The mayor responds to the professor, "The evil has always been here, and it sits in plain view at the top of the hill." He suddenly grows visibly agitated. "And the "situation" all started when that damned Lorrimor couldn't leave the place well enough alone, it got him killed and now we're paying the price for it. The fountain, the monument, all the complaints around town I get every day - and they're getting more frequent! And now these blasted night terrors!" "Your beloved professor woke something within those walls, you mark my words." -Posted with Wayfinder

If you want to give your rolls Gritt, I'll just take them into account when your turn comes around. This applies to anyone; feel free to call your actions ahead of time for the round if you want and I'll resolve them when appropriate, or if the situation changes from someone else's actions allow you to change your decision. -Posted with Wayfinder

Later that night as evening falls, the people of town begin gathering for the meeting. Many of them share frightful stories of things watching them at the foot of their beds at night. Others speak of bloody walls, or possessed animals. After a minute or two a woman approaches the group who you recognize as one of the council women of the town, Ms.Faradan. She asks that you all follow her to a back room of the hall. Once inside you can see the other two council members along with Mayor Hearthmount. When he notices you all he seems to stiffen before addressing the party, "Okay now, listen here I'm going to be honest with you folks. I am about to go out in front of these people and make claims that I'm doing everything possible to solve the situation here in Ravengro." "But the truth is, I've no idea where to even begin. I've sent for a request for aid to all neighboring villages, but I doubt they'll be eager to respond. Our reputation proceeds us I'm afraid." The mayor gives a heavy sigh before continuing. "Now I'm not convinced that this isn't at the end of the day all you and Lorrimor's fault. But, after the incident at the well, you appear to be the only ones capable of helping us too." "I'm not expecting outsiders to come to our rescue, but when I walk out to that podium and say I'm using every resource available to me, I want to mean it. So I'm asking you if you'll agree to assist us in fending off this evil that has befallen us." -Posted with Wayfinder

Indeed it does The man says to Krezlak, "Being left alone is thanks enough for me. You're an odd Kobold, take care." Assuming the party is ready to depart another hours journey sees your arrive at the radish patch. It's late night and no one seems awake, but there are a few neighboring cottages to the patch. -Posted with Wayfinder

The man scratches his head for a few moments, "I can't say for certain, but it sounds like the group who is trying to establish the town. Been clearing out lots of nasties around here lately, not that other adventurers aren't either. But as far as popular opinion goes they're probably at the fore front. Might have something to do with the two Elf women they have too." -Posted with Wayfinder

Kendra responds to the professor, "I can't confess to know; but you should have seen the fear on everyone's faces this morning. I think the town is about at its breaking point." "Still, the day is young - and I'd like the forget about it for the moment. I'll go and cook up something for you all, any requests?" -Posted with Wayfinder

The man doesn't seem entirely convinced by Krezlak but says, "I'm just a hunter, come by here every year in the spring and sell the pelts back north. They're some new upstart town about an hour and a half to the north. Not sure about any patrols besides the adventurers coming out of there. I answered your questions so, so that's it then right?" -Posted with Wayfinder

You hear the door to the house, and in walks Kendra to the dining room after a brief moment. Her face is slightly pale and her eyes blood shot, "Oh good you're all up, had a bit of a lie in? Listen - you all didn't -" but she stops, I can see that you did. "You're not alone, the whole town was in a panic this morning down at the square. This combined with everything else going on, they're calling something of an emergency town meeting this evening. I've been asked by the mayor to invite you to attend on his behalf." -Posted with Wayfinder

Haha I'm kinda waiting for the group to decide what to do with the day there isn't any direction really to be given to them today. I could move the story forwards but since not even everyone checked in yet after I reopened the campaign I was hesitant to do so. -Posted with Wayfinder

Yup I know, figured I ask regardless. It was a much easier way to build the character I wanted flavor wise, rather than go Beast Morph Alchemist and be chugging mutagens and extracts. They have their own book, you'd figure they'd be featured. I'll see if anything else interests me.
Not sure if you'll allow Skinwalkers, but I had an idea for a rogue type who stole a mysterious orb. Ever since she's been suffering bouts of animalistic change, and is constantly assailed with visions of the apex of a ziggurant deep in the heart of a jungle. A constant keening voice tugging her ever further south, to Sargova.
Because if stunned you lose all your armor since as a Kensai your unarmored excepting your Dexterity and intelligence and maybe a spell or two like barkskin and mage armor. At which point all you're left with is a defensive spell like blur or mirror images, which demons see straight through. In essence, if you're ever stunned and full attacked, you're going to die.
A slayer is a D10 HD character like any other full BAB class and is no more flimsy than a ranger or fighter both of who also suffer in the will save department; I'm not sure where you're drawing your conclusion from. A magus is far more vulnerable in Melee especially the one you've selected as once stunned you have an AC not even worth mentioning, and most demons past CR8 or so have constant true seeing.

Ok I'll just do stats for now then. Assassin here, your token ball of barely contained ultraviolence. WS: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (8, 2) + 20 = 30
Re-roll Strength: 2d10 + 20 ⇒ (10, 10) + 20 = 40 |
