Maybe give us something small to investigate or discuss? Or just have a drunk ogre stumble out of the brush. :-)

So what's next for our band of brave heroes?

Taking my first level in BARD so I can sing with you.

Krystid stares at the trident, hypnotized by its untold power.

Anything else before we move on? Did we win enough to go to level 2?

"That's great news! It's amazing how powerful this trident is. I wonder what else it can do."

Krystid, desperate to be a bard, tries to harmonize with Ienmar.

"We have everyone that was dwarf-napped?"

"Agreed."

"It's a sign... We can't destroy it. We have to take it with us, back to the elders."

You must still be in Texas. Sorry for your suffering.

"Do we have any healers in this stout party?"

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Anyone? I hope you didn't all turn into fungi-fiends.

No one has posted since Monday. Can we get something going this weekend? Maybe some healing or a long rest? Maybe search the dead?

Thanks!

"Unless one of you has some mighty magical healing, Amber and I could use a long rest."

Krystid fires a (final?) shot and does not even watch to see if it hits the priest before grabbing Amber's hair and pulling her face out of the water and onto her back. If that puts her face-to-face with the one who knocked Amber out, she will ask the others to help.

Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 191d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Krystid takes a deep breath in case she ends up under water and fires at the trident frog. (Assuming Morkam didn't end him) She will shoot the shaman as a second choice.

Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 191d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

"Oooh, that had to hurt..."

NPF's (non-player frogs) have all taken their turns, so we heroic dwarves should all go? Krystid is not in melee?

Krystid Character:
https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=2676719

Krystid is hit twice and loses 13/15 hit points. The pain is overwhelming, but she tries to stoically keep a stiff upper lip. She tries to do a withdraw action and back up as far as her movement will allow without drawing a free swing. (Is full defense an option?)

Are we still good?

Krystid falls back away from melee, trying to stay at missile range. She fires again at the one Amber attacked if it's still up. (Because she said nearest.)
Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 251d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

I've been watching the news about Texas. What a brutal summer. Sending you ice cream...

Only Morkam, Ienmar, and I have gone. Everyone else?

"Focus fire on the trident wielder!" Krystid exclaims the obvious.

Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 101d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Her foot slips and the arrow flies wildly and embarrassingly.

We go. Shieldmen first, shooters second.

Krystid looks ominously back over her shoulder and settles the child. "We have no other choice. Let's make haste."
She checks the hallway.

Krystid gathers the rescuees from Ienmar's shield when he arrives and tries to comfort them."Come on now. You were so brave! And the stories you will have to tell...maybe no one will believe you, but we will know."

Krystid makes note of the ballad and fires again.
Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

"My money is on Johnny in that fight." But she fires at the husk anyway.
Bo the Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Krystid fires from a distance, preferring not to wade into the unknown water. She instinctively shoots at the wounded husk monster.
Bo the Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
But she flinches at the horror of the slimy beast and her arrow flies into the water.

Forgive me for asking... Is a Minotaur husk a dead minotaur that has been animated by mold and lichen?
Eww

Krystid makes a subtle croaking noise in Amber's direction and then laughs as she follows Ienmar.

Krystid examines the strange walls...
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
and sees nothing special.

She will follow Ienmar at half speed.

Door on the right. Krystid covers the opener with her bow.

Krystid follows along in the second rank, trying to be alert for ambush.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Nature: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

She points at the frogman. "That has to be a trap."

Krystid, confused, fires an arrow at one of the trees Baldrek pointed out.
Bo the Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Nature: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Krystid continues trying to think up a song that will inspire the dwarves.

"I agree with that disturbing thought. Maybe apply a little fire to the picks and armor too?"

Krystid takes note of Johnny's strategy. She might need to be more defensive-minded against the frogs, but now is the time for offense.
Bo the Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 201d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Krystil fires again, although dismayed at the apparent damage reduction. Maybe she should move on from warrior to something else?

Bo the Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 181d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

You are right she did, I went back and re-read it. We'll negate the attack for now and say it pushed forward enough to bridge the gap.

Thanks John and DM. If they breached, did they disengage with the front liners or provoke an AOO from them? (It's so hard switching back and forth from PF1 to 5E. I bet I don't have a good grasp on "disengage." <Verb: to break up with one's fiancée.>)

Krystid's stats are on mythweavers, but I will put a few above when I get some sleep. (3:14AM here)

Please tell me if I'm doing this correctly. I don't have my PH here.

Bonus action to disengage, step back to fire at the one attacking Krystid.
Bo the Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 121d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Thanks for the support, brothers and sister!

Krystid thinks, "ZOMBIES!" and fires an arrow at one that isn't yet in melee. If she is closer than her brave wall of shields, she will then step behind them.
Bo the Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 151d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

The name is Damage...Max Damage.

<gasp!> "Brothers! What have they DONE to you?"

Krystid begins singing a battle hymn which will someday inspire courage, but not today.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Double Ones?!?

Krystid hops up on the dry area and starts stomping the muck off of her boots, completely oblivious to everything around her.

Survival (or Doom): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Inner monologue: "A bog? Bugs? This is awful. Why am I here? I was in a good mood yesterday..."

Survival: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

"I volunteer as well!"

Krystid fires a shot at one of the ones with a wand. Maybe that will break the spell.
Bow with Disadvantage: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 221d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
"Cursed rain in my eye!"

Arcana: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Strength Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

If she can attack again:
Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 231d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
