What are everyone't thoughts on a Half Elf Free Hand Fighter/Armored Battlemage character? Specifically, would it be effective for PFS and are there any obvious weaknesses or incompatibilities? What about building him to sunder weapons and armor, more effectively at about level 4ish with an adamantine bastard sword?
Eldritch archer has an edge until something gets to 0 range. Then they are up a creek because they can't switch weapons and using a bow that close provokes AoOs. It is basically a tanked wizard using a bow to deliver the spells instead of them passing through air due to the range limits of spells. So no powerful touch spells.
This: The attack does not increase the spell’s range.
Another question. What helps balance the wizard vs sorcerer? Any ideas on how the seeking enhancement works with precision combat?
Is the Eldritch Archer a legal archetype for pfs? Where is that type of information located because I had issues finding anything specific. Also, my local venture captain keeps saying that there are a lot of things that prevent sniping but all I find are things that prevent sneak attacks and the sniping penalty. Am I missing something?
Could I have a weapon cord on a wand, drop the wand and be able to use a bow? Or just hold a wand in the same hand as a bow? Or have the cord tied off to my belt instead of my wrist? I want to minimize the chance of loosing or breaking the wand. I have a sniping rouge that I want to, from cover, use a wand to cast 'vanish' and move to a different location using stealth, on the next turn do a sneak attack and make a stealth check for sniping. Reliving me of the wand has to be a free action to do that. |
