![]() Feel free to post your character introductions, roleplay, etc. We'll get started with the game on Monday. For now, you've been summoned to a briefing room in the Grand Lodge by none other than Drandle Dreng himself, though you don't know what for. ![]()

![]() Ok, so everyone vote on a scenario to run first, or however you guys want to do it, and we'll get started! ![]()
![]() I'm going to be running a new group of players through a campaign mode of Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition, and they expressed interest in playing through as many scenarios dealing with Thasillon and the Runelords so that they can apply the chronicles from RotRL to characters in pfs play and have pathfinders that are "specialized" in thassilonian lore and runelords, and possibly gather items and boons from chronicles that fit that theme. My question is, what all scenarios tie into that type of concept? I know The Season of the Waking Rune dealt primarily with that, but I don't think they'll be able to play through an entire season, and I would like to cherry pick the appropriate ones. Anyone know off hand which ones are best? Thanks! ![]()

![]() The Boon:
You have a special contract with an ammunition crafter, and you are able to order small batches of specialty ammunition as a result. You may purchase +1 corrosiveUE, +1 flaming, +1 frost, and +1 shock ammunition in sets of 10 instead of sets of 50. You can cross this boon off the Chronicle sheet at the beginning of an adventure to gain 5 pieces of this ammunition in any combination for free; this free ammunition has a sell value of 0 gp. Does this mean I can infinitely buy the smaller lots, or is it a one time use to get a lot of 50, but split into the combinations listed? So, with that, what is the cost of buying the smaller lots? The price in the CRB is listed for 50, there aren't any price options for just 10. I myself am going to be using this boon in the future, but I also have a player that wants to apply it to a character and wishes for clarification first as to what the pricing is. ![]()
![]() Title says it all. I'm making a paladin-duelist for CORE with some GM credit and am coming up dry on ideas for his day job. What the heck would thematically fit? He has no diety, and instead follows his own personal code of law.
Any suggestions are welcome! ![]()
![]() Hi all! The Tampa Lodge has now extended its reach into Pasco County via... me! I'm going to be coorodinating games at one of two gaming stores in Holiday/New Port Richey, so if there are any players in the area, feel free to private message me on paizo so we can touch base. Game sign-ups will more than likely be done on floridapfs.org, warhorn, and paizo, and walk-ins/new players are always more than welcome. If you are a GM in the area and want to run games, definitely message me on paizo, as we are building this community from the ground up and the more GM's we have, the more people can play! Further announcement as to which game store we will be "centered in" at first will come in a couple of days, but with enough GM's and dedicated players, we can easily handle multiple bases of operation. ![]()
![]() So for a skull and shackles game I made a dirty trick fighting swashbuckler/rogue who used blade and tankard and lots of CMB maneuvers. The GM didn't like that character (read: Jesus H Christ! Stop blinding the bad guy every round!) and it got ate by a giant squid. (Alas poor Killian, we barely knew ye...) So, I am now rolling up a new character at level 4. I decided on the Bloodrager, as I haven't played the class yet, and it looks like I can have a lot of fun with it. Enter Urlak Bloodfist, a half orc slave gladiator from Illizmagorti who was experimented on by a rich wizard in order to create a better fighter (which is how he got the black blood and his arcane powers, before he was captured as a slave he was a shaman's apprentice in a tribe of orcs) who broke free, and now uses the chains that once held him captive to terrorize the high seas! (Or, at least he will once the party finds him on an Okeno slaver ship and rescues him... But dammit he's dreaming about terrorizing the high seas with the chains that once bound him!) Since I've never played a Bloodrager or *gasp!* a pounce barbarian, I decided to combine a few ideas into this character. Chiefly, I'm using his bloodline, and the lunge/monkey lunge feats to extend the crap out of his reach, his alternate racial traits to use a spiked chain, and the Primalist archetype to snag the Beast Totem Chain and the Bloody Fist rage power. (Really, you can't have a character named "Bloodfist" and not take that for delicious RP seasoning. You just can't. I wish I had room for the Body Basher rage power too. "Hereeeee Conchobar.....") What I desire from you fine folks, are ideas to improve these mechanics and possibly combos with skills/feats etc that I don't know of from not playing a Bloodrager before. Here's the crunch: Str: 18 (after racial bonus)
Traits:
Racial Traits:
1st: Black Blood Bloodline, Tribal Scars (Raptor Scale), Endurance
I'm considering taking the metamagic rager archetype just because somewhere around level 13 I just can't find any bloodline feats, or regular feats, that really stand out to me. I considered taking some Improved Combat Maneuver feats like trip and disarm since I'll have somewhere around a 20 foot reach with my chain by then, but is it worth it? What do you all think? ![]()
![]() So I'm about to start a multi-campaign adventure with a brand new character, and I'm revisiting an idea I had during the advanced class guide play test. I'm attempting to build a swashbuckler-barbarian character, who's a devout worshippers of Cayden Cailean. I have a decent concept down on paper, but I'm looking to see if you guys have any ideas to make it a "tighter" build, meaning, is there any kind of funky combo that fits the general idea, or a different set of rage powers that would fit better? Basically, here's what I have, what all can you think of to make it better? The build I'm thinking is an intimidation build to debuff in combat, and to eventually pull enemies off of party members with boasting taunt, and then use opportune parry and riposte to keep them from attacking me and to hit them back. With the build currently, once I hit the eighth level of barbarian I'll be looking at terrifying howl. Human Inspired Blade Swashbuckler/ Urban Barbarian

![]() Please post your info here for reporting. Remember, this is played with pre-gens, but does not follow the rule in which if your pre-gen dies, you must file the character to which you were going to apply the chronicle to as dead. Basically, you're a goblin! The more dangerous and possibly fatal your action, the more fun it'll be! ![]()

![]() Just to let you guys know, I have 5 spots open in my table for APCon tomorrow at 2pm. It's run of the Confirmation scenario, and link is HERE I hope to see some of you guys in there! Its a roll20net game, using Google Hangouts for audio. ![]()
![]() I would like to participate in it, but there are no areas nearby that do tabletop gaming, much less Pathfinder Society. Since the boon on the We Be Goblins Free Chronicle (and I am sure others as well) requires you to play the module during the Free RPG Day event, and my only avenue is on PbP, I am just going to risk sounding like a newb and ask. I also would like to know because I wouldn't mind running a PbP scenario or two under the Free RPG day banner as well. ![]()
![]() So, the title says it all. I'm wanting to make a human archaeologist bard who goes into the Field Agent Prestige Class. It will be very flavored toward the society and the tenets that it embodies. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this PrC, and if there are any good combo dips. I may dip inquisitor for the teamwork feat ability that lets me bestow them to my allies. Also, any good ides for feats? I'm drawing a blank here. Build will probably look like Bard 6/Field Agent 6: Str:16 (Racial Bonus)

![]() So, I am about to GM my first PFS game, a complete run through of Emerald Spire, and I have a couple of questions about GM credit. Now, I'm sure that people have asked these before in other threads, so should you feel lazy and have quick access to those, feel free to just post the links. 1: What does GM credit consist of? A chronicle sheet that acts as if the character has completed a scenario, complete with gp, xp, pp, and rewards? Or a watered down version? 2: If I apply the GM credit to a character, does that count as me "playing" the scenario, and lock out my other characters from playing it? Does it lock out the character the credit is applied to from playing it? 3: Emerald Spire counts each floor as a scenario, and suggests slow progression. However, if I'm applying GM credit to my characters, are they limited to slow progression if that's what the party playing the game is using? Or since I may choose to spread the credit out across multiple characters of my own, can the party use slow progression and my credit apply as normal progression? 4: If the group is missing a character, and I have to run a character to make the table legal, do I still apply a GM credit? Does the character I ran for the scenario receive a chronicle sheet? 5: Are there any downsides to using GM credit on pc's, such as stunted fame progression, lower faction rep, etc? I can't think of any others at the moment, but I'm sure all of you awesome GM's out there are thinking of questions I forgot to ask, so if you wish feel free to share as much information on this subject as you want! Thanks guys! ![]()
![]() So, this alias is the character, and I was setting up for feinting in combat and the usual swashbuckler shenanigans. My concern is, do you guys think that I'm waiting too late to take the feint tree, or are they even effective as that level anymore? Any ideas for improvement, or ways to make this character fit the theme I have going with her backstory are most appreciated. Thanks! Level up proposal: 1:Weapon Focus-ADS, Slashing Grace, Swashbuckler's Finesse

![]() So, I wanted to make a swashbuckler that didn't feel like a swashbuckler. I finally settled on taking the Aldori Dueling Sword and Slashing Grace, and going into Dueling Mastery. After that I'll start down the dirty trick line. His inspiration is the classic sarcastic, witty, and ridiculous swashbuckler from movies, doing things like cutting peoples belts so their pants fall down and things like cutting open a bag of flour that's above them to blind them while he taunts them. Here is the feat progression I have so far: 1:Exotic Weapon Proficiency-ADS, Weapon Focus-ADS, Swashbuckler's Finesse
Anyone have any better ideas? Any mechanical combos I'm not thinking of that would fit this idea? The race is human and the traits I have so far are dueling cloak adept and inspired. |
