If I understand the Reaction rules right, Lucius tried to whack 6 before I get to go, standing there fully armed and armored next to me, right? Can I delay in PF2 to see what happens on his turn, or do I need to act before him, regardless?
I'm good either way, honestly, just trying to learn.
GM Down with Thrune!
@Tilorean: Yeah, I probably should have handled that between rounds/on the thugs' turns. I forgot that our friend there has ranged reprisal. You could delay, though the current board state is that #5 is injured and #6 is downed if that is the info you need. I'll do a summary/clean up tokens when I get up tomorrow.

I appear to have misread Lucius's post. #5 is downed, #6 has taken 5 damage thus far. Also, Jilvinirri, whip only has a 10ft reach. Since Enara killed her target before you moved up do you want me to move you up to redirect your attack to #1 or #2?
Enara Etcheberry
Oh wow, I wasn't sure if that guy counted as flat-footed for sneak attack.
GM Down with Thrune!

Because they are blinded you are hidden from them, so that makes them flat-footed. Mind you, blinded doesn't specifically say that it makes you hidden but since sight is the dottari's only precise sense it seems to me that you would be hidden.
Edit: After some more reading, I think you would actually be undetected altogether until they spend a seek action to know what square you're in. Then you would be hidden from them.
Enara Etcheberry
Whoops, I overlooked that part. It makes sense, but I guess I didn't look particularly thoroughly. Thanks!

I forgot that our friend there has ranged reprisal.
Champions (or Paladins) are definitely a mind shift in 2e; so many of their powers are reacting on things done, it'll take some getting used too.
New rules, new things to learn!
GM Down with Thrune!
@Lucius: For this round both Enara and Hemdar are just out of reach for your ranged reprisal, but I did make sure to check! Gonna try and make sure to check all of your reactions. Definitely one of those things that is harder via PbP than face to face.

Just as a note everyone, I got a question about when we will be doing hero point resets. Normally that would happen at the start of a session but we don't exactly have that. As you can see in my status line, I will be keeping what part of the book that we are in there. When we make it into a new part of each book I will do a hero point reset. If a part is especially long I may do one half-way through.
However, given that I want to do what is most fun for everyone, we could also choose to do hero point resets on the first of every month. Please give me your thoughts, I myself don't really have a preference either way.
Jilvinirri.
I vote for first of each month, because that's something we can track ourselves independently of in-game events (which may not always be clear regarding when a new section is starting).
If we're doing something that takes a while and you don't think it's appropriate to have a new HP on some months I'm fine with that as well.
Enara Etcheberry
+1 on once a month.
Enara Etcheberry
GM, just wanting to check: are the OOC text summaries I'm putting in helpful or do you feel like they're cluttering the post up? I want to make sure I'm actually being helpful and not just thinking I am.
GM Down with Thrune!

@Enara: Its definitely helpful, so thank you! When I go to review the round it saves me the trouble of looking through the version history to see if you triggered any reactions etc. I wouldn't worry about clutter, I'm generally of the opinion that the more information everyone has the easier it is to make sure we're all on the same page.

That's alright, I'm going to be rather busy with family business myself this weekend. I might start up the next thing so that people can have some room to roleplay, but I will likely not be advancing the plot until Monday. Thank you all so much for what we've got here so far, you're all making my first time GMing online an absolute delight.

I have made some updates to the slides for Maps and Info. The last slide is the results of the RPG consent checklist thus far. By my count I only have 4/6 replies, so if you haven't filled it out yet please do when you have the chance. I know the formatting isn't stellar, I just figure its best to make sure everyone is on the same page sooner than later.

I'm one of the laggards! I'm off now, but I'll update the form when I have access again.
Great game!
Emarel Aelavir
Hey guys, sorry for taking a while to post, I had a sudden really busy weekend and didn't get the time to post until now.
So far though, I've loved my first online game. Thanks guys!
Tilorean Vashnarstill
Yeah, as happens frequently with a new game for me, I feel like I'm falling way behind on posting, since I need to wait until evening, and then work around my wife's schedule, to post.
<shrug>
Weekends are frequently filled with BSA activities. I am an ASM in a troop, I frequently run the archery range when they want it open, I work with the OA, and I'm an ADC. If the acronyms mean nothing to you, the multiple item list says it well enough. If the acronyms have meaning to you, then so should this one: YIS.

Note, I'm not saying there isn't a reason for the requested restriction, but:
Law Enforcement Aggression okay if off-stage.
Technically, we're the criminals! Them chasing us and trying to stop us is going to be a huge part of the story, I expect. I will be interested to see how our GM manages to maintain that restriction while the legal authorities are trying to end our illegal activities.

Hey everyone, just want to let you know that I will be traveling from October 19 through the 26th. That's a ways off but I wanted to give a good amount of notice.
GM Down with Thrune!
Sorry for all the big posts, all. I want to try and get all of this out to you before the weekend starts since I usually don't have time to post.
@Emaril: Regarding recovering ammunition I've had zero luck finding any rules. We'll just use the rules from 1st ed (in a more 2e way) on this one until someone finds it or it gets clarified:
Recovering Ammunition
On a hit ammunition is always destroyed. On a miss, roll a DC 11 flat check to see if the arrow is recoverable.
As for magic ammunition, it is stated that the charge is lost as soon as the ammunition is fired. So if you recover a miss from magical ammunition it will be mundane.
@Enara: Alrighty, thanks for the heads up. Would you rather I bot you or have Enara go to a safe place to handle some business during that time? Thankfully I've been writing my conversion using the scaling encounter rules, so either way you pick won't hinder the party too badly.
@Tilorean: Regarding the law enforcement aggression thing (and any of you can air your feelings on this here or in a PM if you like) I take the offscreen bit as me not going into detail about the dottari brutalizing helpless civilians. I really can't avoid the aggression towards the party, of course, but are they really law enforcement if you don't acknowledge their authority? :p

I added a super cool interactive map of Kintargo. I will probably update it with the party's knowledge of the city on Monday, but somebody shared it on Reddit and I really like it.

I'm fine with being botted. I put some botting instructions at the bottom of my profile.

As a person whose actual job is living and breathing politics, I really appreciate that Lucius just cannot "turn it off," so to speak. :)
GM Down with Thrune!
If there is anything anyone wants to say or do between sleeping and leaving for the livery, go ahead and throw that in there. I'll move things along later today.
I feel that inability to turn politics off. I'm probably insufferable in person ._.

Huzzah! The monster creation rules are finally live. I will be adjusting all previously fought and future enemies accordingly. If the numbers from last time you fought dottari and stuff don't match up in the future, promise I'm not trying to cheat you :p

Was half-expecting Emarel to have comprehend languages written in his spellbook with a statement like that... :D

I'm going to delay moving things forward until probably mid day tomorrow. I've got a wedding to go to in the morning and I figure it will give people more time to chime in if they feel like it.

Hey all, someone brought up some minor character changes they wanted to do last night and it reminded me about some things I wanted to make available. Up until we hit level 2, and while you are in the process of leveling up to 2, feel free to make any changes that you feel you would like to make, especially anything related to having previously not understood the game rules. If you do make any changes, please just send me a private message so that I am aware of it. Please just don't make any such changes mid-combat, that could be problematic.
If you don't make those changes now, you can still make them after level 2, but we will use the retraining rules as described in the Core Rulebook. Thankfully this campaign involves some patches of Downtime Mode stuff, so it should be feasible outside of major segments.
GM Down with Thrune!
I have the little doggos marked L1-L4, #3 is directly south of Rexus. If you're having other visibility issues definitely let me know, part of it could be because I couldn't find a text color that overlaid the dog image well.
Enara Etcheberry
Checking again, it looks like I thought it was labeled as #6 for some reason. My bad.
The KGB
Hemdar no longer has taken 4 damage because I keep forgetting about reactions. Sorry!
Actually, to be fair, Hemdar would still take the damage. Retributive Strike triggers only when an ally takes damage, which is why I couldn't opt this round to strike at the dog on Enara for example.
It might be best to just let me do the rolling; in the event that multiple allies get hit nearby, Lucius would have to chose one target to aid since a player typically only gets one reaction per round.
Enara Etcheberry
I think it would be reduced to 1 damage for Hemdar, though, since it gives resistance against the triggering damage.
