Female Human Rogue 6

I say,"Here, Nastrod, here's one of my shortswords you can put a Keen Edge on . . " as I hand it to him.
"Then let's figure this out and get 'er done! Time's a wasting!"

Female Human Rogue 6

I say to Flug,"Wait here and I'll go get the others."

I return the way I came and fill Nastrod and Celif in on the area I found and encourage them to follow me.
Then I go and rejoin Flug.

Female Human Rogue 6

I put on my Shadow Armor and move, using Fast Stealth, around to the front of the lodge searching for a good spot to fortify ourselves. I finally end up at I-15 and wait for the others to join me.

Female Human Rogue 6

"I can sneak around front and check for a sheltered area big enough for us to ready ourselves for our grand entrance if you want me to,"
I say to my companions.

Female Human Rogue 6

"I agree with Celif; we need to get to the bottom of this. But I also think Flug has a couple of good ideas; we need to get any information we can from their leader. I don't think we should release the animals. We might need them for our getaway. Since they seem to expect someone approaching from this path, perhaps we should sneak in the front entrance and surprise them and take them all out except for the leader. What do you all think?"

Female Human Rogue 6

"Hey! Don't anybody move! There is a trip line to a trap right in front of us! Let me see if I can disarm it," I say as I motion to the others to move back a bit. Then I carefully move forward to the trip line and attempt to disarm it. Perhaps . . .

Disable Device: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21

Female Human Rogue 6

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
Checking for traps: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Female Human Rogue 6

"Well that takes care of that. Nastrod, may I please have my rope back? I may need it again," I say holding my hand out. Then I say,"And now we check out the lodge?"

Female Human Rogue 6

Well, what do you all think? Shall we check out this lodge? And what shall we do with this one?

Female Human Rogue 6

"What is your name? And who is Rohkar? What do you all do? What are you doing out here in this blizzard? Where is your camp?"

Female Human Rogue 6

I stand nearby watching this encounter unfold, almost feeling sorry for this warrior, and thinking if I didn't know these people I would run away in complete terror!

I reach in my backpack and pull out my rope and walk over to the paralyzed warrior. Once there I take the rope and very securely bind the warrior's hands and feet with it. Then I take the extra rope and tie it loosely around his neck and knot it securely so he won't get short of breath, leaving a length to use as a lead.

Female Human Rogue 6

I quietly move to P-9 and fire a crossbow bolt at Warrior C.

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Female Human Rogue 6

I again aim at A and fire another bolt.

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Female Human Rogue 6

I take out my Masterwork Light Crossbow and aim at A and fire a bolt.

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Female Human Rogue 6

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Female Human Rogue 6

I join Celif in offering the prayer over Mr. Dansby's body. I gather his belongings to return to his son later. I re-cover his body with snow until such time as we can come back and give him a proper burial.

Moving on . . .

Stealth check: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

Female Human Rogue 6

"There don't seem to be any traps on or near the body. I think we should try and dig the rest of the body out of the snow so we can see who it was, and if there is anything else we can determine,"
I say as I start moving the snow off of the body.

Female Human Rogue 6

"Here, let me check it out,' I say as I carefully advance toward the limbs and pile of snow.

Trap finding: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24

Female Human Rogue 6

"Hey, Nastrod! Let me toss this rope out to you and we can just pull you over here, and then we can help you get up!

I get the rope out of my backpack and twirl it around my head and throw it out to Nastrod.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Female Human Rogue 6

Acrobatics check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33

I get to the far side without major problems and get up on the solid ground.

Female Human Rogue 6

"I suggest we go on south and cross the stream on the other side of those bushes (O to J). What do you all think?

Female Human Rogue 6

I chuckle at Nastrod's cold joke. Then I say to my companions, "Yep! The snowman is trapped. I suggest we go WAY around him to avoid setting it off."

Female Human Rogue 6

"Thanks everyone for helping me, getting the fire going and rubbing my cold arms. I feel much better now. Definitely we should continue on."

After looking at the snowman and listening to the conversation I say, "I don't think we could be considered trespassers out here in the wilderness. I wonder who built this snowman? Strange place for one. Let me check him out." I check the snowman and the area around him for traps.

Trap finding: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27

Female Human Rogue 6

Happy New Year!

Shivering uncontrollably I slowly head over under the nearest tree and dig down through the snow in search of branches to use to build a fire to get me warmed up!

Female Human Rogue 6

"Fascinating . . ." I say as we watch the stag leave.

Fortitude: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Ah-ya-ya-ya!!!

Female Human Rogue 6

"That is exactly what we have been and are still doing. Thank you so much for your help and wealth of information.", I say and turn around and head back to the rest of the group.

Female Human Rogue 6

Well, hello, Sir! We are looking for a Countess and her entourage that disappeared on their way through this forest, and for a farmer that went looking for a talking white stag that his son saw in this forest and then never came back. Would you know anything about these people and what happened to them? Where we could find them and return them to where they came from?

Female Human Rogue 6

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25

Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Female Human Rogue 6

I stand my ground and again arm my MW Light Crossbow and take aim at another of these creatures.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Female Human Rogue 6

"And I don't think they are friendly . . . "

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

I arm my MW Light Crossbow and take arm at one of the creatures . . .

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Female Human Rogue 6

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

"I don't think they're fairies . . ."

Female Human Rogue 6

I say to Flug,"Fantastic hit! Well done!"

I trudge through the snow to where the creature collapsed and start digging down to him to get a closer look, and retrieve my bolt if possible. Might also check to see if he has any loot!

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

Female Human Rogue 6

Hoping to help Nastrod, I move to F-8 and launch a bolt at the creature with my MW Light Crossbow.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Female Human Rogue 6

I start slogging through the snow to the trail of footprints and follow them into the gully, waiting to attack until I have a better view of the creature, ending up at F-7. I take my crossbow and arm it. I try to see if I can figure out what this dragon-like creature is.

Knlg. Nature: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Nope!

Female Human Rogue 6

Well now we know the creature behind the red eyes . . I think to myself as I watch this scene unfold.

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Female Human Rogue 6

"Celif, do you know of any creatures with red eyes?'

"Flug, could you check your Divination Ball and see if you can tell what the immediate future holds?"

Do you all want me to try and sneak down there and do him in, or shall we attack him from here? Any ideas?"

Female Human Rogue 6

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30

Female Human Rogue 6

To Celif I say,"Want to split the bolts? I'll take 12 and you can have the rest. We can leave the rest of this unless anyone else wants any of it until we come back after defeating these scoundrels."

Female Human Rogue 6

GM: Yes, of course I took the jewel box!

Celif: FYI, by my calculations I am only down 1.

I say,"Yes, Celif. Of course I am going to open this chest. Carefully of course."

Checking chest for traps: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16

If trapped and/or locked, Disable Device: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29

Then I will open the chest and reveal all the treasures!

Female Human Rogue 6

Turning to Celif, I say,"Thanks for the healing! I needed that."

Then I walk over to the zombies' corpses and thoroughly search both of them for loot. I return to the carriage and step up into it and thoroughly search it as well for loot.

Perception for the corpses: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Perception for the carriage: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18

Female Human Rogue 6

Hey, Gezzo!!! What happened to you? We could use your expertise and help!!! Come back and join in our adventures!

Female Human Rogue 6

Vastly irritated by this despicable Zombie B, I whip out my +1 Undead Bane Light Mace, and raising it high over my head I smash it down on his head!

Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30

Damage: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 6, 1) + 3 = 14

Female Human Rogue 6

"Aye-yae-yae-yae-yae-yae!!!'

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Female Human Rogue 6

Making a mental note to return and retrieve the MW longsword later,
I go back to the upright carriage. Wondering why the doors are held closed, I attempt to remove the spear from between the handles, and then open those doors.

Checking for Traps: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

Disable Device: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27

Female Human Rogue 6

Glad I put on my cold weather gear over my armor before we left the village. It is cold out here!

After surveying the horrible scene, I check all the bodies and wagons and boxes/trunks for useful loot. Then I go to stand near the Ice Statue.

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

Knowledge Local: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Female Human Rogue 6

"Perhaps it means we should not further delay in starting our search for Ulrik's father; that we have enough information to proceed. Let's be on our way to the rangers.'

Female Human Rogue 6

"Thank you, Ulrik, for that information. That will be helpful."

To the rest of our group I say, "I think Ulrik has a good idea about asking the High Sentinels rangers to help us with our search for his dad, and for Lady Argentea who was taken hostage.'

To Celif I say, "Could the white deer be an illusion of some sort?'

Female Human Rogue 6

"Ulrik, what color were the white deer's eyes? And do you know who ripped up and stole the rest of the crops that weren't frozen? Can you show us were your dad went into the woods? Are there any other details you can remember that might help us?"

Female Human Rogue 6

"I am Imowen, and my fellow travelers and I have been sent by the village council to figure out what is causing the snow and ice and try to get rid of it. Who are you?"

Female Human Rogue 6

Thanks, Celif! I would like to start with 6 and if I need more later get another 4 then. Hopefully we won't need that many!
