Could you see Hector Escaton, robot-pistolero escaped from Westworld, fit in this?

Oh man! I would be so down to write up a druid! Maybe mix him with Paladin (Oath of the ancients) or Barbarian...

No, wait! A druid/rogue with the urchin background would be my pitch. A young street-rat that can turn into a weasel seems like a solid base for a cool character.

Potions: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Gold: 5d10 ⇒ (4, 9, 2, 4, 3) = 22
Silver: 1d100 ⇒ 68
copper: 1d100 ⇒ 34
Electrum: 1d10 ⇒ 2

Awesome! Thanks for running this. I really want to give the Paladin class a try.

4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 2) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 2) = 9
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 5) = 17
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 2) = 8
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 6, 6) = 20
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 3, 5) = 15

That's: 14, 8, 15, 6, 18, 13

I'm definitely interested too.

Hi Haladir! I’d love to play. I’ve never played Dungein World before but am eager to try. I’m reading through the srd at the moment and am leaning towards a halfling fighter.

I'd love to play an elven treasure huntress. I'm looking at getting a copy of the book, as i'm a fan of lord of the rings, and dnd fifth edition and it seems like a really cool mash-up. Would it be possible to pitch a character without having a book yet though? Also, which book would I need?

Rolling stats just in case:

4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 1) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 1) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 3) = 17
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 3) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 5) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 2) = 12

Ah! Awesome, thanks :D

Money! 1d10 ⇒ 2 x25 = 50 extra gold

I think he'll be from Darkon, on a current job.

Hi Shadow,

Here's a character sheet for Louis Morrow. I only have equipment left to do, and I need to fill in the personality bits. I had written a whole backstory, but with a wrong push of the button that disappeared. I'm going to re-write it now, but that might be done later today.

The short of it, is that Louis is the son of the owners of a road-side inn. Early on he took jobs running errands, and now he's dreaming of running his own stage-coach empire. A sort of fantasy styled pony-express.
He's made a name for himself as being dependable and trustworthy, and recently got licenced by a well established guild making it easier for him to score jobs.

I was wondering, does such a guild exist in Kartakass? Otherwise he could be from Fearun and got swallowed up by the mists. Also, you mentioned equipping for a 6th level character. Are there guidelines for that somewhere? Oh, and I went with average hp for now. Hope that's okay?

Character sheet: https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1606892

Whoa, what happened? Apologies, didn't mean to post twice.

I'd like to apply with a messenger. A dependable young man, and fast runner, who delivers letters and packages etc.. I'm thinking a human ranger fits the bill. Possibly a monk.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 4) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 1) = 15 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 5) = 19 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 4, 6) = 18 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 2) = 13 16
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 3) = 13 9

Hi, I’m still working on my hedge-knight and I just noticed I qualify for a reroll (and would like to take the opportunity.)

4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 6) = 18 16
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 2) = 12 10

Thanks for the information, it sounds like you're running the type of game i enjoy playing and reading through the game thread itself it really looks like a lot of fun.

I couldn’t get through the entire mail thread though because the yahoo mail setup with the mail threads and the replies gets a bit confusing to follow on my phone. I guess if I’m in it and replying myself I could keep track. But again, it looks like a really cool game and I’d love to take a chance on it, if you’d be comfortable with it.

The main thing I have is that i couldn’t relate to Tybalt all that much, and would find it hard to step into his shoes. If that’s a dealbreaker I completely understand, but if you need a character pitch at any point in time I’d be happy to see if I could come up with something decent.

Awesome!! Thanks Barty :)

I’ll also roll:

4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 5) = 16 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 4) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2, 2) = 11 9
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 1) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 6) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 4) = 13 11

Hi there! Pirates, dinosaurs and demons... that sounds like good times. I would be interested in playing.

I’m looking for a single game to really sink my teeth in. I think taking over an existing character would help getting into the swing of things, and if there’s a chance of possibly creating my own down the line that’d be awesome.

Can I read some of the story so far to see if I can match up to the style and tone? What are your expectations of players (apart from posting frequently, I suspect ;))

Hi! I’m extremely interested, the type of game you propose sounds like my type of game. I’m looking for a daily game and would love to get involved.

I’d like to play a ranged fighter or a ranger perhaps.

That’s 10, 8, 6, 15, 9, 13; I’ll get cracking at a character.

Hi! This looks like a fun time.

A down on his luck, broke-ass fighter. A knight without a horse and no hope to get hired by a respectable lord or even a rich merchant.

4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 1) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 3) = 10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 1) = 7
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 1) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 5) = 10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 6) = 14

For sure: expel the demonic forces first... everything else, later. Get well soon!

(I don’t really have anything to add to the character concept atm).

I’d love to take a crack at it too :)

Setting up the candles, organizing the cutlery and cleaning the windows.
Off to the market, buying the necessaries and carrying it all back before starting getting the kitchen ready for service.

Gathering firewood, firing up the hearth. Sweeping the floor.

Going up to wake up dad and remind him it’s time to open soon.

Opening the Seven Silvers, (usually paired with serving Old man McGee a dark ale and listening to his same old stories again). After which she’d find an excuse to do something in the kitchen.

Going up again, throwing dad his apron to his face or telling him the bar was unmanned now. (This was often the thing that had him come down and start work).

She’d do their laundry and clean up their home above the bar. Usually she’d find time to take a nap now, just before she’d be called down to help with the evening rush.

Life was not easy on Asina. She’d picked up the slack after her mother passed, trying to fill that role. Doing the things she used to see her mother do made her feel connected to her in some way, but she soon found out that there was no time left for her own interests. Her hours had her up to eleven and sometimes even past midnight, so her lectures were the first thing she skipped, much to the dismay of Father Prasst. There was definetly no time to run around with her friends like she had before.

Instead, now she listened to her friends’ fathers complain about their lives, spilling their drinks as they slurred into their cups.

At first it had been sort of exciting, this adult world that she’d been deemed too young for before. But the routines soon became all too familiar and the dreariness off it all set in.

Asina started wondering things. She started wondering if it was always going to be like this.. if it was her lot in life to marry one of these sorry villagers that would escape his life with her to drink at the bar.
The thing that kept her up at night though: was wondering if her mother had the same feelings of being stuck.

There were a few highlights throughout her weeks though. One of them was Jimes! He had never treated her the same careful, convoluted way everyone else had after the tragedy. Where others chose to avoid the subject, or treated her with pity in their eyes, Jimes had been ready with distractions and humor.

He showed her how to play pranks on the people that came in, and how to flick a coin in the air with it landing heads, every time! He took her under his wing and let her know about the card-tricks and he had stories about adventures and the people having them. He showed her how to judge the value of an item by its craftsmanship. He took the girl and made her streetwise in a seemingly innocent and friendly way.

This all happened under the watchful eye of her father, and when the stories became too raunchy, or the lessons too dubious for a thirteen year old.. a cough or a stern look were all it took to rain Jimes back in.

(It might be the reason he hadn’t done anything about Jimes’ petty theft, since he recognized that the man was a positive influence on Asina, making her smile every now and then).

Still.. Asina lay awake with worry in her mind. She wasn’t happy, and there was no way she’d be able to talk to her dad about it.

She had heard a few things about the group going on their adventure. Every time someone talked about it in the tavern, Asina had her ears open, soaking in the information. In truth she’d always been admiring of Aldelenna, who sang at the tavern sometimes.

If there only was some way Asina could run with that gang, she’d jump at the opportunity for sure. She’d prove that she wasn’t going to be stuck here for ever, that she was older than people gave her credit for. And most importantly of all: she’d do what she suspected her mother wanted to do all along.

OOC:

I hear your concerns about the rogue class, but hear me out:

Fast hands, climbing, dash and disengage. Hide...

It all perfectly fits a thirteen year old girl. Only the sneak attack doesn’t really add up, but that could easily be role-played as awkward luck, as opposed to a cold blooded assassin.

Opening locks to the register can be seen as experience with their own register, maybe losing the keys a few times..

I’d take the thief archetype ofcourse. Let me know what you think!

Hi there!

I could see Asina Silvers as a rogue, since she's working at the Seven Silvers, and “Short Change” Iggins is a waiter there..

He taught her the tricks of the trade. He might also have been the one urging her to follow her heart, recognising that she had been set on a path by her father that she wouldn't have chosen for herself.

Do you think that could work?

That’s disappointing :(

Totally interested! This sounds like it's right up my alley. I'd gladly join.

What city is the bar at?

I have a character in mind, and wrote a background for him. He turned out a monk, if that’s alright:

Oswald:

Oswald grew up in Baldurs Gate. He had a pretty good childhood and when he was of age, he joined the army. After serving for five years he came back home and took up a job as city guard.
He was sharp and not easily fooled, he could see things for what they were and his potential was soon recognized. He became a junior investigator and made his mark after two years. He uncovered a smuggling operation, human trafficking. The investigation revealed possible ties to a powerful noble in the city.
Oswald was kindly told to leave it alone. His superiors took over the case and put him on the next. Oswald wasn’t happy with the notion of the rich and powerful getting away with such nasty business, so he blew it wide open.

The noble in question was arrested, but after a long trial released. Oswald’s superiors were not amused and made sure Oswald got framed for the crime instead.
He fled the city and made his way to Waterdeep.

Oswald now roams the streets. A hobo, joining the evening fires with the other poor and downtrodden. He makes a couple of coins sometimes in backalley bare-knuckle matches, but drinks it away just as fast.

His lifestyle is obvious from looking at him. He’s dirty, usually busted up somehow in the face. Cuts and bruises. He’s wearing fingerless gloves and his chin hasn’t seen a razor in years.

Sweet! I'll get cracking on a application.

Would you be alright with a new guy? It's my first time on this forum, but I have experience with fifth edition, and with play by post. (Would love to get into it for the long haul)

I'm looking to play a spellcaster of some sort.
