"Now, if you wish to negotiate with the Goblins, maybe they could drop by some food on the route you take, call it a tithe . . . a toll . . . a convenince fee for using your land. This way you get regular food and the Goblins don't die.

"Let's face it, best case scenario, the Goblins stop using the trail and you run out of food. Worst case scenario, they bring some archmage or high holy cleric that is something you can't deal with . . . or maybe just an army of two-hundred or so heavily armored Goblins. I think we can both agree no single creature here could stand up to such an army-In light of that, I think striking a deal sounds reasonable."

Grammy Casts Sheleligh and raises her shield.

"Come now . . . I . . . I don't know what you are young kitten, but we can work out a deal hmmm? This needn't come to violence!"

"Hmmm, Those cats . . . something about them. They seemed of uncommon intelligence . . . I mean, cats are usually smarter than people give them credit for, but these were smarter still. I think I know how to track them though. But first, healing plaster for everyone."

Grammy will start watering earth into mud and using medicine+the healing plaster cantrip to top everyone off.

"Let go you . . . cur! Does your den mother know where you are youn kitten?" Grammy devolves into wildspeach as she chastises the cat grabbing her, then bonks it on the head with her cane.

"Oh, dear me, I didn't say YOU left the latch open m'dear. Just that someone did. Oh my is that a guilty concience I detect? I was only musing out loud."

As Granny is escorted into the arena she shoulders off her cloak and cracks her back, standing upright for the first time, revealing that she is strangely quite still muscled for a woman her age. She then picks up her club/cane and gives it a few practice swings as a cudgel.

"Oh fine, if this ol' warhorse has to get into combat again. . . ."

Granny does, in fact, have 16 strength.

Granny will walk alongside the gnome swordlord.

"Now, whoever undid the latch on the cat carrier must feel pretty foolish right about now. Not only did their ruse not accomplish anything, but now they have to live with the guilt of cheating . . . knowing that they couldn't win in a fair fight and instead of accepting that loss, and learning from it, they resorted to skullduggery. I almost pity them . . . Wonder who it was. . ." and casts a sideways glance to the gnome before finding a seat.

Grammy walks over to a branch with a berry and casts goodberry on it, then walks over to the last place anyone saw the cat.

Using wild empathy, she'll talk directly to the cat (though she still is using nature, the skill.)

"Oh, come out here deary. This berry, I know you don't like berries but listen-this berry tastes like cream and will heal up any scratches you got from hiding out under the bush. C'mon little one, grammy will take care of you."

Grammy tilts her head back, closes her eyes, and begins to speak-sing.

Grammy has +8 nature but not much else.

I’m still best at medicine (being a medic) but I also have survival at +8 to handle a cat.

Also. . . I could just . . . Talk to the cat. My diplomacy isn’t great but maybe being able to talk to them would give me a bonus.

So we've got to make a decision here.

So, Grammy has the medic archetype meaning she's expert in medicine already with a +10, so that might be something we do. She also has +8 to nature so the poem might be something, and a +7 to athletics so, strangely enough, she could do well in Tug-O-war.

"Oh, don't mind Ol' Granny Thistldown over here. Just gonna sit a spell. I'm just heres as a medic from Lastwall. O'course m'first name's actually Grizelda, but people just call me Grammy."

When Farabellus tell her not to sabotage the other team, Gwen tries to look innocent. "I mean..."

At the knock, Gwen looks startled. "They're here now?" She quickly brushes her hair and checks herself in a mirror. She adjusts the scarf that's tied around her neck.

Gwen goes to help Grammy towards the door. As they approach, she waves a hand and four orange flame lights appear to softly light the space.

”Why thank you Gwen, dear, so kind.”

Grammy, for some reason, seems to be largely immune to the insects and also seems to be reveling in the overall atmosphere of the swamp.

"Ah, such a lovely place you've finally brought us to capatin, thank you." While the others might mean that sarcastically, Grammy seems to be genuine in her appreciation.

"Though I can't imagine some young wippersnappers would find much use in fighting an old codger like me, I'd be happy to help you with any herblore that might come up on some of these tests. Why, this fine are seems to have invigorated me."

Grammy will run out of the tomb (remembering the trap) and desperately look for a berry on some shrub or cactus or something that she can cast goodberry on to feed to the rest of her team.

"Now, forgive me Mr. Kline, an old woman gets confused sometimes, but we were told that . . . while permission to excavate had been issued some months back . . . it had gone through some bureaucratic rigamarole and we only just received confirmation last week. Now, considering you've been here for a month, that's three weeks before you could have possibly known we got permission from the government to excavate here . . . see where an old lady gets confused?"

She holds up the dig cite papers and points to the "Received by Sothis Lodge on" {last week's date}.

Grammy also casts light on her cane/stick
