Khismia gives Gander an ugly look as she pities the dead pugwampi and its further humiliation. Being curious what the pugwampi’s cooking skills are like Khismia looks into the pot of soup Can she identify some of the ingredients?

Glad to see the statue semi-intact and with no danger in sight for the time being, Khismia makes a quiet prayer at the foot of the statue while Hale looks through the books. Once she is done she heads over to Hale in the library and sees if she managed to find a readable book, “What do you have there, Hale? Is it a prayer book?” Being curious, Khismia tilts her head and tries to see the title as Hale reads.

Seeing Hale kicking at the door Khismia runs up to stop her,
Khismia looks around and takes a big breath, it will take a lot of effort to restore this place.

Khismia after pointing takes a defensive stance as she continues to scan the room for anything else of interest, maybe some more artwork or remnants of what this room used to be for? Guess Khismia has the time to go into full defensive; she will do some more searching in her next round. Though gargoyles, in a temple of Sarenrae? Seems strange doesn’t it?
Female Human, Keleshite Oracle of Life
Relieved Khismia smiles ” Glad to see everyone is safe then.” She then tends to her own wounds, wrapping it up before they become more of a problem. Heal check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Now that the immediate danger is over she looks to see what else than filth and dead creatures are in the room Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Khismia, Rose-golden Kismet wrote: Her scimitar starts to glow and clutching it tightly she enters the room Kind of already said I stepped in but okay, guess that is what the low initiative translates to :P Khismia, who was on her way of entering the room sees the two figures appear. She stops and prays for Hale’s safety.

Does Khismia know what the significance of the genies is in relation to the worship of Sarenrae? Why would there be such statues here? Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 Khismia, delighted to see carvings and depictions of people and entities that she has only heard of and eagerly moves in closer to investigate the new carvings. Knowledge Religion: (or history, the + is the same) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Khismia pulls herself together, clears her throat and announces: “This place needs to be cleansed, I know we can’t make this into a running temple for Sarenrae yet, but we cannot let this insult be." With that she starts cleaning the immediate mess, picking up the filthy pages, rearranging the holy items and getting rid of the gnoll remains. This might take a while, but it gives other people either time to search or help clean the mess. Afterwards she asks: “Anyone who wants to pray with me to The Dawnflower is welcome to come join me now.” she says as she readies herself at the altar to pray, waiting to see if anyone would join.
Female Human, Keleshite Oracle of Life
Once Khismia realises the pages are from The Dawnflower’s holy text you can see anger boiling up in her littler frame, as she forces her eyes shut, trying to steady herself as she mumbles: "They probably did not know what the book was about, they do not know Her kindness, they did not mean to insult…" With those words Khismia opens her eyes and looks at the scene, now surprised that the text survived long enough in these ruins for the creatures to desecrate it. Could this have been done intentionally here in her once holy place? She also look at the other possible religious items lying about to see what their significance is here. Knowledge Religion (identifying the other religious objects): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Khismia gasps as she sees Hale jump and dangle precariously from the atrocious chandelier. She runs closer to be ready to help Hale when she falls, ignoring that Hale shouted out a warning “Please be careful up there!” , watching Hale carefully as she also wants the chandelier to be destroyed, though didn’t expect it to be done this way.

I was just waiting to see if Amar changes his mind with the new info, as that might influence what I do, but here I go Khismia will move to the side, trying to stay out of combat and safe as she keeps a close eye on the fighting making sure to be able to react if someone gets hurt. Her attention only wanders for a short while as she watches Azh fly through the sky. Khismia will be in full defensive

As Khismia walks into the chamber she looks in awe at the remaining statues, imagining what the place must have looked like years ago, gladded that some trace of the pilgrims remained.
Her gaze end on the stele and as she reads the name carved she wonders who was the brave soul that faced an unholy spirit here.

During the trip to the monastery Khismia tries to remember what they told her at the church about this monastery, maybe how it started, what it was used for or any ideas on why it has fallen.
Khismia looks at the building to see if there is any deliberate defacing of the symbols of Sarenrae. If it is difficult to see from this distance then she will check again once closer.
Female Human, Keleshite Oracle of Life
Khismia is all too eager to go to the monastery knowing that Sarenrae would want it to be restored. She is also delighted to bring Rombard back to the herder. Before she goes to bed she tells Rombard to stay safe. Being worn out from all the events from last night she only wakes up when Hale pounces her. She’s at first groggy, but soon realises the sun is already up. She frantically gets her mat ready for her morning prayer in which she thanks Sarenrae for the day and the opportunity to help her monastery. After the ritual she gets ready to go.

"I doubt it was an accident even though I would hate to blame anyone for his death. If it was just some candles that fell over then surely Eloais would have tried to find help, but there is no sign of that. It is as if he was either dead before the fire or he instantly died in the fire. I heard from Trevvis that Eloais wanted to do a reading after dinner and that is why he was in the wagon. Lady Almah, do you have any idea what answers he was seeking? "

Khismia is shocked by the sudden and unexpected death of the misfortunate creature. Khismia asks someone to please lead the goat off to camp and she stays with Romo, waiting for him to be done with the pugwampi. After he is done she will check if the pugwampi was suffering from any other ailments before its death. Heal roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 After that she will say a few prayers and close the creature’s eyes before she heads back to camp.

Khismia will get up and keep on running; she can’t let something bad happen to someone just because she is scared of scrapes and thorns. There will be some other time to take care of that. Balance roll 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Female Human, Keleshite Oracle of Life
Khismia blushes at the suggestion and commend Trevvis and Kallien on their bravery. She explains that Lady Almar wants her and the others to figure out how the fire started and if they had any ideas how this could have happened. She is taking care not to bias them to thinking it was or was not an accident. She also asks who else they would recommend she should talk to, someone that was outside and not in a wagon during dinner, that perhaps could have seen more. Lastly she asks is there is anything else she could do for them.

When Khismia finds the skeleton she kneels next to it and prays to Sarenrae, asking her to light his path so he will not fall to darkness in spite of the circumstances of his death. After she investigated the skeleton and could not tell much by just those remains she looks at the rest of the wagon. She wonders why he did not try to escape the wagon. It does not seem as if he was asleep and he was in the middle of the wagon, thus not trying to exit. So either he was helpless for some reason or it happened too fast. She looks for anything inside that could have started the fire, an accident with alchemical supplies or such. She does not know much about alchemical supplies thus anything that looks like such supplies she will assume is flammable. Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Female Human, Keleshite Oracle of Life
Khismia is saddened by the tragedy that befell Eloais and so far from his homeland. Khismia asks Almar how she could help with the service for him. If there is a corpse left Khismia will investigate the body to see how he died, was he dead before the fire or did he die in the fire.
Once she is done with that she will join the others to try and find out how this happened, mainly by talking to the people in the camp and asking about the events before the fire and anything odd that they might have seen. She keeps a gentle tone and helping people remember details.

Upon hearing that the fire has already claimed victims, Khismia rushes towards where Amar indicated the patients are. She heads to the untended woman first to makes sure she is in a stable condition (cast stabilize) then she proceeds to check what additional care the woman needs.
She assumes the red-headed Halfling knows what he is doing, but if she sees him struggle and her patient is stable she will lend a hand there as well.

Khismia rushes over to where the fire is and gets to work extinguishing the fire. With a quick gesture a small downpour of water appears over a part of the fire. She realises she can’t extinguish all of the flames but she can work in such a way as to prevent further spreading.

Khismia finds Amar’s excitement contagious and tells Amar about some of the items she has seen in the market, like little camel statues that can come to life. Then Khismia turns to Romo, “ I myself am here on a search for answers, for my sister. Maybe…” Khismia pauses for a second, unsure if she wants to hear the same answer again, “have you heard of a girl called Haleen? She is my sister and she disappeared a few months ago.” She looks at Romo with big hopeful eyes.

Khismia happily helps everyone get their share of food. Once everyone is sitting down around the fire she opens the conversation by introducing herself as Khismia and asking how the others have experienced the trip so far. She adds that she has never travelled far outside of Katapesh before and that she finds the sights of the dunes breathtaking. This cheery girl looks as if she can't be older than 17 .She has dark brown hair and a lightly tanned complexion. She is currently wearing a rather plain red robe with red patterns painted on her face, marking her as a servant of Sarenrae. Her amber eyes glitter as she waits to hear what tales the others have. She seems to be genuinely interested and not just asking to be polite. Khismia jumps at first when she notices the scorpion, wanting to let out a warning, but then sees that Amar is conscious of the creature’s presence and seems to not be scared of it, quite the opposite.

"...And I will take the West entrance. It is a hole in the roof of the building. The Drow probably use levitation to be able to use this entrance, but at least the Dretches will be stuck in the building itself. When I first found this building it was while following Razorhorn's trail, though we have not seen his shadow cloaking this building for a while. What I would give to have a confrontation with that beast and kill it."

About an hour later you can hear Derrin’s voice outside as he is chatting to someone. The tent’s flaps are held open and Shalelu enters then Derrin. Shalelu glances at the patients and sighs heavily. Derrin places his hand on her shoulder comfortingly then points to where the party is helping the wounded. She walks up to you: “Derrin here told me you would like my advice for your activities in the city tomorrow. You might not know but Eviana is planning something big. We are having a meeting tonight regarding that. I was actually told to collect your group later to join the discussions. |
