So Sorry! Life keeps happening at a hectic pace. I'll be spotty for the next few days, but I'm still around. Apologies! Gravi ducks behind the wall, thinking, Typically then, haunts need something to put them at ease, And we all saw the gravestone with Swarez on it? Let's try this... he gathers his breath, yelling into the room without revealing himself, Swarez! Tell us and you can be at peace, what is the gate opening? he shrugs at his companions out of sight of the haunt.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Apologies, life's been really real for the last week or so! That was, well, exciting. There's a thing over here, I don't know what to call it and are those boots? beneath it? He casts about without moving to see if there is anything in the room, Can you think of a way over here? I can probably make the jump back, but I'm not necessarily the one you want poking at odd mystical things here. he asks.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
At least we have an easy time tracking him up here. Let me check the door and make sure no one's left any surpises behind for us. And it smells up here. Liotierri crosses the room, following the footprints carefully, and inspects the secret door, making sure no one's left anything behind for them. Perception, trapfinding: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12 Should a trap be located: Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 Okay those are terrible rolls... Liotierri waves Bryndis forward, everything's fine, let's see where he went!
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi looks up the ladder, checking his whips once again crossing his torso. Great I love climbing... he grumbles, pulling out a stone which glows with magical light. He releases it, and it immediately begins slowly orbiting the inquisitor's head. At least we have some light to help us see by. he says, following Bryndis up the ladder.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi listens a moment, thinking about what Ms. Nail has to say. So there may, or may not be, an artifact somewhere which cursed him in the attics? You'd like us to find him and the artifact? Aha! You want us to find him, and the Quarterfaux wants us to find the artifact so it can't do this again. I got it now. he pauses a moment for the rest of the Flagon Slayers to ask questions before continuing on with more questions.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi observes the woman outside the doors, Pardon me, Ms. Nail? We are the Flagon Slayers, and have heard you need some assistance? My name is Liotierri Magravi, and its my pleasure to meet you! looking at the foggy cloud he sighs, Cooking gone awry in there? he jests with her.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Earlier Liotierri orders a cheese sandwich, but abstains from anything stronger than tea for the moment. Perhaps he's our contact we're looking for? Up to date! Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 Gravi nods in the affirmative, Yes, we're arriving from Sandpoint, expecting us? Might as well see if this is our guy... Liotierri looks him up and down, his business I suppose... Liotierri Magravi, at your service sir. These are the stalwart Flagon Slayers, and I'll let them introduce themselves, he offers a short bow, and an effusive grin to his companions, Might we talk in a more private locale?
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi nods in appreciation, Starving.... let's get some food, the entourage is simply famished... he jokes. What other leads did we need to follow up with here, other than the Archive. It may be best to attempt to make contact later this evening with other leads....[b] he leans heavily into what he's not saying there, [b]And we'll need to work a different room than the Lodge we're staying at - it could get unseemly and dangerous, so obviously I'm into that, but that's later tonight.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Liotierri politely bows, introducing himself, Thank you Emely, I look forward to it. I am Liotierri Magravi, and it is a pleasure to meet you. I can understand how it would be challenging to find people willing to work in this place, it can be unsettling for sure. he politely says, and goes back to inventorying his gear while Emely brings up hot water for him to quickly bathe.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Liotierri follows the young woman, Thank you yes, the carriages in this city have no regard for the common passerby, a tub and some hot water would be ideal to wash away the dirt of the roads. What's your name? How do you know the Doctor? he asks politely while digging through his pack for some clean clothes.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23 Liotierri notices the good dr keeping a distance from him, and chooses to ignore it for the moment, Of course Doctor, he says, accepting a glass and pouring himself a healthy brandy, We've got a few things we're following here in the city, however none of them are particularly savory, so perhaps its best we find a nearby inn which can also provide the ladies and child with less anxious causing occupants. Now, if you don't mind- I would love to change into something less....smelly. And wash up briefly? I'll leave my colleagues to fill you in... he says and departs to clean himself up and change clothing.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Good afternoon, my compatriots and I are here at the behest of a mutual acquaintance I believe, and we were looking for a place to gather our thoughts. Having just arrived in Caliphas, and Sheila thought maybe we could look you up and say hello. he says with a flourish, realizing that the people with the best connection to the Pathfinders are shopping as he speaks quickly. Worst case, perhaps you can recommend a quality inn hereabouts where we might be able to work out of.... finding things you know... Bluff: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17actually -1 from the total for extremely fashionable not being in effect from the muddy sewer water....
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Liotierri nods, and promptly knocks on the door to the supposed Pathfinder Lodge, Maybe they can recommend a place for us to put up for the time we're here in the city. And I need a place to change clothing... ugh this all smells at this point in time.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 Gravi was considering Darius' question of place, when he's splashed by the coach. Shaking the foul water off, he says, Agreed. Now I need a bath and a change of clothes. Perhaps a long coat would be appropriate to purchase once we're settled to keep the worst of that off. Finally paying attention, he sidesteps the window-flung 'water', and laughs at Govrina, Ha my lady, its likely these folk are too cash-strapped to afford indoor plumbing, and laziness is part of living in the city. Everything at hand, why run out the bucket when you can toss it out the window and let it run off into the sewers? That does confirm the sewer theory however... Looking at the imposing building, he smiles, Well, it seems early, but could be interesting, should we? It is certainly after noon somewhere...
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
I'll find us a place to stay, Four or five rooms? Gravi asks with a pointed eye at Wayliant, Of course, five, Miss Julie needs her space... maybe six would be enough. he scoffs with a smile, meaning no harm to his friends. And with that, Liotierri begins the hunt for an inn with appropriate lodgings near where they landed. knowledge local: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 OR Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 Please take whichever roll is more appropriate, no matter the result
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Scanning the street after ascending from the small boat, Gravi smiles, Have no worries Darius, but maybe we should look toward some clothing a little less flamboyant than we'd wear in Varisia? This does seem to be my part of town certainly, at least it is not devoid of its creature comforts. Perhaps we should find lodging first, and then try to acquaint ourselves with the local scenes, not be obvious about what we're doing, other than we're a traveling band of adventurers with too much money and not enough common sense? Liotierri offers.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
The temptation to follow Wayliant and the others to see the flying ship was strong in Gravi, but seeing Talienda and Bryndis both engaged in things at the tavern, he jumps up and follows Wayliant and the others out the door, Wait a moment, I'm coming. he doesn't say much on the walk, taking in his surroundings and getting a feel for the city, I have to say, this is far more civilized than Sandpoint is, definitely preferable to that small town. he says with a smile. Gravi is suitably impressed by the flying ship, he quickly dissuades himself of trying to figure out how it works and trusts in the gnomish inventor's design. As Wayliant introduces the group, he merely smiles expansively at the two men.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi watches the interaction between Bryndis and the group of men, but seeing her relax some in their company, puts it out of his mind, and returns his attention to Sheila Hiedmarch, their employer, and the offer of a ride, Tal's got the right of it, the good man was able to make a connection for us, that mean any extra on these jobs since we're getting there on our own? he asks hopefully.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi watches the Ulfen group with mild interest as they approach and take up their place in the tavern, as Lady Hiedmarch asks about the quests and the others agree to both missions, he speaks up, We can do those I think for sure.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Sort of, yes, Bryndis, but also to curry favor with the escort and brings them luck and fortune in business. Gravi supports her conjecture. Magnimar I for one, am excited to be back on land. And yes, let's visit the Tavern, I'm sure we can't get into trouble there. the man laughs
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Understood sheriff, don't deal with the laws, try not to break them. If we do, run; if we can't run, lie; if we can't lie, try the letter. I think we've shown our ability to only mess with the law some, and if Ustalav is as insular as it seems to be, people are far less likely to call for the guards should some indiscretions arise. Gravi smiles at the last.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Liotierri takes note of each of his companion's demeanors, the blossoming romance between some, the retreat inward of others. Not having much to add at these moments, the Calistrian seems content, as if waiting his time for something, but not pushing the issue at all. Do we ride to Magnimar, or take ship? I can see benefits to either, but I just need to figure out my horse's disposition either here or there. I somehow doubt we'll need him in Caliphas. he smiles at the others.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi reads the crowd, and sensing that they'd be staying the night, orders himself dinner, a luxury room, and a hot bath. Sampling the curried salmon, he opts for the apple jack to go with it. How long do we think before we leave? he asks Bryndis. Hearing Wayliant's question, he nods, Its still a bit early for me, so I'm happy to sit and keep an eye on Little Miss Julie. whereupon he shoots a glance over at the kid, and satisfied that she's there, keeps an eye on her as he slowly sips the brandy-like concoction.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi nods sagely at the gnome's plight, I completely understand how these things can be misconstrued - comes in my line of work all the time. Sad how people can misinterpret things... I guess we are rowing, and thank you for the name of the contact Sheriff, that will be invaluable to us once we get there.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
I think we're in agreement, admittedly Talienda, Alina, Wayliant, we're pretty much all newcomers here, but it sounds like the right thing to do. Plus, putting a dagger to the heart of some Urgathians seems like a good plan for the month. plus the coin isn't bad at all...
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi nearly chokes on his tea when the Sheriff mentions the bounty, But I think Ustalav is lovely this time of year. I'm happy to take a ship and go by that route - or this idea of an airship.... he muses.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi swaggers in with the bravado of a man who's done some heroic stuff and reaped the reputational rewards thereof. He flops down at a table with the others, a steaming cup of tea in his hands. Morning, I miss anything exciting? I see we're all standing, perhaps a little bleary-eyed? But nothing like a night of celebrating when you feel so alive! he grins around the room.

Liotierri slowly tends the wounded with the others, using his last two healing spells on anyone injured in the party or the crew.
Well paying? I suppose sometimes it could be, but I'm pretty new with this group. But definitely high-risk! Mummies, slavers, high-wire acts, all in the last three days! But I'm for one nap right now... he sits, leaning back against a coil of rope, and dozing for the return journey.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Hi all! What an interesting way to do mass combat - I really dig what you've come up with mechanically! So I'm leaving on a cruise for the next 11 days. Feel free to bot me along as needed, and I'll catch up when I'm back! Gravi has a CLW in memory and a Divine Favor as needed.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi, annoyed at his miss with the unfamiliar blade, stabs again downward at the creature, I'm sorry again! Let's do this! Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi exclaims, Well done, now its my turn! Stay close.... and he crosses to the port side of the ship, borrowed rapier sliding from his hip and thrusts down at the mummy on the ship's deck. Sorry lass, wish we could have done better by you. attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Liotierri nods his head vigorously as Talienda examines the girls. He laughs at Darius' question, Fools and madmen, but who can truly tell the intention of such foul folk as Urgathians. I believe we should return to Sandpoint post haste. I am worried the longer we dally here the worse things could be on our return, and warning the sheriff seems paramount to me. Whatever they did in that circle was obviously let loose, either because they lost control of it, or they purposely let it loose. And it seemed from the journal that they are targeting Sandpoint to distract the town. he says lighting a cigarillo from a tindertwig, I say we let the captain decide if he wants to tow a ghost ship with actual bodies on it back to town. If he does - then we agree to 1/3 salvage, if not, then we let it drift here. the inquisitor seems impatient to be gone and back to dry land.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi's concerned look continues, but he drops his non essential gear by the rail they boarded the ship on and follows the group to the small opening. I suspect we're about to find something very bad....
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi smiles, Of course, Mistress Talienda, since we're being formal suddenly. Master Wayliant or Mistress Bryndis can also, but I'm happy to focus on something other than the immediate loss of life above...Usually I charge double for this... he translates the text interjecting a few comments...Where's Cassomir? and What's this Guldan ritual? and finally, Oh. No. We need to check the hold and get out of here now! he says, stuffing the journal into his shirt and racing for the other set of doors. Quick! Get everyone rounded up, but if this worked for them, we're about to be up to our fun parts in undead, and not in a weird fetish way! he crosses the room rapidly, drawing his rapier and preparing for the next bay on the ship.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi quickly inspects the desk, looking for paperwork and valuables, mostly valuables... Maybe there is something to tell us more of their infernal plans here. And then let's check the hold, I don't think I'm going to enjoy this much.... Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11+1 Trapfinding if needed
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Easy there friend, yes some horrible tragedy has happened- and they are gone. Heinously murdered at the hands of the Urgathians who kidnapped you. There was some kind of ritual done on the deck, and everyone on board, except for you, is dead. Liotierri shakes his head. The tired, but very well dressed Varisian man holds the cage open for Darius to exit. My name is Liotierri Magravi, but my friends call me Gravi. And how did you come to be captured in the hold of a slaver's ship? he asks geniunely.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Gravi looks angry at the carnage on deck. This just isn't fair. Those poor girls.... his sorrow stops him in his tracks for a moment as he stares. Drawing his newly borrowed rapier, he descends to the hold with the others aiding in the search of the inside of the hold. Once the captive is freed, he'll sheathe his weapon and continue the search.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Hey all, I'm traveling for work this weekend and probably won't be able to post. Gravi will go along with whatever's decided, feel free to bot if needed. If there are living opponents he'd dazzling display in round one with the whip and if the opponents are living and unarmored, he'll keep range with the whip and continue to demoralize before trying to get into flanking with the rapier. Intimidate is +11.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 Liotierri raises from where he was resting his eyes on a pile of rope, crossing to the other Flagon Slayers. He adjusts the rapier on his hip giving him a more rakish look, and slightly more fierce than before. Something's not right, sailors are superstitious by nature, and they aren't trusting this fog or the water here. Could be something really evil is on that ship, or its one of the ghost ships? Gravi looks around at his friends. Can anyone here swim? Or have some way to make me a better swimmer? I could sneak aboard and make a signal, but that's risky and I'm not a great swimmer. I'm game for either, could we attack with just our ship, and send the dingys from the other? he asks the captain.
Human (Varisian) Inquisitor (Sacred Slayer) 1/Rog 3 HP 31/31 F 5, R 7 W 6, AC 18, T 13, FF 15, Perc +10
Sheriff, given that we're undertaking a boarding action pretty much right now, is there any chance I could borrow a blade? Something smaller, like a rapier would be preferred, and I promise to return it as long as we survive. Gravi asks the Sheriff. See done! I also feel like it is now or never for the ship.
