I feel silly asking this (no, really) but I just want to make sure I'm not crazy - adding Tensile Reinforcement to the android armor upgrade slot doesn't do anything right?

With rules as written it seems I could make the case that if you did slot Tensile Reinforcement that your android would get the benefits which include calculating hit points as if you were 5 levels higher. But that can't possibly be what was intended.

Good evening, I'm looking for two players for Skulls and Shackles.

We're currently on the last part of Book 2 and moving in to Book 3.

Right now my 3 players are a druid, a ranger and an oracle, you can find the game here.

You'd be creating a level 6 character and be joining up with the crew in town before they go out to find Isabelle Locke (I've tinkered with the AP timeline a bit).

Character creation rules are:

-Core races and familiar races below 12 RP except orcs, goblins and kobolds.
-WBL for level 6.
-20 point stat buy.
-No summoners or gunslingers.
-No third-party builds/feats.
-Three traits, one from the Player's guide.
-No evil characters (I'm the only one who gets to be evil).

Creating the Discussion Thread.

This is a closed game with an Adventure Path to be determined.

For those invited, please use the thread to hash out what roles you would like to play.

Because I'm a masochist I think we'll be doing the Kingmaker AP with me as the GM. You can find the player's guide here which will give you some hints about character types, traits and other ideas to get you started with making your characters.

Character creation rules are:

-Core races and familiar races below 12 RP except orcs, goblins and kobolds.
-Max starting gold.
-20 point stat buy.
-No summoners or gunslingers.
-No third-party builds/feats.
-Three traits, one from the Player's guide.
-No evil characters (I'm the only one who gets to be evil).

If you have a question please ask!

Here's the starter thread for you all to "dot".

The discussion thread!

The Formidably Maid is a honest looking tavern in a dishonest town, with rough hewn tables and benches and lamps that burn brightly as the wicks pull against whale oil up from their wells.

You can hear the songs sung by half-drunken sailors out through the doors as you approach, and the smell of rum, ale and fish stew wafts to your nose.

Map

Sorry I didn't put this up earlier with the Gameplay thread - bad DM!

As a side note - I have a few different DM aliases I'm using so I might accidentally post as them on the thread. If you see DMummy or DM Davy Jones, that's me screwing up not a guest DM.

Map

You've finally reached the very hart of the ancient seat of the Runelord of Greed, the Pinnacle of Avarice.

A massive ice-shrouded tower of white granite that soars 2,200 feet in the air, ending just below the carved face at the mountain's peak.

The inside of the immense structure soars like a cavernous silo, supported by an intricate architectural wonder of flying buttresses and arches. Hundreds of 50-foot-tall arches around the structure's base allow access to its ground floor, which is a huge circular room that encompasses a 200 foot diameter polished stone circle surrounded by 16 immense pillars that rise up like the legs of a spider to support the central column that extends up to another floor more than 2,000 feet above.

A spiraling ramp wraps around the outer circumference of the lower 16 pillars up to the central column, continuing up its length and giving the central column the appearance of an immense screw.

The seemingly infinite stone ramp finally comes to an end here. A massive pair of golden double doors stands to the north, while a smaller golden door to the west allows an alternative route onward. Intricate carvings on the walls evoke images of Xin-Shalast in its heyday, accented with vibrant paint and inlaid gems here and there. The highly polished floor consists of a checkerboard pattern of gold and black tiles, while the entire place is brilliantly lit by what appear to be dozens of bejeweled everburning torches in equally decadent sconces.

Finally you see a collection of tall, silent giants standing near the doors that appear indifferent to your approach. They all bear the mark of the Sihedron as a brand on their foreheads.

Map

Since we're going into this cold please place yourself on the map for where you want to be - after that it's up to you all to make the first move.

This is a closed Recruitment thread for Rise of The Runelords: Part 6 - The Spires of Xin-Shalast.

Ahoy!

I'm putting together a game here on the Paizo boards that's a way to salvage a RL table that never happened - I have three folks who want to play Skulls & Shackles and am looking for two more players to start at the beginning and go the whole distance of the AP.

The other three players have rolled up their characters: a wizard, a slayer and a brawler which might help you figure out if you want to play.

I'm hoping to get started no later than the beginning of next month, so submission cutoff will be 2/26/2015 and decisions will go out no later than 2/28/2015.

Edit - I should note I'm hoping to have people post at least once a day to keep the game moving at a good clip.

The bustling desert city of Wati is near bursting with excitement. Adventurers from every corner of the Inner Sea region have assembled here beneath the hot Osirian sun to explore the tombs of the city’s necropolis, waiting only to be assigned their first sites for exploration. Surrounding the participants, the public has gathered to observe the ceremony as well. There is a festival-like quality in the air, and numerous street vendors are hawking goods and refreshments to participants and spectators alike. Some merchants have even brought what can only be considered adventuring gear to sell as last minute convenience items to explorers, while others advertise that they’ll buy recovered treasures and antiquities from those who visit their establishments.

In front of the imposing edifice of the Grand Mausoleum, an immense awning has been erected between decorated pillars in the market to provide shade for the priests of Pharasma overseeing the lottery. Beneath the awning, two urns sit atop a table elevated a few feet above the ground on a wooden stage constructed for the event. The high priestess of the Grand Mausoleum, Sebti the Crocodile, sits behind the table, while two acolytes confer with her at either side.

Numerous groups of adventurers stand around waiting for the sites they’re assigned by the Pharasman church.

I wanted to give you guys a chance to mingle before we start the adventure instead of simply "dotting" the gameplay thread.

Sorry for all the players looking for a game, this one is a closed invitation game.

Current players - moafnsteel, Vuvu, baldwinthemerciful, Merck
Possible player - Bill Lumberg

So as previously stated you guys should work together because you're forming an adventuring group participating in a lottery for tomb/dungeon raid spots in Wati.

Rules for character creation:

-Core races (if it's been your dream to play an uncommon race from the ARG come up with a pretty awesome backstory).
-Max starting gold.
-20 point stat buy.
-No summoners or gunslinger.
-No third-party builds/feats.
-Two traits, one from the Player's guide.
-No evil characters (I'm the only one who gets to be evil).

Again, mostly my worry is no cheese, but if you've always been dying to play a particular character let me know. The more backstory and roleplaying you do at the start the better your chances of creating something cheesy - a Velveeta-y character if you will.
