Female Human-Cyborg
Alright... Just the "Mirror and Lens storage and Refining", as well as the "Beam Emitter". Mal? Tavin? Either of you care to try your hands? Just at a glance, Tavin might have more luck with the former while Mal could take a crack at the latter with his raw PER. Those are only suggestions, though.
Female Human-Cyborg
Christ. You need to keep rolling exploding dice, those keep going until they're no longer a six.
Female Human-Cyborg
She felt excessively uncomfortable here. Keeping herself fully covered had the benefit of not attracting the wrong kind of attention, and this certainly qualified. However. He had just set her down right in font of this thing, and it was clear that he had a few other things on his mind then exactly what she was doing. While she may not've understood exactly what all this meant, the information he'd given her was enough to make some guesses. With those, she might just be able to misrepresent the data in a way people looking at it won't notice. "Oh, I think I'm starting to get it. So if I were to go back and look at wave matrix and cross-point it with this datapoint here.." She starts to ramble, shifting herself just enough to flash a bit more skin. Using whatever she had on hand was something any good slicer learnt. Under the guise of being an interest and curious young female colleague, Honey's fingers made light work. If she did this well enough, nobody would even notice the changes as the rippled through the database. Computer Programing: 5d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 2, 6) + (6) = 28
30 total. When she's in her element, Magic happens.
Female Human-Cyborg
Knowledge: 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4) + (3) = 12 Honey frowns, but still takes the time to examine the screen. It's honestly frustrating that she can't figure it out on her own. Yet then again, it's not like she was a physicist. Probably "It seems to be a bit beyond me, can you explain what this section over here means?"
Female Human-Cyborg
She attempts to muster something of a smile, "Clever." Bluff: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 5) + (4) = 14
Female Human-Cyborg
I may or may not have just searched it online. Also, I dig that as a model. She wasn't very comfortable with those guards being killed for similar reasons.
Female Human-Cyborg
I can't tell if he's making a joke, a science reference, or speaking metaphorically...
Female Human-Cyborg
perception: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 3) + (1) = 8 I believe with the dice die rules, that's a four total? Persuade: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 2) + (6) = 12
"This truly is a fascinating piece of technology, She starts off easy enough, approaching the spectroanaylizer. "Could you demonstrate to me some of the finer details? If I ever hope to make it in this company, learning how this thing operates is beyond necessary."
Female Human-Cyborg
Honey finds her eyes drawn to the station where they were analyzing the beam qualities, mentally marking that as the place she'd likely have to start first. She could already think of a few ways to throw off the systems in a way to make things seem less then perfect.
Female Human-Cyborg
Well, I wouldn't say she was very human, but underneath all that bulky equipment there's something more or less fleshy. Honestly, the picture I choose is rather intentionally androgynous in that sense. I had art I used for her once upon a time, but I've lost track of it. As well, Honey is strictly described as being on the more unremarkable end. Maybe about 5 or 6/10 if you wanted simple numbers.
Female Human-Cyborg
Honey rolled her eyes, an exceptionally common display considering this was their first time uncovered. Her face was honestly on the more unremarkable side despite its faded palor. Soft green irises accompanied by short unkept blonde hair, if one were to ignore the rather obviously metallic jawline she'd pass for a regular human.
Female Human-Cyborg
"Hm..." She considered the droid before they went through he cleaning process, approaching it to attach her jacks. A droid of any sort would be useful to them, it shouldn't be too much trouble to give it a set of instructions of how to leave the building and where to wait. If they never had the chace to pick it up afterward, well, it's maintenance protocols would clear out the instructions eventually. Droid Programing: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 5, 2) = 16wild: 1d6 ⇒ 218 A midway point between here and the port seemed like a good point of reference. Instructions made, she nodded to Belfore. "Return to your protocols, as they come in." Once in t he cleanroom, it felt a bit strange not having herself clothed for a short span of time. The bulk of her outfit really did hide the number of curves she'd both been born with and modified into herself over the years. Picking out the whites of a lab tech was a no-brainer, but she tried to keep her ear out for talk about what the orange uniforms entailed. Perception: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10wild: 1d6 ⇒ 212
Female Human-Cyborg
The cyborg humms slightly, observing the droid. "I could lift his restrictions, but anyone who knew anything would be suspicious of there being a droid walking around freely."
Female Human-Cyborg
Security: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 4) = 9 Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 3 "Here. We should be able to use this for the rest of the floor. Unless something weird is going on, the analog prongs are generally universal for a given area or role. We're, obviously, a lab technitian decal' so..." She trails off, and vaguely waves her hand in the general direction of everyone. "We should get ourselves properly cleaned for the roll. Work out our next step from there."
Female Human-Cyborg
She's silent for a moment before shaking her head in dismissal. "This is honestly a touch bit pathetic. Give me a moment here." Taking the security key, she moves over to the console and starts jacking in to adjust things to their needs. This was an opportunity she just wasn't going to let slip. Security: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 3) = 16wild: 1d6 ⇒ 3 19
Female Human-Cyborg
Perception: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) = 7 Honey's head moves almost impercepbtly at what she sees, before focusing more on the techie. "This would be a good chance to text it's capabilities, but, hmm..."
Female Human-Cyborg
Knowledge: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 3) = 12 "Sir." She speaks dryly, leveling every inch of her unimpressed gaze at the socially confused guardsman. So what if her bulky engineer's outfit hit what little curves she might've had, and so what if underneath her face-gear a large portion of her lower jaw was distinctly squarer then it used to be? Yes, maybe she's had to make a few sacrifices along the way, but there was no changing the fact she was and always would be woman. Not that she let this bother her right now, of course. There were more important matters. "We're taking this one upstairs." Honey plainly states, skipping out on the purpose to let them fill out the blanks. Or more aptly, to let someone more qualified in fibbing to do so.
Female Human-Cyborg
Ahh, sure, if you feel like that's what's need right now. I'm wanting to keep going, but now when you're stressed about life and all. I'll be here.
Female Human-Cyborg
I can feel you there. It does feel like I'm a bit lopsided with the party. Everyone else is great at combat while she can barely wave a pistol, but on the other hand she's been tackling almost all of these doors and blockades the group needs to get through. Diversifying the encounters can be tough to Crack, but we'll get there I do feel like I should invest into explosives more, though. She's had a good track record with that so far. ▪︎v▪︎
Female Human-Cyborg
3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4) + (4) = 14 Honey nodded on agreement with the Drifter. "I'll be the first to ad it I'm not quite optimized for stealthy insertions. Work best with a group that knows how to provide good cover one way or the other. Mal, you've got a knack for this. To me currently look mostly like a security escort for a lone systems admin and her droid. What are your own thoughts?"
Female Human-Cyborg
"Personally, having ridden in that thing our prior escort called a ship, I'd prefer theft." Honey voiced.
Female Human-Cyborg
"well, we'll see what happens when I see the lock in person. I'm reasonably confident in my ability however. In regards to our means of escape, we do have a standing offer with a ship already docked, but... It won't hurt to take a look and see if I can find anything in the Hangar. One momment." The cyborg moves back over to the console, fiddling with things in hopes she might get some access to the camera feeds for either the Hangar or anywhere else for that matter. security: 4d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 1) + (4) = 9 "Agh... I'm having trouble finding the right file directory. Who designed this system..."
Female Human-Cyborg
"Seems like as good a plan as any. As Mal said, we're on a mission from a certain subset of people to undermine a vastly far larger subset of people. We'll give you more details as they're needed. For now, let's make sure these kaiser crystals aren't getting off-world." Honey approaches Belfore, straightening herself up to look the role of a proper administrator. "Security in this sector seems to be compromised, we need to move to this area of the facility to make sure things are intact. BL-4, I'll need you to accompany us as we investigate."
Female Human-Cyborg
Glad we've got a direction to go in, but I am a bit busy this Christmas season. Will be back to posting once I can.
Female Human-Cyborg
Here might be best, as our characters would already remember the details we ourselves might've forgotten. Though I suppose the recently imprisoned wouldn't be fully aware either.
Female Human-Cyborg
Right, I think it's about time we go over again our goals here, so we can decide how we'll be approaching it.
Female Human-Cyborg
For a moment, it seems that Honey's actually having some trouble with the local firewalls. When Tavin moves in to provide his own assistance, she nods her head in appriciation. security: 4d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 5) + (3) = 16
Female Human-Cyborg
"Honeypot, she speaks the name with an odd mechanical whirl not unlike that if an astromech. "Call me Honey for short. Don't go any shorter than that. I'm the team's slicer, part of what we came here for is to break all of you out. The other part... Well, that's what I need this terminal for." The cyborg gestures vaugelt bwside her, but dosn't yet make to move toward it. All her attention was on the freed prisoners.
Female Human-Cyborg
"Yes, it really is getting in the way of what was shaking up to be a perfectly routine inspection." She agrees, before moving to where it was appropriate to do so.
Female Human-Cyborg
Hope everyone else's holidays have been going alright, been busy lately over here. Honey falters for a moment, before nodding in assentation. "I can't speak for the big guy back there, but I didn't come here with the intent of shedding blood. If you promise to sit down and look pretty, let us do our own jobs, then nothing'll come of this." Persuasion: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 5) + (2) = 12
Female Human-Cyborg
"Yeah, I'm not dealing with this guy. Good luck boys." Honey agrees, and moves to follow Dartel.
Female Human-Cyborg
"I probably won't need something so overt. Just watch my back in case there's a surprise waiting for us." Honey says, taking the blaster and hanging it off her stolen uniform. Approaching the door, she tries to do what she can to crack it open. Security: 4d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 3) + (2) = 17
Female Human-Cyborg
Honey looks over to Mal, "Where did you say that other gyard was? I need to get into the security hub if I want to actually get a bead on the console."
Female Human-Cyborg
Would the security console have any access to cameras, automated defenses, etc.?
Female Human-Cyborg
My intent is to try grabbing nay information that'll be useful for the second half of the op, perhaps such as a map and wherever we might find those crystals we're meant to sabotage. If She can tamper with the records directly from here, she might just do that instead/as well.
Female Human-Cyborg
"Let me see if I can get something out of those consoles for a moment, while we're here. Will only take a moment." Honey announces, making a bee-line for wherever seems good place to start slicing through. I'll place her randomly along the walls. "Let's see here..." She mutters, hooking up a cable to the nearest port. Security: 4d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 6) + (2) = 24
Female Human-Cyborg
Is Mal misreading her, perhaps? She's not mocking him for having bloodlust or whatever. He's a fantastic shot, and as such she felt stunning would have just as much impact. Honey merely finds the alternative less messy then leaving a trail of bodies. To be fair, Honey probably already killed a lot of people back at the market with her bomb. You could view it as being hypocticial.
