  • This is an urban adventure that requires a fair bit of investigation and time spent in the seedier sections of the city.

    The Adventure Begins

  • You are regulars at the Inn of the Upturned Cup, one of Korvosa's most famous.
  • It is the year 4722, and Odric I, the Stout has been king since 4716.
  • The Tale of the Upturned Cup is common Knowledge to most, especially those who frequent the eponymous inn. As of this post, I do not have a summary together for Curse of the Crimson Throne, but I will work on it as you prepare your characters. I've been meaning to do this for years, and now I have a reason.
  • You are free to have known each other for as long or as little as you'd like, but you've been in Korvosa for at least the last 6 months.

    While serving Mendev, a cleric of Iomedae was the only one nearby to assist a woman going through a painful childbirth. Try as he might, he was unable to save her life. He was able to comfort her in her last moments by swearing to see that her child was cared for after her passing.

    To his surprise, the child showed signs of pit-fiend heritage. The cleric, making good on his word, raised the boy as a Paladin of Iomedae. Turning his drive for destruction to destroy the enemies of the church; all the while instilling in him the desire to preserve goodness, loyalty and to protect the weak.
