Scarab Sages

Thanks a lot GM! Completely makes sense!

@Lidia: I definitely think the whole RP is great. I just am sad to see Lidia go. She is such a deep character!
I like Kioshi, he is my PFS -1 character but he currently is not really fun to play for me.

So I would really think it is best if your character stays! She is now following the trail and hopefully the others will get to her fast.

I will create a replacement character asap!

Scarab Sages

Kioshi runs after Lidia.

”Hey listen Lidia, I know that we have different views about the world! But we all know the threats that are coming! We completely understand that a lot is at stake! And I also know that your power and your dedication is needed so that the goals of the team can be achieved! I ... I did not contribute much anyway. I’ll go!“ he says and casts a fly spell.

”Good bye!“ he says and flies away.

Kioshi becomes smaller and smaller and eventually has tears in his eyes.

“I .. I .. I am sorry… “ he says. “And thank you Ben for your words! It means a lot to me!“

He turns to Lidia.

“I knew that you did not like me and that is usually the case with many people because I am a little bit different in my head!“ he says and he looks at Ulretha, Thyste and Ben.

“Please do not think that I do not care or that I have no emotions! I was completely astounded and disgusted when the troll admitted that it killed the parents of this infant and I said that it was not OK … but I am not as eager as many of you are to just attack to take a life!“ he says with resignation in his voice.

“We never spoke about our past but I am an orphan so I know this child’s future suffering!!“ he says and tears start flowing.

“Being without parents… it’s not easy. My mother fled Cheliax years ago as a pregnant woman with five unborn babies in her belly. Well, her husband was willing to sacrifice her unborn children to close a deal with a devil. You know … it sounds better when I say „ her husband“ because I do not have to say … „my father“. As a kid I was always a little too protective … and so full of guilt … and although I did not know why, I knew something was missing. Today I know that my dead mother only wanted to protect us. Maybe if we understood what a dangerous man our father was, we would have paid more attention to her teachings ... maybe then not only she but also our eldest sister would still be alive!“

He turns to Lidia and looks into her eyes.

“I don’t always understand you Lidia. But you surely do not understand me. Rodrick was my friend. My friend because he was open minded and believed that we all can overcome our differences. Tell me Lidia!! Would you have fallen for a half-orc?! He did! He loved Brinya! Can you love?!“ he asks and now his voice becomes more forceful.

“All the hate that you carry in your heart Lidia and all the pain that you want to use to smash all those that you believe are evil .., in my eyes these are only weaknesses because you cannot look beyond your own sorrow and cannot see that all the fighting and all this dying only leads to more dying!! Dying that creates more orphans and people that carry the hate that I see in your eyes every single day!“

"Oh, you care about the baby now?" asks Lidia sarcastically.

GM, is it a boy baby or a girl baby?

”I care for many things!! Babys included!“

Kioshi looks at Ulretha in horror.

”Ehh ... “ is the only thing he can say.

Scarab Sages

Kioshi is not amused.

”We have to bring the baby back to a human settlement. It’s in danger with us!! One fireball and it’s dead!!!“

Scarab Sages

Kioshi looks at the dead troll and the crying baby and is clearly depressed.

”It is always the same ... sadly!“

He looks at Thyste.

”You are absolutely right. What are we going to do with an infant?!? I assume none of you can breast feed, right?!“

When they are looking for the right path, he tries to help.

Kioshi retreats a couple of steps as he is not sure what this is going to mean for this creature’s existence.

“Ehhh … that is not ok! I … “ he starts talking but suddenly cannot.

Lidia picks up the baby and just looks at it for a long time, saying “Hi. Hi.” to it quietly. She traces a finger along its soft skin.

As she walks out past Kioshi, she speaks to him in an undertone.

”Maybe while you’re kissing his butt and calling him ‘Sir’ you could ask him how this baby’s parents tasted.”

She finds a nearby log to sit on, goes through her pack, and pulls a little jar of honey. She dips a finger into the honey, then gives the finger to the baby to suckle.

”It’ll be ok, baby. You’re safe now.” she coos quietly.

Kioshi raises an eyebrow but feels quite insecure now.

"Ehhh ... and ... and did you eat the parents of this child?" he asks and simulatanously knows that he actually does not want to hear the answer after Lidia's statement.

Scarab Sages

Kioshi looks at the troll with a broad smile.

"Sir, I thank you indeed for you cooperation! May I assume that you could give us a description of the path to the Maker's church? And please be assured that we will not tell anyone about your cooperation!" he asks.

"Please Mr. Troll! Refrain from any hostile activities as our team is good at killing and you do not want us to be your enemy!" he shouts.

Ben, none yet because I could not report the game with only 2 people's numbers.

Kioshi, the sheet in the link should be fixed for you.

Hi GM, it would be great if you could report the last part of the AP as I learned that you can report an AP with only 2 players.

I heavily rely on the reporting on the Paizo page to keep track :-)

Thanks

Scarab Sages

Yes, I don’t need anything either. So we can continue!

Scarab Sages

"Okay, then cut it off if the hand belonged to your ancestors long ago Ulmo!" Kioshi says shrugging.

And the rug? Any magic there?

Scarab Sages

Kioshi investigates the rug and also casts detect magic.

”Please don’t cut into him ... “

Scarab Sages

Thanks for everything GM!

I think 1-3 are great suggestions!

What do the others think?

Scarab Sages

Kioshi looks at Ben and seems surprised.

“Ulretha’s logic is sound! Of course Ben is correct. Did I tell you about this one time when I had to memorize this tome and ... “ suddenly he stops talking, realizing that nobody is interested in his stories anyway.

“Yeah, another time. Let’s help Lidia!“

Scarab Sages

Kioshi nods.

”Exactly. There are many information to be processed and I only realized after it was almost dead and before I could say something ... well ... it was dead! Be glad that all these information came to my mind at all! That’s what Wizards are for!!“

Scarab Sages

Kioshi rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, you made that clear several times already Thyste!"

Scarab Sages

Kioshi raises an eyebrow after seeing this display of martial prowess.

"I want to congratulate you but calling me a witch does not help!" he says folding his arms.

He takes out his booklet and looks at Ulretha and then at Ben and Lidia. He tries to not look at Thyste.

"You might want to know that this dwarf was a broken soul and was bound to a dark god and was immortal before you killed him. A broken soul is torment and pain made manifest. Tortured to the extremes of both physical and mental endurance, and then taken beyond those barriers, a broken soul gains extraordinary reserves of fortitude and resilience as well as the ability to inflict a measure of its own terrible suffering on others. So I am quite astounded that you could kill him so easily!" he says making notes.

Scarab Sages

Wow. 8!

Just a question: Can we increase the difficulty of the encounters? I really have the feeling that all opponents are falling so easily. ;)
