You start the journey back to the Village.
RP for a while. Sorry, some heavy stuff has been happening in my life recently.
Yes. Much explodings of heads were had by me. It's a rare condition called headasplodeosis. But do not fret! I will have a new post in the Gameplay thread in a few hours!
Heheheheh! Sorry about the confusion everybody! Shows me I shouldn't GM at 1 in the morning.

OH CRAP
I TOLD YOU GUYS I'M OUT OF IT
THE GUY NEVER ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION
GRAAAAAAAH
*head asplode from Total Story Death*
Jordan Andosano wrote: Want to see if this guy can make it farther this time. From the way everyone's talking, it seems like APs fall apart far more often than they should.
"Yes..."
He failed his saving throw by at least twenty. You may now weep on his behalf.
All the Orcs of clan Wolftooth know him as "The Shaman" anyways.
Let's move this conversation to Discussion, where discussion of the gameworld is supposed to go.
It was at the VERY beginning of the PbP. The Shaman was with the Chieftain.
So... Half-Elf. Yes.
Bramble Brewer Alchemist is a-go.
This is a good plan. Let me go post that Lantik has gone to sleep.
So... hrm.
I!
no...
I think...
...
...
...
ALCHEMIST!
YUS
I will enter with an Alchemist!
If you want, we can still talk about stuff and things in Discussion.
Guys, sorry to drop this on you, but I've been feeling under the weather, and I'm not really up to GMing a homebrew campaign at the moment. The game will pick up on Monday.
"Yes... we're the only ones the Wizard trusts outside of the town."
Hey check it out, two full-casters! I'll get to work on my alias right now.
Oh! I actually got to exactly this point in the AP before my old group fell apart. I don't have that alias anymore, though. He's been repurposed.
I'd be interested in playing an Aetherurgist Oracle of the Dark Tapestry or Oracle of Bones.
EDIT: I want to make this since you guys don't seem to have a dedicated caster.
actually, scratch that, I'd love to try out the Huntmaster cavalier archetype. I CAN get Boon Companion for both of my companions, though, right?
Ah, alright. I read it. I'm interested!
Can I play as one of the various nonmagical Ranger archetypes? I have an idea for a Halfling Ranger that could prove very interesting...
"She should be with my daughter. She has a bit of an underbite and her teeth are a bit big, so that one of them sticks out of her mouth a little."
"My... my daughter has bright green eyes, and she's about three years old... pale flesh, dark hair... She always has a little Orc doll her mother made her - my wife's descended from Bearclaw, real proud of it..."
shiz just got interesting. Again.
"Please, I didn't want to die, I just - I just want you to save my wife and daughter!"
The man is in tears now. You broke him, Draxia, good job.
@Tiger: No. Whoever cast the spell accounted for that.
"I have no more information I can give, just... please, save my family. I can't go back, they'll burn me."
Hey, you're roleplaying it really well. I honestly thought you were just a really creepy chaotic neutral character. But that's what most evil characters aim to look like! ^_^
Alright, Draxia... where in your backstory does it say how effin' creepy you are?
It's an ethereal spike. You would need magic to pull it out.
@Olrune: you discern that the ward is a powerful necromancy spell that some Wizard created. You see a ghostly black spike positioned on the man's heart, and the runes surrounding it tell you that the spike will go in if he says anything. About what, you can't tell. The runes seem to shift into Draconic from there.
@Olrune: You see an aura emanating from the man that can only be described as draconic. It is ancient and powerful, savage, yet controlling. Spellcraft check or Kno(Arcana) check to learn its properties.
"My name is Tarlen," the man says. You barely hear him, as you are mesmerized by the aura created by the spells on him.
@Runt: "We certainly could try."
I started tearing up and laughing maniacally at the same time after reading the last couple of posts. You guys seriously have a great grasp on the Orcish mentality.
If you think that's not a normal response to this, you seriously have a separate mindset from me.
The man turns towards Runt and chuckles grimly to himself. Suddenly, his eyes seem almost... dead. Something truly traumatic has happened to this man.
"Heh... perhaps you can help us out of this hole we dug, runt. We have certain spells preventing us from saying anything about these scars or House Dragonrose's plans. Forest's blessings to you, Orcs. You are much less brutal than we were told."
He is referring to your small size, of course, Runt.
@Garmack: The wolves have gone back to the village, though you do have Odak to help carry everything.
NOT necessarily in order:
@Runt:You can see the fear well up in the man's eyes at the prospect. He nods and allows you to rip the badge from his clothes. You notice that he's wearing rags underneath his armor, and he has old burn marks on his chest - Draxia didn't inflict those.
@Olrune: "The wizard in our town is more powerful than any of you dogs could take on, even together. Face it, you Savages are doomed!"
Alright, I have an awesome idea for a Runic Berserker who was born and raised in the Worldwound by lost Crusaders.
Would you allow that, or do you want something less "over-the-top"?
@Garmack: Lol, that sounds like you're trying to sell them to the other party members. You have to succeed at an opposed Diplomacy roll to do so!
There are seven hand crossbows, a heavy crossbow, twenty magic bolts, thirty normal bolts, and seven sets of masterwork leather armor.
As you examine the leader, you notice a medal denoting his rank pinned to the clothing under his armor. It'll take some coercion to get it off of him, should you want it.
Then yeah, you won't get it.
@Runt: SO THE DICE SAY, SO IT SHALL BE. XD
That's more of a Knowledge (History) check I think.
Wow. Garmack, I'm giving you a +5 bonus to intimidate just because you said that so elegantly.
The human blinks. "S-so one of you has half a brain? Fine! We came from a newly-founded village known as Southvale. It's situated to the south of that hill that seems to have been cleaved in two. Why you filthy things would ever want to go there, I don't know, since only our Wizard has any ability to stop you. The rest are civilians."
"Mark my words, in the name of the banner of House Dragonrose, we will cleanse these lands of your kind!"
I don't believe you've actually told him what you want to know, I just saw a bunch of intimidate checks. Am I wrong?
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
The man spits in your face, hitting your eye with his pathetic attempt at the contemptuous gesture.
"Pah, I'm surprised creatures of your intellect can even pick up a sword!"
As it happens, all of the bolts the trappers had with them are magic (+1 enhancement). Unfortunately, all but 20 were destroyed in combat.
The trappers have no money or supplies on them - there must be a base camp nearby.

Unless they are different in your world of course.
I see no reason why a smaller crossbow should need an exotic proficiency to use. They were basically the guns of their day.
Speaking of which, guns are martial weapons here, using the standard Golarion rules for guns.
@Garmack: You can have a Large wolf companion, without any of the stat changes until 10th. Sure, sure, no problem. I was just curious.
Wait guns are common? Is that in the civilised world, or with the orcs as well. I'm starting to see some historical parallels. Interesting. Sort of colonials vs aboriginal cultures. No, Guns aren't common, I just see no reason why they aren't Martial. It's at the Emerging Guns stage.
"Wouldn't YOU like to know, lesser spawn!"
The man has reverted to Common out of fear and rage. He lashes out, going for Runt's throat.
Dotted all the way! I have a Crusader MCA I've been itching to try out, it's basically a fusion of Paladin and Inquisitor.
here it is.
I'd like to go for the Marshal or Champion path, leaning towards Marshal.
The leader spits at the lumbering beasts before him.
@Garmack: I'm unfamiliar with the arrow retrieval rules, but two of your arrows missed.

...alright, no matter who posts next, all of the trappers are dead by the end of this round.
Whoever has rope can tie up the leader for questioning, and he also needs healing.
And suddenly, all of the good rolls are had.
I promise the next combat will be much less messy.
@Draxia: It's fine.
END ROUND 2
The trappers who are still conscious will get up as soon as they can and run.
