Hemdar nods sadly to Lucius. "Which means that the true perpetrator of all this is still at large. I'll try to study the runes further, since they seem like they'd be nature magic, but I don't speak Aklo, so I'm not sure how much more I could figure out about it."
Hemdar stares at the ground.
"Right. Let's get back to Zea."

Hemdar blasts the nearest faerie with cold as it rises into the air, freezing its wings and sending it back to the ground. He then speaks a word to Lucius, granting him a sliver of insight into the nature of the faeries.

Seeing the consensus in the group to go after the tooth fairies, Hemdar relays what he knows of them to the rest of the group. 'They're small, stealthy, and unpredictable so we'll have to be vigilant, and prepared for ambushes. Their pliers can cause paralysis, so we'll need to be ready to ciover each other in case one or more of get paralyzed. They also have some fey magic at their disposal, though I'm not sure what exactly they can do with it."

Getting more funds for the rebellion sounds good, I think we have plenty of information to follow up on for the moment.

"Well, the good news is that the fluttering you heard probably wasn't an imp. The bad news is that it was a tooth fairy, or several. I know that sounds innocuous, but..." Hemdar indicates the man's toothless mouth and the tiny bite marks. "They're not exactly friendly. They're very small, so keep your eyes peeled."

Hemdar thanks Laria and Rexus for the breakfast, then goes off to regain his magic. As sits down to meditate, Tictic tugs on his arm to gain his attention. As he looks down, Tictic flexes leafy wing-like appendages that protrude from their back. After showing them off for a while, Tictic uses them to take to the air, flying up to the roof of a nearby building. They land somewhat clumsily, though, and scare off a flock of nearby birds.
Changing around Tictic's familiar abilities from burrower to flier, granting them a 25 ft fly speed.
"I don't have any particular leads we should look in to. However, we can't be the only people with rebellion on our minds after all that the Thrunes have done. I think our top priority should be to find those people. We may have to say, as Jilvi put it, 'Greetings strangers, I've been watching you, wanna join a rebellion?'"

Holidays have gone pretty well for me, managed to avoid getting into arguments with certain relatives, and my home group is finally getting around to trying out starfinder this weekend, which should be fun. :)

Hemdar shifts his gaze from the tengus to look at Lucius. "Even if these were ordinary times, it's hardly reasonable to expect them to carry out a sentence on their own family."
He looks back at the tengus. "I'm Hemdar." Tictic, having stayed hidden for most of the time in the bunker, peeks out from Hemdar's pocket, trying to see the new people. "And this is Tictic. We met Nan through a... mutual acquaintance."

Hemdar silently looks down at the floor, trying to guess if there was something he could have done to prevent this death. He understood that self-defense was necessary, and there was probably nothing to be done, but...
Hemdar snaps up from his thoughts as the group readies to move on, now looking intently ahead. This is still a dangerous place. I can think about this later, if I make it out, but I still need to pay attention.

Hearing the bird's fearful cries and speech, Hemdar hesitates for a moment, and tries to talk to her.
"We're not here to kill you, or your sisters. We can just talk, and no one has to die."

Kind of undercut by the rest of the party so I don't imagine diplomacy will work, but I figured it was worth a try. And if it doesn't, you guys seem more than capable of dishing out lots of damage. :)

"The big one is albino. That's not something that can happen to a creature just by drinking some water. It was like that from birth, and I'm guessing the same goes for it being abnormally large. Although it would have to have some food source to grow that big and not starve."

He considers using his newly learned magic to transform into a rat and scout ahead, but decides he'd rather not go on ahead in this place alone. He also considers that his new friends likely wouldn't react positively to him doing that, so he decides not to bring it up.

Hemdar waits for Laria to finish answering Emarel's questions, listening intently, before asking his own. You mentioned it was called the wasps' nest. Are wasps or some other kind of insect or vermin common down there? Also, do you have any guesses as to who might know about this place and might hole up there?"

Hemdar looks over the scrolls Enara has found and picks one up."I don't know about the others, but this one is not fire related. It's used to obscure tracks, which could be even more useful. If you're interested, I'd be willing to teach you, though I suspect you'd be more interested in wizardry than meditating in the wilderness for hours."
Hemdar nods at Lucius's suggestion, clearly eager to get out of the building.
I'll take the pass without trace scroll, since I think I'm the only one who can cast it.

Took Order Explorer into the wild order to get Wild Shape & hopefully get more use out of my focus casting.
My skill feat is Battle Medicine since its always good to have more healing opportunities. :)

Hemdar ignores the attempts at humor of his companions and tries to focus on killing the disgusting creatures as fast as possible. He moves to a better position while casting his frost spell, completing the incantation with an outstretched finger at one of the lemures. The freezing spell flies forth and strikes its target dead in the center of its body.

"They're minor devils! They'll resist any weapon that's not silver, and completely ignore fire. If you have any holy magic, use it now."
He then hurls a bolt of ice at the closest of the disgusting creatures.

He then helps to look for anything left behind by the Silver Ravens.
Will take the search action as well if it helps, though it looks like anything left to be found in the room has been. :)

Fine with me. Apologies for my lack of post yesterday, my computer seems to have something wrong with its battery and now it can't charge. I should otherwise be able to get a post off every day, and combats can really slow forum games down, so I think that's a good measure to take.
Plus I'm definitely not going to argue with getting a crit while botted. :)

Despite the heat of combat, Hemdar eagerly supplies a likely unwanted answer to Rexus's question. "When rats live underground, they have no predators to hide from."
He pauses mid-explanation to blast a nearby rat with ice and maintain his warding spell.

"Since they don't need to be small to hide, they grow larger with each generation. It seems fast to us because we live so much longer."

Hearing Lucius's call, Hemdar scrambles down the ladder. Once at the bottom he hastily speaks an incantation to summon a shield of magical force.

Assuming we send Lucius first since he's our big shiny paladin, Hemdar casts light on his shield.
Hemdar speaks a few words in sylvan and twists his fingers together, then opens them to reveal a bright light as it blazes to life in the center of his palm. He then moves to Lucius and presses the light into his shield until the shield glows with its own internal radiance.

Meant to post yesterday, but got kinda overwhelmed with school stuff, sorry. :/
Hemdar relays what he knows about grimples to the group. "Grimples are a kind of malicious minor nature spirit. They can use a few minor magics, usually just to steal or play tricks, they'd probably defend themselves using natural weapons. I saw some of their tracks leading into the rafters or into tunnels into the ground, so keep an eye out."
As the walls begin to bleed and the tools dance in the air, Hemdar just shakes his head.
"I can use a spell to clean up the blood if you really want, but try to ignore it. We'll see more of the grimple's tricks if we go through that trapdoor, and I'm guessing we'll have to to find what we're looking for."

Hemdar looks down at his leg to inspect the wound and grimaces, both at the wound and the smell in the building."The wound itself is pretty minor, but that it's probably infected is more of a concern, but at least not an immediate one. If there's other creatures here, that's a more immediate problem."
He moves to help search the area, trying to find anything the others may have missed.
Assuming it's a nature check to recall knowledge about grimples, since they're fey, so I'd like to make one of those.

Hemdar winces as the dog's teeth graze his leg, turned partially aside by Lucius. Recalling a spell he saw used by the church of Asmodeus, he focuses his magic into a floating shield of force. He then fires another freezing blast at one of the remaining rabid dogs.

Hemdar is saddened at being forced to fight animals, having lived peacefully with them in the past. He recognizes the signs of rabies, however, and resolves to kill this one quickly so it does not suffer needlessly. He blasts the dog with cold, but it is much to fast and the magic only succeeds in chilling a small patch of the ground. He then speaks another incantation, granting Lucius a sliver of supernatural aid.

Hemdar nods in thanks to Jilvi, then a look of thought crosses his face. He looks to Tictic, who has returned to their perch on Hemdar's shoulder once the dottari pass by, having hid behind it when they appeared.
"Do you think you could make some wings and fly up to see if any more of those people in metal are coming?"
In response, small leaves emerge from the leshy's back and Tictic eagerly leaps into the air. The wing-like leaves prove insufficient for flight, however, and Hemdar is forced to catch the leshy before they fall to the ground.
"Right. Sorry. I think it'll take some time and energy before you can use new growths."
In the future, I should be able to have Tictic take the flier familiar ability and have them scout things out. Really like the system for changing around familiar abilities, it's cool. :)
