Freki saw that there would be no ground pounding for present. Seeing that his brethern prepared their heavier weapons he switched over to one of the gunner seats. "I say fire at will, the Emperor will sort out their deaths." he said his fingers eager over the trigger. Ballistic Skill when the order is given+Aim 48: 1d100 ⇒ 54 Oh noes 1DoF
Freki could only grin at Ulf's suggest "Yes, that is a find idea Blood Brother. Think of how shocking and disheartening it would be for the Kroot to see Space Wolves use them as cushions before slicing and killing those nearby with a savagery only we could offer." he said as he began to ready himself for such a tactic in case it was approved.
Freki looked over the scene unfolding. It was true that they had little to go by and that the IG would fall if they did not receive help but it was also true that this was not their mission anymore and that the IG were ready to die for the emperor in almost any battle. He looked at the scene and imagined up a few scenarios and how they would play out and it led mostly to one proper ending if they were to do this and keep the mission on task. Freki hit the Vox channel "Permission for one of the Thunderhawks to take leave and offer some relief to the pitiful souls down there. Leader if this isn't stepping on your toes, take the mission critical and dig in safely while we try to save the fodder and pick up a bit of intel." he offered up as he looked over the scene.
Freki kicked the back of the seat of the brother in front of him "How come you never take me anywhere nice?" he said before he howled with laughter, the sight before him was what he was most accustomed to and he was debating when he could bail out and light up his jumpack to join the fray. He remembered though, that the battle wasn't what he was here for. No, that was what his old life was for. The life of a deathwatch member was different, sure you would get your fill of killing but it was more about retrieving or saving things. He growled softly remembering and gripped his seat to settle back down a bit.
They were all getting stir crazy as the days went by and true blood was not shed. Sparring only did so much to keep him at bay and the ship was too small for his tastes. As the time ticked down towards the day they would finally be in real space again, Freki began dawning his full battle gear ready to fight at a moments notice from the moment he woke up to the moment he with much anger and anxiousness went back to sleep. When the serf found him, he was greeted with a fully outfitted Space Wolf armed to the teeth. The look in Freki's eyes told the poor serf that he'd better have good news or they may be a price to pay and all the serf could manage was a nod before he was physically removed from Freki's path and the wolf was on the hunt. He didn't need to know the location, all he needed was the smell of his pack to find the proper place and he could find their scents with ease.
Freki snorted when Viluf pulled the dice from his pouch and asked for the mjod "Bah, you feel that as soon as we got on the ship we deserve the right to drink. We must show these shipmates of ours why we wolves are the best fighters and hunters of the Marines. Let us put a few of them in their place first and earn their trust on this ship before we drink and break things we might not mean to."
Frei would walk along with the rest, swearing the oath and toasting to victory as long as he could. He carried a six pack of the mjod for the ride down. He laughed as he looked on to the green marines and downed another one. "Kill our Emperor's enemies or die an honorable death taking them out." He climbed into the back of the ride and kicked up his feet. "Bah, I doubt this is enough to even enjoy the ride down. Imagine I will be sober before the first kill...if not, well I guess I might just get a little sloppy with my kills...those poor Tau, I was gonna try and at least make it painless." he said grinning from ear to ear, showing his fangs with pride.
Freki grinned a bit "Aye, I'll follow you for now but you best be able to at least match one of my arms death count or you're gonna have to fight me for the honor of leading a bunch of wolves after this mission" he said giving the man his acceptance but still challenging him to keep up with their ways. Fangs for hire? Blood Pack?
Freki stood there watching and listening intently while he didn't understand everything that was being described to him, he did know this...these items were his mission and between him and those were likely a LOT of Tau. That was interesting. He cleared his throat "I relish the thought of ripped open their armor, this shall be a glorious battle. Tell me, is this all we face? What else is this world known for?" he asked partially echoing Ulf's own interest.
Hmm...i'm not entirely sure what my poor Space Wolf is seeing. Though seeing his other brother's he would have thrown aside the serf he had been hauling along for the ride. Could you give me a brief idea in laymens terms what I see? The top slides off a nearby
Freki was standing outside the command area, pacing in a rather aggressive fashion. It was like clockwork, every day around the time serf's were sent out to deliver the intel to the deathwatch team chosen for the missions at hand. The serf's had begun to not look him in the eyes, for all they would see were hunger and rage as they passed him by day after day. But today one serf looked him square in the eyes as the doors open and Freki could only grin. The serf had barely gotten out the location for the mission briefing before he was picked up message and all. With a howl of joy, Freki began to pound boots down the hall, poor serf in tow all the while alerting every Space Wolf in the area of his presence as he charged forwards towards his next battlefield. Even with the luggage in tow, he did his best to make it to the meeting first ahead of his crew, there was blood to be spilled and he wanted to make sure he had his share.
Freki had most of his gear laying about in a circle along with that of another marine's gear. The two going at each other with nothing but their fists and boots. It was aggravating being cooped up in the station waiting for the others to arrive and their mission to be called up finally and there was no better way to rid oneself of pent up aggression then with a bit of friendly sparring. Left, left, right, left...this guy is getting to predictable. Here comes the kick, counter and twist. he thought as he played the cautious game in the bout. He waited for the pattern to recycle then kicked the leg out from under the other marine an brought a hammerblow down on his chest finishing the bout. He caught his breath slowly helped pick the other man up. "You need to vary your style, true the orcs may never have enough brains to figure it out but a tau would easily figure it out" he said as he clapped the man on the shoulder and helped him up. This had been the third day he had been here and about the tenth fight he'd gotten into. He was restless and it was beginning to wain thin on his mind. He grabbed up all the gear and put it all back on as he slammed his fist on the wall and walked down the hall towards command hoping there may finally be a mission for them.
I have made myself a Character profile. Thank you Erik for most of the work. I am going assault, I will be going of course two weapon fighting as stated before and most likely will be going for in the long haul two lightning claws for weapons to really tear up the field. I am not sure on much anything else at the moment but as it shows up I will figure it out and let others know.
This is Vincent presenting the Bard Jean. Everything is up in his profile for reading, I hope that doesn't offend that I put it there instead of straight in the recruitment section. I took Barroom Talespinner as my campaign trait, and the GM said that he will allow the retraining of skills so my various skills in the performance arts have been placed in appropriate skills till such levels I get a new Versatile performance. After this level I plan on putting a points in each knowledge skill that the book suggests (for the most part) to help with with any Bardly rolls needed....I can't really think of what else to say but thank you for considering me for the campaign. |
