Let's move on with this. This is the quick and easy for this dilemma. The broom will be added treasure for the party when they complete this AP. What do you say?

Ragnir wakes up itching and scratching from an infestation of fleas.


Ragnir moves around the giant table to close ranks with his comrades.


Ragnir takes a step. He is now flanking this first Giant from the Group of Four. He gives it his all with his Frost Mace, striking the Hill Giant. Ragnir misses with his back swing.

Ragnir advances on one of the flat-footed Hill Giants. But startled by the sudden burst of flames, he misses on his attack.

Ragnir will stay back in the pantry with the villagers then.


"I have a better idea. Let Anga teleport the villagers to safety and then return. Then we go kill a dragon," Ragnir says in matter-of-fact fashion.

I guess the party can keep Ragnir for a little while longer. Anga can carry three medium-sized humanoids plus herself via teleport. She could then return. She would be without fifth level spells.


"The faster I can leave, the sooner I can get these villagers to safety, and then try to get help from Janderhoff," Ragnir responds to Kaos.


Ragnir will wake up and look around. He will check on the two prospectors and the villager. "Where and how will we care for them in the midst of these giants," he ponders.

The Warpriest looks at the newly discovered broom. It is large enough for four to ride. Ragnir approaches the party, "I am concerned for the well being of the prospectors and this villager. I propose that I take this broom and return them to their homes. Then head to Janderhoff and warn them about what we have discovered. Maybe the Lord of Janderhoff will send forces to help secure Minderhal's Valley."

GM note: The broom is in the Adventure Path and in this pantry. It could be very useful to the party. However, the party will be able to raise to 9th level after defeating the Dragon. I believe Anga will have a Teleport by then. This is an opportunity to let Ragnir go and at the same time take care of the dilemma of dealing with three non-combatants in a continuously hostile area. There are still many giants around. However, the decision is still the party's to agree or disagree too. I will wait for a consensus.

Edit: Actually, the party has enough experience points for 9th level now. I see no good reason to hold it back. The pantry with Ferin keeping watch is a safe place.

Ragnir huffs and puffs as he climbs to reach the battle on the stairs.

Anga and Ulfgard will complete the round.


Ragnir, with Frost Mace in hand, swings at the third big bird. With the Blessing of Fervor, he was able to land a couple of blows against the bird.

Ragnir moves into the room, but just far enough from the creature to prevent it from reacting to his movement.


Ragnir runs toward his friend Ulfgard, his mighty Frost Mace in hand.

Still need a Fort Save from Ulfgard.


Ragnir will grab hold of Haskyll when he sees the Dwarf wanting to follow the Zombie Giants.

Since the party was not actively engaging the giants, I will say after several rounds, Haskyll will be able to regain control and not follow the Zombie Giants into battle.


With a bow nearly as tall as himself, Ragnir pulls back and fires two more arrows toward the Manticore, though this time with a little added blessing.

It didn't help. Both arrows never reached the target.


Ragnir huffs, then knocks another arrow. It nears the Manticore but misses. The second arrow doesn't even come close, falling harmlessly to the ground.

Ragnir looks on pulls his arrow as far back as he can and looses an arrow.

The arrow sticks into the Manticore. Encouraged, he immediately grabs another arrow and let's it fly.

But the second arrow had no punch in it and fell harmlessly back to the earth.

The Manticore has 9HPS left.


Ragnir wakes up with a "What in Torag's name!"

He stands, seeing everyone looking up, he looks up. Then grabs his bow.

Ragnir was unable to figure out the glasses. He became a bit ill as well.

But he was able to figure out what the gloves did.

Ragnir takes a step and with his frost mace attacks the first Cyclops.


Ragnir runs up next to Ulfgard. It is a humorous site watching the well armored Dwarf running.


Ragnir reacting quickly touches the party as he brings up a Communal Protection from Evil on everyone before anyone else was able to act.

First, the subject gains a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves. Both these bonuses apply against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures.

Ragnir starts choking and puking from the horrid smell.

He moves back next to the mule and out of the Stinking Cloud. The aroma around the mule is pleasant in comparison.

Ragnir barely resists the effects of the putrid slime. He then pounds on the slimy mass approaching him.

As the clay Stone Giant approaches, Ragnir takes a step and puts all his power behind his attacks. The Warpriest cracks the clay structure with each blow.

Ragnir sloshes through the muck to get to the first Scrag. With Deadly Juggernaut now in force, the Dwarf Warpriest strikes with his powerful mace.
