I located the Mythic Spell Combat and Mythic Spell Strike the are in Spheres of Power so I don't think they apply in the rules forum here they are. Mythic Spell Combat
Mythic Spellstrike
Derklord if you don't need to use a hand to cast a somatic component your hand is free as it is not being used to cast a portion of the spell. Still spell and component freedom are totally different Still spell is a metamagic spell that for a penalty of one higher spell slot allows you to for go a somatic component. Component freedom eliminates having to use somatic components completely if you have chosen somatic component so by default your hand not on your sword is free. Soory for my tardy reply I got locked out of posting when my computer rebboted and would not let me log back into the message board till just now. According to Hero Lab there is a mythic version of Spell combat but I have not been able to find it nay where so I am unsure if it exsists.
I think that one of the best late game buffs is, Heart of the Mammoth
That makes no sense to me Avr, if thats the case no latter rule would supercede a earlier published rule. Even a specific rule like the sentence in spell combat. Component freedom means you do not have to use those components when casting a spell. Still spells are far different than component freedom still spells are metamagic spells that affect spell levels where component freedom eliminates the need for spell component completely with out any penalty.
I think you guys have it wrong. First you would take off the damage from resist or protection from energy of because the two do not stack. so if at max you took off 120 points of the 150 points you would take 30 points if you failed your reflex save and 15 points if you made your save. Say a rogue with evasion made his save he would take 75 points of damage and that would all be dissipated by the 120 points of protection from energy fire leaving the rogue 45 points of fire protection for the dragons next breath weapon attack. If a 10th level rogue with improved evasion made his save he would take no damage and have 120 points of Protection from energy for the dragons next breath weapon attack.
Fortify Bond (Su): At 4th level, a soul forger may spend 1 point from his arcane pool to increase the hardness and hit points of his bonded item by an amount equal to his magus level. These hit points last until expended or until the soul forger next prepares spells. Multiple uses of this ability overlap and do not stack. This ability replaces spell recall. In Fortify Bond does the increase of his bonded weapons hardness stack with the hardness from a special material like adamintine that gives a weapon 20 hardness?
This is a question on spell combat Spell combat states that even if the spell does not have somatic components you must have a hand free. Spell Combat (Ex): At 1st level, a magus learns to cast spells and wield his weapons at the same time. This functions much like two-weapon fighting, but the off-hand weapon is a spell that is being cast. To use this ability, the magus must have one hand free (even if the spell being cast does not have somatic components), while wielding a light or one-handed melee weapon in the other hand. As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this spell also takes this penalty). If he casts this spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Intelligence bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. If the check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty. A magus can choose to cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon attacks. My question is if the Magus is Mythic and has component freedom [Somatic] his spells no longer require somatic components. does this override the first part of the spellstrike rule that is bolded? If not why not?
Does a Mythic Arcane caster able to cast w/o Verbal, somatic or material components casting while using improved invisability still generate little magic motes while casting? I do not think he does. I think you guys are reading things into blind sense that are not there. I do not see how blind sense overcomes 3 feats. [Still, Silent eschew components] Blind sense might give a monster the chance to detect the moving of the component of a fireball spell but not where the caster is. |
