I would agree to that. It may not be a cove, but any sort of natural shelter is perferable.

Let's continue onwards, just remember to keep drinking plenty of water.

Aye..my poor eyesight won't do wonders if I'm on point, I'll keep myself in the middle of the group. Shout out if you need help.

I think we should make it to the peninsula tip if possible, we may need to camp half-way.

I will come too. I think we should thoroughly clear out the northern tip of the peninsula before heading towards the main body. Better shot at finding a repairable wreck via that route.

Well, we should start scouting out the island, at the same time make sure our temporary shelter is well guarded. Now, we managed to scavenge a few items off out ship to aid us, how about yours?

You could say so. I think it's been two nights since landfall. You could see we're probably luckier that many survived than just the two of you. We were bound for Eledar too, now it's naught due to the current circumstances. Right now I think we'd managed a foothold on this damned island. Next step is to get means to get off it.

Now we have a group of 12 survivors, how important is ration tracking enforced? Do we need assignments or rosters for camp?

Hail! Surely you couldn't be in the same fate as ours? Our rotten luck has bought us here stranded and shipless, you couldn't be much worst off as there is no tavern to be had here, as I keep telling my fellow survivor here. Or might you suffered a mighty bump on the head to yearn so?

Campsite:
Slowly chewing his breakfast, Kieran's poor sight does not really reveal what the others are pointing to. The news though prompts him to equip his sling and load a bullet in preparation.

Campsite:
Rubbing his prodded ribs, Kieran rubs his eyes and rises up to a new day. Nothing happened last night eh? So far so good. He checks up on the rest of the group, before gathering up provisions and starts preparing a rudimentary breakfast.

Campsite:
Kieran prepares himself for first watch, having nothing else to add for the night.

Camp:
That would be much appreciated Master Derindi..I didn't know you were a spellcaster. But that is just for comfort's sake...I wouldn't trouble you if a little heat got to me. Does anyone else have anything to add before the party turns to a new day?

@theman, thanks.

Camp:
Kieran looks over the items salvaged from the Jenniver. He sets up a rain-catching mechanism with the canvas found. With the npcs and DMpcs there's 6 characters that can help with the care of the camp. It's a pity I don't any spells that can cope with the beastly heat tomorrow morning. Oh well. Gathering up the fishing nets he goes to the water's edge and sets them out, thinking of gathering the catch in the morning.

Camp:
Heh, it's certain then. We'll set out coming morning. I'd volunteer for the scout group as well. I don't mind taking first shift for tonight's watch as well. Presumably it's the gear found on the Jenniver while Kieran was busy camp making. I haven't seen it yet too.

Campsite:
I'd hope to scout out the island's shiv like peninsula before heading out to the main body. We might find other wrecks like ours and maybe also supplies.

Camp:
I'd hope we'd be the scout party. We'll change camps with travel further in land and finding better areas, one with clean water, defensible and strategically located.

campsite:
I reckon we'll get a chance to hunt here based of how long we're stuck here. As for the captain, bad poetry or not we still need to find him. Splitting our group here to two may be a good idea. A camp group and a scout group. We will cover more ground and return to someplace we can call a home away from home. What's the current headcount at the base camp? npc and pc.

campsite:
That is quite a haul there. We may need it sooner that we think. We didn't notice any signs of habitation during our small trip. Is Iena and the captain still alive? Someone has to answer for this mishap, we need to to locate the captain.

Campsite:
Interesting story, that. Well, if we do come across the Brine Demon somewhere then you'd have a chance for your redemption. If the others seem fit to release you from your manacles, so shall I. If I remember correctly, we didn't have a chance to introduce each other, yourself being locked up and that. My name's Kieran, out of Kintargo.*offers hand*

Campsite:
So they did, hmm. Framed for what actually? Fraud? Breach of trust? Do tell so I could rest easy. I might even be inclined to help you seek vindication. Sense Motive: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16

campsite:
Some I suppose, Kias. Should look at the map I've drawn here. The heat's beastly. Should have a meeting tonight over dinner, decide on our course of action. Like how to get off this island at least. Or who's responsible for our current state. *addresses Jask* Good to get rid of the shackles at last eh? Why did they put it on in the first place?

Explorers,GM:
I wound not want to risk an encounter just yet. We'll mark where we've spotted these beasts. And bring a bigger group next time. And skirt round the shoreline too. 2 hrs 45 mins of trekking, if start to go back, we'd be back just as nightfall creeps in.

GM,Explorers:
We'll head out West till the end of the peninsula and return back to camp, noting any spots interesting enough to explore.

I'd prefer a cleric to join in the team. There's a fighter, sorcerer, rogue and oracle currently on roster.

Explorers:
Excellent. We're at the middle of the peninsula. Let's make the campsite the cut-off and we'd finish exploring the tip of the northwest islands. What say you Asasha? *casts create water and drinks* GM, since Shuri-Neko seems to be withdrawing from this AP, could we get some more pcs? currently there's 4 of us.

Explorers:
I was kinda of hoping to to get an early lay of the land, any elevated ground or something like that. Lets at least see if there's any trails in the interior.

Jungle Explorers:

Survival: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
Fortitude: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9 up to 30 ft though

Well, our trio should do just fine then. Now, to find a way off this island and back to civilization.

It's a hot and humid day, better not to dry ourselves out. Don't worry about freshwater. I can create some on demand. So, who's gonna come see the island with me? Not that I can't see very far and need an extra set of eyes mind you.

Well, there's a place to stay, food to eat and an unexplored island. What I remember of this island it's that we're not the first to get shipwrecked here, not to mention it's reputably to be haunted.

If it's not getting dark, we should do a head count plus inventorize what booty we have and start exploring.

Welcome to my humble abode, if you'd accept my hospitality. Not that there's no serviceable inn around for the foreseeable future.

Could Kieran take 20 during the setting up of camp to discern current location?

Kieran would start the thankless task of setting up shelter.
I will stay here and set-up shelter. Let's hope there is something useful to be found on the ship when you return.

I don't mind swearing as long as it fits the setting. It will be distasteful if it seems as it came out from a modern movie.

@Jack, I make an effort to check spelling and punctuation whenever possible. We can RP and have good sentence structure too.

GM:
I'd find out where we are currently, if we have time we'll erect a shelter. Need another roll?

As I said, we might be here awhile. We'd have to make a list of priority things to settle before sunset. Asasha, I would like to come, but it may be dark when we return. I'd say we get a shelter up and running before exploring further. We'd also need to find where we're at.

Survival: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 1 = 21 compass,mapmaking kit

Heh, heh. Enjoying the small joke, Kieran proceeds on awaking the rest of the passengers. He finds one of the gnomes extremely hard to arouse.
It is already midday, judging by the sun. Anyone remembers what happened before? I must have dozed off at the dinner table. We should be gathering what supplies we can salvage and seek shelter soon. We're going to be here awhile.

Jlighter, how long do you wait before declaring somebody dropping out?

I will do to the best of my abilities. Kieran checks the forms on the beach, ascertaining the nature of their malady.

Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Takes 10 for perception = 9

It is obvious from our surroundings that we are on dry ground. Question; Where are we? How did it happen? Why are we not dead? Where are the rest of the crew, and the captain? Is the ship repairable?

*points to the Jenivere nearby*

Kieran says this as almost as speaking to himself.

Critical fumble deck? Well, I'd vote yes for the time being and subject for review.

Jabbing at air Kieran adjusts his aim a little and hopes for the best.

Bless 3/6
Standard Attack S: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 25 bless, flank, sickened
Damage:1d8 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 - 2 = 12

Seeing the sole critter threat, Kieran takes a step towards it whilst drawing his long spear. An attempted jab tries to pierce the caraspace and strike the soft innards within.

5ft step SW.
Move: Draw longspear.
Standard: Attack S, critter.
Blessed 2/6.
Sickened.

To Hit: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 - 2 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 2 = 9

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

The sound of fighting laced with intermittent sounds of waves gradually nudges Kieran awake. Tasting the edges of bile on his throat, Kieran manages to hold it in with a gag.

Move: Rolls to North-West
Standard: Cast Bless 50ft blast - +1 to attack and save vs fear - 1/6 rounds

Yay. Seeing map now. Thanks!

Can't see the map?

Rumors from the horse's mouth such as this somehow lessens the blandness of the soup to nothing at all. Kieran lifts up his spoon and notices his bowl, nearly empty. Hmm. Hmm. Hope its nothing to do with the prisoner in the brig I've been hearing about, or that Varisian woman too.

Well, I meant by the change in course. As a member of the crew surely you're more privy to the ongoings aboard this ship?

Boarded in Kintargo, Cheliax

Kieran sips the soup slowly. 73 days and the food isn't getting any better! First thing I'll do in Eledar; getting a nice roast lamb, that's for sure. "Nice soup ain't it?" says Kieran to the young girl, noisily slurping her soup. "I'm sure there's enough for extras." Without waiting for a reply Kieran adds,"Asasha's your name yes? Any idea where's the captain headed to by any chance?"

Attaining the dot.

My bad x 2! I'm ready to start, though I'll punch in the general background in and remaining gold.

As I was perusing the party characters, I noticed a lot are going the Intimidation route, perhaps Dazzling Display?

My base Intimidation skill at Lvl 1 is already 14. If any of the party is keen for that, I would like to change my skill set so we won't overlap.

Okay, I've revised it again. Str(18+2) Dex(12)=2 Cons(12)=2 Int(10) Wis(8) Cha(14)=6. Correct?
Gold=105gp from average class +200gp from trait(get it through)

BTW, @psionicfox what teamwork feats you have in mind in the future? I'd be game for being teamwork buddies.

Kieran is almost finished. How much gold? Average as per class? Lump sum?
