"You people?" Julius scoffs. "Focus on the actual threat instead of the made up one, please."

"You're right, I did too. Hmm. That was kind of a shared dream though, right? Maybe it only happens if you're dreaming solo?" Julius concentrates, trying to remember the man who turned into a ghoul. "His eyes WERE closed, now that I think of it. I think we're on to something here-he was asleep, I'm almost sure of it."
"Well, if they were the dangerous ones, why are you now trying to kill us? Look at Theo, he's bleeding all over the place!" Julius backs up a bit, lost in thought. He snaps his fingers as an idea comes to him. "Wait, you said you died in the dream? Guys, we've never died in our dreams, right? Mara, when you went under recently, you didn't suffer any injuries? That might be the key to it!" he exclaims with a big grin on his face, which quickly vanishes as he realizes the implications of what he's saying. "Uhh...which means we've either gotta be really careful about when we fall asleep or start running on no sleep. That weird gas that we found earlier could've been incredibly fatal to all of us."
Julius regards the doppelganger curiously, staying far back. "What do you mean, we put you there? We put a few cultists in there, no doppelganger. Who are you?"
"Awwww yeah, more reading!"
Sounds about right, think you covered the whole gist of it.
"Well, those seem like pleasant dreams...can we not do that again? I think we can safely say after two attempts that the weird gas makes you non-elves pass out."
"Right." Julius calls back. "So that didn't work, should I get on with the stabbing?"
Julius nods. "Good point, Dervak-not sure why we didn't think of it before." After pulling Mara out, he goes back in with the medicine and tries to administer it to her, his sword already drawn just in case.
"Oh my god, she just ran in there..."Julius mutters to himself as he goes in to pull her out again.
"It's been like thirty seconds, Mara. You collapsed and then we got you out of there. Was there anything else you saw in that dream? Something that might help us?"
"Mara!" Julius rushes in, trying to pull Mara out of the mist. He's hoping that his elven blood will protect him from whatever knocked her out.
Let's go for it! What's the worst thing that could happen? He says, knowing that there are several fates worse than death that could happen.

Julius looks out the window, and back at Theo. "Now, how'd you do that? You got some weird lightning powers you never told us about?" He grins, clearly kidding.
Sounds good! Hope everyone has a good week. My school job ends tomorrow, and I start my summer job on Saturday. Hopefully shouldn't impact me too bad, just wanted to let you guys know.
"So...if you die in your dream, you die for real?"
Julius nods frantically at Dervak. "That transformation was far, far too fast. This is not a normal ghoul. We should step back just in case it gets out."
If Rowan doesn't want the short sword, sure! I'll take it as a rapier.
"Aww..."Julius lightly closes his book, clearly sad to have to leave his reading.
"Huh. So the Accusers are after Lowls? Interesting. They've deposed many families in the past. Them coming after Lowls and us ending up here...I have a feeling the two are linked. You have to do something pretty bad to get the Royal Accusers after you."
Julius smirks. "Heck yes, most stable. Although in a group of amnesiacs, that doesn't seem like much of a victory." His smile disappears as he gets to Zandalus's file and he makes the same connection as Dervak. "Lowls...he's not just a count, he's THE Count. As in, he rules this land. We used to work for him? I wonder what he would've wanted with us...I mean, we make a fairly motley crew. Explains why we work so well together though. I think you're definitely on to something though, Dervak-whatever was infecting Zandalus, somehow we got hit with it as well. Three years...gods, I can't believe we were out for that long."
Yeah, that was a hell of an info dump. This is a pretty great campaign!
Julius nods to Mara. "Sounds like a good idea, I've been dying to get into those records myself. I'll help you."
"Not for nothing, but I've never heard of someone losing that much blood and surviving. But who knows? There's so much weird stuff going on right now...this is all just such a headache."
Julius peers at the lock. "Seems easy enough, just gotta wiggle this in here and pop the pin out...there we go!"
"How many files are there behind the bars? Maybe we could move them out first?"
Julius cocks an eyebrow. "The who now?"
"What will Zandalus do to you? Just out of curiosity. Because telling someone you sleepwalk doesn't seem like something that you would get punished for..." Julius inquires.
"It seems so obvious in hindsight, nice thinking Dervak."
"We haven't found anything that could possibly be construed as medicine, right? Or like...a really big cork or something? I just don't want to think about the possibility of swimming through this back to the chapel."
Julius helps to tie up the remaining cultists. "I agree, maybe we can find a way to help them in the future."
Julius dodges to the left, then snaps his rapier out once again at the crazed cultist. He smiles, clearly starting to enjoy the thrill of the battle. He strikes a slightly defensive position, as if daring the Apostle to come after him again. "Heh. This is all coming back to me now...en garde!"
"Don't let them touch you! Unless you're an elf, their touch is paralyzing."
Julius ducks the blow, his rapier flicking out to attack his assailant.
He calls back behind him. "Everything okay out there?"

Julius picks his way through the room and levels his rapier at the remaining guy. "See these guys? You're next. Drop your weapon."
Unfortunately, his voice cracks as he tries to sound tough.
Julius blinks in surprise as Mara almost single-handedly takes out the entire room. "So uhhh...do we mop them up now?" He hefts his rapier. "Guess we can just kind of stab them at our leisure, right?"
Julius moves up next to the door, besides Theo. He draws his rapier as he does so. He nods to Theo in appreciation. "Nice web, looks like you got at least a few of them. Splitting them up, good idea."
Julius lets out a hiss of pain as he's slammed into the wall. He pulls out an extract and downs it, sighing in relief as a few of his wounds close.
"Huh...if Gorum's saying it might not be a great idea, and he's the god of war...I dunno, guys. It never seems like a good sign when the god of war says to not go through a spooky door into what is surely another battle on the other side of the door."
Julius cracks his knuckles and gets to work. "Man, we're gonna need to recruit a bunch of the people back there to help us go through all this stuff..."
Julius kneels down and tries his luck with his new thieves' tools. "Watch my back, guys. Hopefully this'll be a little easier than last time."
Julius pockets the thieves' tools. "These'll definitely come in handy." He glances at the patient records. "We'll have to come back here, I want to spend some quality time in here with the records. You're right, Mara-if anything about us is in this place, they'll be here."
Julius swipes through the door frame.
Julius moves next to Rowan.
Julius tries to stab at the fleeing guy.
Julius steps forward to let Mara in and swings out again.
He grimaces. "Guess I'm still getting warmed up here..."
