Devora will look at Flynn, she nods in agreement. She then tells Father Zantus about the situation. Father Zantus reminds Flynn and Devora that at least one other Stone Giant fled from the attack, so Father Zantus is also in agreement that a deal should be made to seek as much information as possible.

Devora will whisper to Flynn, "I will try to keep the other Stone Giants occupied, while you gather the one you wish to interrogate."

The Pathfinder moves in front of the sitting Stone Giants, she pulls out a flute and begins to play. But this does nothing to distract the Stone Giants.

The one that is clearly the leader warns the one that Flynn gathers to not betray them.

This does not stop Flynn and Devora from taken one of the injured Stone Giants out of the Garrison and over to the central courtyard of the Sandpoint Cathedral.

Flynn and Devora will be met by Father Zantus. The Inquisitor and Pathfinder explain what they are doing. The Padre nods and helps Flynn and Devora to negotiate the tall humanoid to the central courtyard. It is a good thing that this newer Cathedral has ample headroom.

Overhearing Brandark, Devora comments, "Here in Sandpoint it is doubtful. Even in Magnimar it is unlikely. But there are Wizards in Korvosa that may could accomplish what you ask. The Acadamae in Korvosa is the nearest great institution of magical learning. Not only is it a trip, but it would likely be expensive. And I have no idea how much. It is rumored that they have created great ships that sail upon the wind. If they can do that, then they can make a horse fly, and they could probably turn a horse into a horsefly too." Devora gives Brandark a wink.

Essentially, you would need to visit The Acadamae in Korvosa to accomplish what you ask.

Devora continues her epic poem, and sees the giant over the Estate's wall. Her range is short and the Pathfinder takes advantage of this. She pulls a magic arrow from her quiver and sends the arrow sailing over the estate's roof.

The Pathfinder Bard looks at the Inquisitor, "How would we follow it?" Devora then follows Flynn.

It appears the dragon's breath weapon did little damage to the massive stone structure that is the Sandpoint Cathedral.

Devora dismounts and shakes her head at the dragon high above, "It will take a great shot to hit the dragon". She pulls out her shortbow and begins again to recite her epic poem.

Brandark and Flynn get a +2 on your damage and attacks.

Devora dismounts her horse while loudly continuing her epic poem.

Brandark, Elektra, Flynn and Stone will be able to benefit from Devora's inspiration. (+2 Attack and Damage).

Devora pulls a magic arrow to see if that can make a difference at this longer range for her Darkwood Composite Shortbow against the charging Stone Giant.

Devora will look over at Flynn and shrug, "I can't fly." She then follows Brandark and Stone toward the south. She then looks back at Flynn, "Come. Let's free these good people of Sandpoint. Then we will deal with that Dragon."

Round Eleven

Devora moves south and next to Stone as she continues her Epic Poem. She then hesitates taking stock in Brandark and Severo's attacks against the Dire Bear and Stone Giant.

Stone and Brandark will be able to take advantage of Devora's Inspire Courage.

Devora will take a move action then hesitate with her Standard Acton. She shift her action until after Severo.

Devora takes a five foot step and gets partial cover from a nearby building. Then. as she continues her epic poem, unleashes a volley of arrows at the third Dire Bear. All of which, find their target.

Devora looks back at the Inquisitor. Then maintaining her now lilting poem, she add some of poor Sandpoint's history in the mix in light of Flynn's comments. Devora dismounts from her horse. She then takes aim with her bow and fires it at the first Stone Giant, taking cover along the corner of a building. The shot was just enough to stick into the hardened Stone Giant's flesh.

Devora never stops reciting her epic poem, it start to take on a more lilting quality of a song as her prose turns into rhymes. She rides up near Brandark, Severo and Stone.

With all three of you going after Devora in the initiatives, you all may take the benefit of Devora's Inspire Courage. +2 to hit and to damage.

With the mist shrouding around her, the Pathfinder smiles, moves around Orik and against the east tower's wall. She then fires an arrow at the uninjured second Stone Giant all the while continuing her epic poem. (25/29)

Devora enters the West Tower, climbs to the wall level, and moves to a position near Orik and above where the Lost Coast Road enters Sandpoint. All the while the Pathfinder Bard continues to recite her epic poem.

The Pathfinder listens to everyone's suggestions, "Scouting is a good idea, but if we are scouting in one direction and the attack comes from another then we would not be here to defend the town." She ponders the situation, "Elektra's Prying Eyes can give us a heads up the direction they are coming in, or at least for much of the day. Then we can respond as a group to where ever the threat is coming from. I don't like the idea of splitting up."

Devora notices Flynn looking down tunnels steeply declining into the bowels of the mountain, "Yes. I am curious too. What great stories are awaiting down there. But we must go to sleepy Sandpoint. The good citizens there will need us. Come on..."

With the Circle of Protection on the Pathfinder, Devora moves up keeping Flynn within the Circle. She pulls out one of her magic arrows and fires it at the dragon.

To Hit: Base +5, Dex +4, Bow +2, Arrow, +1, Deadly Aim -2, Inspire Courage +2, Haste +1, Cat's Grace +2, Blessing of Fervor +2 (+17). Damage: Bow +2, Arrow +1, Deadly Aim +4, Inspire +2 (+9).

Devora is both excited and apprehensive about the prospects of taking on a Dragon. After a good night's sleep, and a breakfast of fresh eggs, cooked mushrooms, bacon, and the stimulating brewed black wine, Devora calls out "I am as ready as I will ever be."

The owner of the tavern informs the party that their stay has already been settled.

"Choices? Do we rush to Sandpoint? Or do we take on a Dragon?" Devora questions without expecting an answer.

"If we rush to Sandpoint, then the Gnomes of the Sanos may be doomed to the fate of this Dragon. But if we fight the Dragon then Sandpoint could be run over by Giants. Which is the more imminent threat? To bad we couldn't just pop up at Sandpoint and see what the situation is there?"

"No problem Flynn. Too bad we don't have that dead Stone Giant. I do look forward to seeing how that works the next time," Devora smiles and finishes packing her stuff to get going again.

Devora will speak up again, "I don't like the idea of carrying around the body of Lamatar Bayden. Let us go first to this fay creature, then up to the Hook, then to that fishing village. What do you say?"

"Interesting. I would like to see how that works," Devora looks at Flynn.

Devora listens to Brandark and Stone, the inner hearth at Fort Rannick is warm, and the thoughts of venturing out in the cold this quickly was not what she wanted to hear. But, Devora knows that there are task to be done. "The body of Lamater Bayden is ripe. Stone is there something you could do?"

She thinks of getting at least one more night's sleep, "Let us leave at first light." The Bard begins to hum her new melody. She begins to add words from her poem to the song.

Devora drinks the hot spicy mead and then turns in for the night.

Maybe next time she will have a Bud Light. Dilly! Dilly!

After a few hours of shut-eye, Devora is wandering about Fort Rannick singing this time the praises of the Heroes. She has her book and quill with her. She stops occasionally to add to her epic poem humming as she writes another stanza.

Devora has had her adventures, but they were mostly in Magnimar. Fighting the Kreegs and Stone Giants were far more of a challenge than anything else she had experienced. She feels alive, mainly because she still is.

She ponders about the redhead and begins to inquire more and more about this mysterious Lucretia. She gets finer details about Lucretia and her now dead sister Xanesha. She is perplexed at the motivation of these Lamia Matriarchs. What would such ancient and foul creatures be doing? What is their purpose? And why Sandpoint? That is just a fishing village she thinks to herself. And who is this "M"?

Devora offers her advice then peers down toward the unexplored area.
