Hello DM, sorry to jump back in but could you retire Illirio from the campaign roster? Thanks!

Hi everyone, to my regret I'll not be joining the next game. Real life is killing me and I'm having trouble meeting my PbP obligations. Thank you for a great first session though!

Illirio also freezes, and upon seeing Hadid and Timmon's reactions, relaxes marginally.

"Please excuse our intrusion, kind and noble stranger. We have come a long distance today, and are weary and wounded. Thank you for your gracious welcome, and know that we are Pathfinders, one and all."

Illirio then gives a deep bow to nothing in particular.

Illirio remains frozen!

*sigh* And I just rolled a 2 then a 1. The yeti fight continues as normal, it seems.

Illirio croaks and rises to his feet. Averting his eyes, he raises his trust crossbow, he fires off a shot!

Backpedaling furiously, Illirio reloads his crossbow, fumbling the bolt in, drawing back the iron cord, sweating and wishing he were more of an arcane master so that he could unleash some manner of hellfire upon this beast.

Instead he lifts the crossbow and fires!

Illirio takes a five foot step back and draws his crossbow in slow motion, a distorted yell emerging from his mouth as he loads it and fires in one gloriously smooth move!

Aw rats.

Illirio lets out a cry of anger as Pillango falls, and throws himself through his group of companions, elbowing them liberally and shoving without heed to get to the front, where with a furious cry he touches his thumbs together, spreads out his fingers, and yells, "Yeti flangrante!"

Illirio mutters as his friends crowd around the yeti, making it nearly impossible for him to hit with his bow. Digging out a dab of butter, he smears it between his fingers and calls out an incantation.

"Oelum impactum!"

Casting Grease, ten foot square under the yeti and eagle (who should be unaffected), DC 14 Reflex save please!

If Illirio is able to withstand it's stare, he fires off his bolt!

Illirio darts around the bell, moving into position.

Illirio waits behind with Bellina, his crossbow loaded, eyes narrowed as he watches.

Illirio blows out his cheeks and nods to Hadid.

"Let's scout around a little first before ringing the bell."

Illirio dusts his hands off and grins at the group. "Now that's the way to surmount apparently insurmountable obstacles!"

Illirio examines the cave, and then pulls out a number of items which he shows the others; a pair of boots, a jade brooch, and a leather-worn journal.

Cast Detect Magic on the items.
Spellcraft to identify anything that comes up: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Linguistics on Journal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 So close!

Seeing what Illirio might determine.

Before they depart, Illirio steps up to the dejected kobold and offers him a handful of spiced jerky. Crouching down so that they are eye level, he warily speaks to it.

"Brave warrior, why are your people so angry? What did that previous human explorer do to upset the kobold tribes so much, and send you after our people to kill and enslave them? Does it have to do with the winged guardian of this valley? Or the golden orb?"

Illirio pauses, considers, then fires off a warning bolt. "Hit it when it ducks!"

Illirio moves to sit down on a chunk of rock and opens his pack, drawing forth some jerky which he chews slowly as he watches the fight continue. He also casts a weather eye around the make sure no surprises are coming their way.

Illirio unloads his crossbow and hurries up as well. "What happened? Magic?"

Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Flight cancelled, leaving this weekend.

Illirio peers into the melee, and then shoots off a hopeful shot.

Illirio digs out a wedge of butter from his pack, and smears it between his fingers as he points with his other hand and yells, "Greasum!"

Illirio draws a bead on the yellow kobold, and fires again.

Illirio loads and fires his crossbow at the orange kobold before him.

Illirio moves down along the wall, and when he finds an opening he takes a pot shot at the red goblin.

Illirio casts Silent Image to make smoke and flames curl impressively around D'lack, as well as unfurl a pair of impressive draconic wings.

Holding his crossbow at the ready, he stands guard.

Illirio fires off a crossbow bolt, arcing it high so that it will hit an apex and then drop like a stone onto the krenshar's head.

Illirio steps in close to one of the shrines, wiping away dirt and dust from one lintel before examining another and frowning. Turning back to the group, he shakes his head.

"Hadid's right. These are - or were - important. They were meant to guard against dangerous and malicious spirits. In their state of abandonment, however, they most likely are no longer able to serve their function. Be on guard. Who knows what may stalk these high passes now."

That said, Illirio readies himself and continues along the path.

Illirio is going to wait till there are less people on the bridge before trying to cross.

"Hmm," says Illirio. "Maybe we can just try spooking it away."

He casts dancing lights and sends four torches floating over the bridge toward where the krenshar is hiding to dance around its heads.

Range is 110 ft.

Illirio waits beside the others, eyeing the big cat as well.

"Do you know where they are? What happened? How did you get here?"

Illirio rapidloads and fires from the hip, spinning on his heel as he tracks the leaf across the sky.

At his next opportunity, Illirio fires roughly down and off to the left by accident.

Illirio sighs and rather mechanically fires off a crossbow bolt at the closest bush.

"Join the Pathfinders. Travel the world. Meet fascinating flowers, and destroy them."
