This is Drogeney's submission. Everything should be done and in the profile, though I can put it all here as well if requested.

As for a writing sample this is the introductory post from an NWOD game I am in over on RPOL playing a changeling who looks like a ninetailed kitsune beneath her Mask.

Writing Sample:
Kimiko's mornings always started early. It was a rare thing when she woke after the sun had risen and today was no exception from the normal routine. Kimiko liked the routine as it had been something very effective at readjusting to life in the "Real World" again after so long trapped...elsewhere. She rose from bed, went through her morning aikido practice, showered, and then had breakfast. That last was something that varied a bit though, while she usually preferred to eat breakfast at home she had an appointment today and so she had put it off until she had arrived at Rose's Café.

Despite it not serving the kind of foods she vaguely recalled from her childhood Kimiko enjoyed eating at Rose's and had learned a lot about American Cuisine there. When she walked into the café Kimiko was wearing a dark blue dress that had straps over her shoulders and left her arms bare while hugged the curve of her body before flaring out over her hips into a loose knee length skirt. She wore a pair of soft souled black shoes, black hose, and carried a small purse over her shoulder.

Once she was inside Kimiko saw that the seating was open so, as she waved at the waitress as she went to take a seat at one of the tables on the second floor. This was a departure from the usual as Kimiko generally sat on one of the stools on the first floor to eat when she came there, and the waitress' eyes widened in surprise a little at this sight. As she passed the waitress Kimiko said, "I'm meeting a friend today, would you send him up when he gets here please Sara-san?"

When she reached the upstairs Kimiko took a seat at one of the tables towards the back, lining up carefully before sitting in the chair, which had an opening down low in the back, with her back to the corner and took out a menu left on the table. Kimiko didn't really need to look at it to know what she would order, she did tend to be a creature of habit with all of her routines, but she never could be sure something else would sound better. Kimiko was trying to convince herself to break out of her comfort zone a bit more this morning and try something new as she waited for her companion to arrive while there was the occasional odd sound of something softly swishing against the floor where nothing was there to swish.

I can't say I'm surprised considering the delay and I understand. I'll certainly still be ready when/if you come back to run it so definitely let me know.

Still here and ready to play. I have a godling to seduce.

Be glad you're not here, it was -2 when I got up and not expected to get much warmer.

Alright, so what I did is dropped Mythic Spell Focus and took Extra Path Abilitiy so I could get Deific Defense and keep Divine Source.

Isn't mage armor one of the spells that is removed by ABP? thought it was for some reason.

My mistake, you're right, the HP was from the tiers, it was +1 skill point per level.

As for the AC issue, finding a way to get a charisma bonus to AC would be rather nice, and Nereid's Grace would work.

Given what I am building her towards (becoming a goddess) maybe something could be done via a mythic ability to gain that as a bonus.

Dm Nate wrote:
your inspire courage bonus is listed at +4 but it looks like it should be +3?

I corrected the Inspire Courage bonus, you're correct it is +3, got it confused with Inspire Competence.

Dm Nate wrote:
I don't see a favored class bonus?

Fav Class went into hit points hence the additional +11 HP.

Dm Nate wrote:
it looks like you're missing a trait (everyone should have 2)

Second Trait was Heirloom Weapon (made sense and is part of the background).

Dm Nate wrote:
under path abilities you have legendary item listed but the descriptive text is from the still the blade ability. I don't see a legendary item so I'm assuming you're taking the latter?

You are correct, it is the godling ability and has been corrected.

As for Ecclesiathurge
Yes, the ac is pretty bad as an ecclisiathurge the benefits to it are:
1.) Ecclesiathurge's vow (sucks).
2.) Bonded holy symbol (rather meh really)
3.) I can change the secondary domain spells out for a different domain domain that Shelyn provides each day during preparation but not the abilities. That means I have potentially the domain spells for Prot, Luck, or Air instead of the ones for the good domain. (can be a pretty big deal).
4.) Blessing of the Faithful can be very powerful, especially when burning a channel to extend the duration as it stacks with most buffs as it is a sacred bonus.

This is where one of the downsides of the automatic bonus progression come into play. It doesn't account for classes that might have gotten an armor bonus from bracers of armor very well as I would have bought some to boost it more provided you ruled it didn't violate the vow to do so. Or am I mistaken and those are something that can be taken?

There, clerical list filled out. Any offensive spells (spear of purity/searing light/etc) can be considered empty slots unless we know we're going into combat in which case I'll adjust accordingly.

I also swapped out the phylactery for a normal rod of reach spell for one increment increase which makes it a +1 and costs the same as the phylactery did.

Don't feel the need to back off of them, given they are save or suck it never hurts to have more available.

I'll get my clerical spells prepared and equipment polished off today.

Looks good Gavin, I'll keep it in mind when I prepare my clerical list as well. I would warn that bless isn't going to be as useful as bardic performance will over ride half of what it does though the attack bonus will still work.

I'll get my clerical list roughed out, at least the stuff I take daily, and leave some empty slots tonight/tomorrow. Unfortunately it is now time for breakfast and work for 10 hours. Let's hope there isn't a repeat of last night when most of the network went down and that they still aren't playing catch up this morning.

Now that I'm home and have other gameplay posts done back to the rest of this.

Expanding on RP experience a bit I have been involved with Play by Post specifically for around six or seven years now I think and have been, and am in, a number of them. I play both here and on RPOL.

My game preferences lean more towards social as opposed to combat. I prefer more social characters largely because I am not very social IRL and it has helped me get past some of my limitations in that venue. Dungeon Crawling is fine in moderation but my posting usually slows up if they go for too long as interest wains a bit during those times (probably because dice hate me most of the time).

As far as appearance I have a picture for that in the profile as well as a write up but I'll put it here as well.
Description
Indrana is a gorgeous thirty year old aasimar woman with pale pink skin, curly brown hair to her lower back, and a gorgeous figure. She wears light clothing mostly dresses in reds and pinks, and stands roughly five and a quarter feet tall. The most obvious feature of her extraplanar heritage is her eyes which appear to be pink beryls that glow with their own internal light. She wears a holy symbol of Shelyn around her neck and carries a glaive that she uses to devastating effect in combat. Her voice is always lyrical sounding and she moves with the grace of a dancer and draws the eye of most everyone who enjoy looking at beautiful women by her mere presence.
Indrana

Personality wise Indrana is more of a lover than a fighter. While she won't hesitate to fight if necessary to protect those she cares for she will try to defuse a situation first if given the chance. She has something of an open door policy and will welcome anyone who needs help as best she can. She also enjoys performing for an audience and entertaining them and is very much trying to attract the God King's eye and earn his love.

So you're saying that we need to attach an illusion of clouds to it and you can call for your flying nimbus.

Hmmm, realized I missed some sections on the last post. I'll work on those later when I have the time. While I can occassionally post from work it is by no means reliable and tends to be a bit rushed as it can take a couple hours to make a small post. Most of my posting is before/after work or wed/weekends when I'm off.

I've been playing games since elementary school on the old NES but as far as RP it's only been the last 15-18 years and most of it has been pathfinder. I am also involved with Legends of the Shinning Jewel living campaign as second tier campaign staff and play/run games for it at Origins and Gencon.

Here I am, thanks for selecting me!

As for how I see Indrana participating she is very much a support build she isn't supposed to be any closer than 10 feet from an enemy and when in melee will rely on using adoration to avoid big hits. She will provide bonuses from bardic performance and use her spells to affect the battle. I haven't filled out the clerical spells prepared yet but will over the next day or so. Given her selection she can provide limited control with her various spells trying to turn enemies into allies.

Out of combat Indrana is meant to be the counselor type and a moderating influence. She is able to be the face of the party if needed and is accepting worshippers as she is a burgeoning goddess after all.

I imagine that Indrana has a small number of worshippers currently and will detail out a few of them. They would help her with her various tasks and ministries but will be very much background characters that could be used for plot hooks.

As for equipment I'll look into that. I don't believe I took selective channeling so I might ditch my philactary in liue of something else. I'll have to look into after work.

Good luck all!

Alright, realized I'd forgotten to decide on one of the mythic path abilities and have now taken care of that.

There, that should have me finished except for clerical spell prep. I tweaked my skills some but should be done with that at this time.

I decided to take the Ecclesiathurge archetype for cleric and wanted to check. Since I can't wear armor or violate the vow aspect is using the armor attunement on clothing (which it says can be done) also considered a violation of that vow? It gets very murky on a few things with the archetype so I thought I'd better check before I set myself in stone on it.

Here is Drogeney's largely finished submission. I don't have equipment done yet and I may still change out one of my Mythic Path abilities as I don't know if I want a legendary weapon or to get some mythic spells.

I also may take ecclisiathurge archetype for my cleric portions, haven't quite decided yet.

As a Knight of the Pink Beryl Indrana is associated with artistry, creativity, and healing while the pick hue connects it to her Mother's aspect of Love and one that is the most Important to Indrana. This makes her less of a fighter and more of a supporter/advisor but leaves her the strength to fight with the ferocity of a mother protecting her young if need be.

To be honest I think I am going to bow out of this one. I've not been able to get and stay that interested and dungeon crawls (which this basically has been so far) really aren't my thing.

Indrana was pleased at the effectiveness of her blow and only slightly disappointed when Greygar finished the creature off. She looked at Greygar's preening as she shrunk and felt the usual wave of exhaustion hit her and said, "That was a disappointing fight, it died to quickly." She had the but of her scythe on the ground and was leaning slightly on it as she worked on catching her breath.

Gonna try to get more into it now that we're moving regularly again. We'll see what happens.

Init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Indrana had been getting rather bored with the nigh endless trudging through the depths. Well alright, not endless but close enough sometimes. It seemed like it had been months instead of hours or days and it left her rather distracted. She was so distracted, in fact, that she felt the collar start to choke her as she had lagged too far behind.

Hurrying to catch up to Chandi and the rest Indrana arrived to see them fighting...a wall? She didn't understand what was happening here but she knew that it was something to fight and kill and that was enough for her. With a bellow of rage and hatred she grew to twice her size as she unlimbered her scythe and charged in to strike the thing that was reaching out and touching her companions.

Scythe w/ patk/demonic bulk/charge: 1d20 + 21 - 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 21 - 3 + 2 = 222d6 + 13 + 9 ⇒ (4, 2) + 13 + 9 = 28
I'll stop 10 feet from it to attack since I have reach when I'm large.

That's been a part of it for me too as I have far less time to post than I used to most days.

Sorry for my lack of posting. Had a very hard time keeping my interest up with this character. Don't know why really, she should be a lot of fun, just have troubles getting a post in.

The wannabe half-fiend's lust simply increased at the bite and she returned it, tasting of the dhampir's blood in return. She recognized the thump of the doorway slamming and knew they had to cut things short as she said, "We'll continue this later Atma." She made to open the door and followed Chandi through quickly so she wouldn't be choked to death for lagging behind.

If Atma continues to cling:
Before she opened the door to follow Chandi down she whispered into Atma's ear.

Atma:
"When we get out of this and free of the collars I'm going to have the blue b@$$+ in every way I can before consigning her soul to my patron. Would you care to join me when that time comes?"

At the dhampir's sudden leap Indrana had a snap decision to make, kill or not kill. She found the dhampir to be entertaining and maybe a kindred soul and so wrapped her arms around the smaller woman. She felt the smaller woman's arms wrap around her neck and she wrapped one arm around Atma's back while the other snaked down to grab her rear and squeeze. "The things I have done with them would shock you. they are truly kindred souls to us." She then attempted to press her lips very firmly against the dhampir's in a rather passionate kiss before whispering her ears all the delightfully wicked things she done with the "blueberries" before.

Indrana had remained quiet yet again letting the others banter. She had no interest in participating as all of these people were just food for her to devour later on, especially the blue b+#$*. The statue of a noble woman did catch her attention and nearly caused her to attack when it spoke.

When Chandi suggested that they move on the tiefling woman nodded and said, "Yes, let's go see the drow. At least they know how to have fun."

As normal since they entered this place Indrana was silent and wary. not to mention worn out after the fight with the lions, and so she simply watched for something she could or have fun with. She only half listened to the banter, particularly Eddin, who she was beginning to think might make a nice snack whose essence she could take, maybe she would share him with Atma. The vampiric woman could have his blood, Indrana could take his life force as she screwed him and both the woman could have themselves sated, all for the life of one obnoxious human. She glanced and Chandi then and reconsidered, it wasn't likely that their supervisor would allow it and so Indrana made it one more mental note of things to pay the blue woman back for once she was free of all of this.

The presence of the sarcophagi was troublesome, they'd already run into vampires down here and she wasn't sure what else they might find. She was relieved that, as always, she had her scythe ready. Geygar getting a spider down his back was somewhat entertaining and she nearly giggled at the sight of him, she managed to suppress her mirth. She heard Eddin begin telling what he thought was a humorous story and when he finished she said, "So that's what happened to her boyfriend. That girl was sobbing when he didn't come to save her when I forced myself on her and consigned her soul to the abyss, he must have still be looking for the punchline."

It's not a problem man, I'm glad thing are going well for you. I'm quite patient.

Sorry, I didn't realize that I was being waited on guys. FYI you used the wrong modifiers for my attacks, it's the ones in the spoiler box right now and had the scythe in my hands from before.

scythe: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (14) + 21 = 352d6 + 13 ⇒ (5, 4) + 13 = 221d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 352d6 + 13 ⇒ (4, 2) + 13 = 19

Indrana had stayed with the group, bored at the lack of things to fight or screw, and was close to doing something very stupid when the lions attacked.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
Init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

She realized what the appearance of the creatures meant and with a roar of bloodlust her body bulked up and she moved in to attack the nearest lion with a vicious swing of her scythe.
Activate bloodrage (free action) use demonic bulk so I'm now large size, move up, and attack with my scythe.

scythe w/ patk: 1d20 + 21 - 3 ⇒ (19) + 21 - 3 = 372d6 + 13 + 9 ⇒ (6, 2) + 13 + 9 = 30

If only I had a keen scythe!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Rules 184, if there is a skull door there is likely a big, or skull, key somewhere in the dungeon to unlock said skull door and no other method will suffice.

...Oh wait, there isn't a blonde elven princess captured by a dark force that makes us travel the entire continent to defeat him and still not earn the princess' hand at the end. Never mind.

Indrana had been very quiet for a while now, keeping her thoughts to herself and her eyes opened. Any thoughts of amusement at the banter or complaints her companions made were kept to herself. She wasn't the smartest or wisest person around, she knew that, she preferred brute force or seduction to deal with a problem, but she knew enough about when to keep her mouth shut that she was careful to do so for the time being and watch for trouble with her scythe at the ready.

After the fight was done Indrana began to use her scythe to decapitate the vampires quite effectively by simply throwing their bodies in the air and swing once for each. the sharp blade cut neatly through each of them with out a trace of resistance. She left the burning them to the others.

Chandi wrote:
I suggest you use me up...

While she had been listening to the discussion of healing and dividing things up that particular phrase caught her full and undivided attention. She turned to face Chandi and said, "If you want to be used up it would please me to no end to help you." She walked slowly towards Chandi with the seductive gate she sometimes adopted, [b]"You'll even enjoy it."

...DOH!...
re-rolled attack: 1d20 + 21 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 21 + 3 = 40

With a battle cry at the sudden combat Indrana quickly moved in to attack the same opponent as Mareth was engaged with. She ended up about 10 feet south of him and, in a fit of rage, slashed with her scythe at the vampire's neck.

Rage as I move down, power attack.
scythe: 1d50 + 21 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 21 - 3 = 242d4 + 3 + 12 + 9 ⇒ (3, 4) + 3 + 12 + 9 = 31

Sorry bout that Monkey, I was just of the assumption that we were all together.

The appearance of others down here wasn't entirely a surprise, though it was disappointing that they talked first. She would have preferred to go straight to the killing. As the things begin to become somewhat aggressive Indrana felt a great surge of excitement, she'd finally get to kill something and it would be glorious. She shifted her grip on her scythe and prepared to charge in for combat.

Init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

I'm not on the map Mr Monkey sir.

Indrana had been quite distracted over the last few days, it wasn't clear exactly why just that she was. She never talked about it or gave any indication something was off so it was hard to say for sure if she was bothered by something or not. She continued to enjoy the sometime company of Atma, the smaller woman was the one interesting part of the entire trip.

As they finally reached their destination and began to make their way down into the depths Indrana stayed more towards the back, guarding the rear as it were. She knew she was far more mobile than any of the rest of them and could more readily get through her companions to the front to assist. She said nothing and tried to remain vigilant, her great scythe in her hands just in case it was needed.

Chandi:
When Chandi tried to point out that infernal bargains always had an out Indrana nearly leaped at her in a bloody rage. For a moment it seemed she may have to kill the tiefling woman but after a few moment of choking Indrana calmed enough to glare furiously, "Never compare me to those hell spawn." her tone at the words hell spawn were so utterly vicious one might expect the world to burst into flames, "They might allow such but my path does not. The abyss doesn't accept giving someone an out, the first rights of ascensions permanently weigh the soul down. I will either regain the power stolen from me or my soul will fuel thousands of new demons on my death." If anything she seemed unbothered by the thought. Was she really that far gone, or did she truly believe that, an intriguing question.

Indrana thought over the shopping trip and what she might need, ultimately she needed only food and so said, "I only need more food, and when we start killing I'll need more still."

Indrana took to using Geygar for her pleasure that first night but afterwords seemed content to ignore pleasure all together for the next two weeks. She would give Atma a ride on her horse when no one else would seeming to enjoy the strange dhampir's company, in addition she let Atma have space in her tent to sleep in when the smaller woman needed it.

Over the time they all traveled together Indrana was mostly silent, keeping to herself, and it seemed that, when not trying to seduce someone she was not a very quick thinker and spoke little. Her one exception to this lack of interaction was sparring. She proved willing to spar with anyone, and could more than hold her own, though oddly it seemed she was holding back. Her skill with wielding her scythe was superb and she never scored on anyone after that first duel with Atma.

Looking to Chandi, Indrana laughed and said, "I'm already out of your vaunted cycle, my soul was consigned to the abyss when I die years ago."

She noticed Geygar's eyes on her as he spoke and brushed past Chandi to approach him. She leaned forward to grab his shirt and pull his face close to her's as she said, "So, you want to play..." she looked him up and down once and said, "You'll do."

Chandi:
"You don't know what you're missing Blue. One day you'll find out though, and it will be far less pleasurable for you. You'll remember this day then and wish you'd had me now when you're begging for the release of death."

Turning back to the gathered inmates Indrana gave them a challenging look and asked, "Who wants to satisfy their urge for carnal pleasure. I need to f@@*, who wants to enjoy me?" Her bosom heaved as she drew on finger down between her breasts, shuddering at her own touch.

Indrana was caught off guard by Atma's sudden withdrawal from the contest, even more so that the dhampir allowed herself to be injured. The surprise turned to frustration as Atma had gotten her all hot and bothered only to leave her unsatisfied. As Chandi approached Indrana slung her weapon back into it's carry position and leaned down slightly to hear what the blue woman said and responded just as quietly to her while shaking her head.

Chandi:
"No, I am unhurt, but I'm not fulfilled. She started foreplay and then left my desires unsatisfied. I've been locked up to long, I need to be pleasured." She raised an eyebrow as she asked, "Would you care to feel pleasure like none you've felt before?"

Indrana watched Atma with interest as she drank from Mythaniel, it was very interesting to say the least, and it aroused the tiefling quite a bit. When she saw Atma suddenly charge her with that dark scythe it nearly tipped her over into anger and wrath, only the fact it was telegraphed kept her from entering a state of murderous rage. Instead she deftly whipped her own scythe into her hands and parried Atma's strike before returning one of hero own in the same manner. As her own blade just missed disemboweling the dhampir she quickly followed with a second that would have lopped an arm off if she didn't let it be seen before hand. Instead she let her strength lock the two blades and start using her superior height and strength to force the dhampir back and down towards the ground.

Indrana mostly tried to ignore the stories as they rode, her eyes roving among the distance and her "comrades" both. When her passenger asked her favorite part it took the tiefling a moment to respond before she said, "That you recognize my smell is good, as for the story...I like the spirit woman, she knew what she was doing and that someone would open the box, she wanted the man and his wife to suffer." A few moments later Indrana leaned forward a bit and let one hand drift up to stroke Atma's stomach as she leaned down close to the small dhampir's ear before sitting back up straight.

Atma:
"Personally they all are delicious, in their own way." There was a gentle stroke of Atma's stomach and a brief nibble on her ear, "McGrowly looks like he has a lot of endurance, some of the others look like they would break to easily, especially Little Morsel. The Blue Lady would be fun to...enjoy, and you would be fun as well. Maybe we should share them? I imagine we want different things from them." She grinned and said, "As for Ash, I think he might know a few...interesting tricks. His kind seem to be quite trainable if you find the way to motivate them."

Fair enough, makes more sense now. Just mentally edit my last game play post to fit what really happened.

Sorry bout the choking issue, I wasn't very clear on the amount of time we were being choked by the collars and such. I have a high con so I can hold my breath long enough that some members would possibly choke to death before I necessarily passed out. You can assume that I did pass out if it's what you wanted to have happen.

Indrana managed to avoid passing out as the collar choked her, barely, and glared at Chandi with murder in her eyes. Despite the rage she felt coming upon her she held herself in check as she knew it wouldn't end well, at least not until the collar could be removed. As Eddin continued his antics she felt nothing but annoyance in the loud mouth fool singing his song but she decided that killing him wasn't going to go well for her either most likely right now so her sense of self-preservation kept her from ripping his fool heart out and feeding it to him before he died. It was then that she noticed Atma trying to get Chandi to let her ride with their minder and being ignored. While Indrana didn't really like anyone the smaller dhampir had at least earned her respect and so she rode closer and looked down at Atma before reaching down to offer her a hand and pull her up before the tiefling woman in the saddle.
