I have this guy who I really like; we got to the 2nd adventure in the AP before the game died. He's a high-Int elf with the concept that his line of elves in Osirion are like the medjai in The Mummy- they venerate the ancestors, preserve the tombs, and protect the artifacts in the name of the pharoah. So he'd be joining the lottery to destroy monsters that could harm the tombs and to make sure the group he joins doesn't do too much wanton damage. I think he also had a vague secondary goal of wanting to retrieve a certain artifact that we never nailed down.
OK Captain Average. Str 8, Int 18, Cha 11, +1 everything else. I can work with that. Diviner Wizard, lots of Knowledge skills, also takes the Trap Finder trait and specs toward item crafting as he levels up.
I'll rebuild the sheet to modernize it since I made him a really long time ago.

I need to apologize. I've been overseas every other week for work since July. I was hoping to be able to keep up with the game but didn't even have the energy to check my personal email for the past few months. That part phase of the project is done now and I am back to a normal schedule again starting this week.

So these 2 were guarding a gate into the harbor district? The map of Wati doesn't show a harbor district by that name- are we entering The Veins?
This is kind of fluff, but is there a way to insure dead bodies don't rise as zombies or other undead? With this necro energy everywhere, DJ would be worried about that kind of thing right now.

I'm on board with checking out the Grand Mausoleum asap. I'm sure we're going to hate it if mummies and tekenus- both above our APL- are the equivalent of a wandering monster in whatever event is going on, but I want to see what's up.

DJ is honestly tapped out. He's used most of his useful scrolls and all of his combat-relevant memorized spells. From here until we can rest he's going to be throwing acid and shooting arrows (badly). Just FYI.

Djehuti barks out the words on the scroll and a thick, oily black smoke billows up from all around him to fill the street. "Go, go!"
Silent Image of black smoke filling the street from side to side. He gets 9 10' cubes, so he can put the smoke right in front of the monster and cover the party so we can escape.

I was hoping it hadn't noticed us yet. I don't want to attack it if we're going to run. He's got a Silent Image scroll he could use but it's a surprise round so he doesn't get a move and a standard, only one or the other. Grr.
He'll pull out his Silent Image scroll so he can use it when he gets a standard action. He wants to cast an image of black smoke to choke the street around the party so they can get away.
Djehuti quickly pulls a scroll from his scroll case as he urges his companions to back away. "Back away, find us a way around. I will cover us."

Most of the other buyers cleared out, but where did they go? And are the items on sale still present or were they given to the buyers immediately after they were purchased? I'm trying to figure out if we can look around and find something a mummy might rise from its tomb to recover.

Luckily for Torin and the Uncanny Jackal, DJ only had 3 vials of Alchemist's Fire. DJ threw one, then Koshu and Kwin, so he was out before Torin got around to it. He had flasks of acid left, though.

DJ has 4 acids ands 3 alchemists' fires. If he double moves he can get to Torin, Koshu, and Kwin. DM, if he can get adjacent could a PC use a Move action to take an item from him then throw it with their Standard?
Alternatively, if they can't take an item from him as a Move, can he use his Mage Hand gloves to pass out 2 items if he doesn't move?

Assuming it tanks DJ's Control Undead, yeah. A mummy would be a decent encounter at our level even with full resources. DM managed to fake us out with the mooks and "screwed" seems about right.
This will make DJ want to pick up Craft Wand or something to make sure he doesn't get caught out like this again, but beyond one Ear Piercing Scream he doesn't have much to contribute to the rest of this fight.

Djehuti moves to the doorway, pulling out a scroll as he goes. He quickly chants out the words to throw out another man-sized sphere of flame to roll over the incoming severed hands.
He'll use his scroll of Flaming Sphere, casting it in the doorway in front of him to make sure they can't just swarm over him. Then he'll roll it straight toward the swarm.

Djehuti calls out a warning almost before the scaffolding collapses, but not quick enough to warn the unfortunate two guests. He rushes forward to start pulling rocks off the buried guests.
I considered using Unseen Servant to help, but its Str is so low it would barely help in this situation.

Not sure which one of those two was previously hurt by the Sphere, but DJ will target that one with it again. Move action to move, second move action to control the Sphere.

Yeah, I think the only things worth buying here would be magic weapons, armor, or wands. DJ can make everything else for a lot less. Usually groups I've seen tend to rely on what they loot, but if we think we'll be buying a lot of magic weapons and armor, he can even take the feat at level 5.

Belt of Giant Strength always helps, Kwin. And who'd say no to a Cloak of Resistance or a Handy Haversack?
DJ doesn't have Craft Magical Arms & Armor, so he can't help with the rapier. I can have him take it next level if we're interested in him enchanting weapons and armor, though.
