Just for full disclosure -- I'm running at least 2 tables of this so I'll let the rest of you decide what to do. :)

Skills in challenges generally listed from lowest DC to hardest DC. The exception is the spellcasting to catch the cat, which is a low DC for the challenge.
You can use alternative skills/skill actions in the challenges, including Lores, but the Lore needs to be appropriately applicable. Other alternative skills have a higher DC than the listed skills.

So, Grammy has the medic archetype meaning she's expert in medicine already with a +10, so that might be something we do. She also has +8 to nature so the poem might be something, and a +7 to athletics so, strangely enough, she could do well in Tug-O-war.

Gwen will do well in the wit contest, but marginal in most others. She could help in the poem one.
She could try to use a color spray or charm on the cat.

either the cat one or the insults one for Bashii's skill set.
I've run this thrice. The common denominator for all 3 is the tug-of-war. After that it's medicine and insults.

Poem has 3 votes. Everything else has 2 except Obstacle Course with 1.
So pick First Aid, Tug-of-War, Insults, or Non-lethal Capture.

I’m still best at medicine (being a medic) but I also have survival at +8 to handle a cat.
Also. . . I could just . . . Talk to the cat. My diplomacy isn’t great but maybe being able to talk to them would give me a bonus.

oh cool. I've never done either. I've been wondering how to do the cat one... :)
