "These damn spells that play with my mind. When we return to Sandpoint I'm going to find a way to combat this somehow. I can't let this keep happening!" Lugert marches around the shack, rigid and angry. He eyes the body of the witch. "There are foul things all over this thicket. Look! Even someone versed in witchcraft is nothing but fodder out here." Upon hearing Kandor's orders Lugert returns to his kit and re-equips himself. He sheathes the sword and draws his bow. He looks at Kandor and nods, then looks to the goblin. "Come on Plergk, you're with me. We'll get the wood on our way back."

I kick myself for not taking learning another language seriously when I was in school. Growing up in a midwest town makes you believe you'll never leave and need to speak anything but English. I'm incredibly happy I left home to become an adventurer of sorts, but I wish I had another language to get me a bit further.
