I have been playing pathfinder society pretty consistently for over 2 years now and I am delighted that the mood and theme of Scenarios is moving in this direction. I am delighted to play and run games where my PCs are not mooks or thugs but "Trouble Shooters." Fixing delicate problems, thinking before acting, having a reason to be aware of one's environments and encounters that just scream "YOU WOULD BE A FOOL TO FIGHT THIS!!" Please continue to make scenarios that encourage smart & interesting characters and discourage walking algebra equations.
To GMs: Prepare well. There is a wealth of important descriptions and interactions that really bring the setting to life in meaningful ways. Take this opportunity to immerse yourself and your players and you wont regret it.
To Players: Min/Max need not apply. Bring the character that tugs at your heart strings to this adventure and play it to the hilt. You will remember it for a long time to come. I know I will.
