WAit wait wait.. Since when does a core race have to be GOOD? are you saying playing an evil character isn't a core option!?!?!?!

Well the CRB recommended Cayden Cailean, but I strongly feel goblins would go for Gorum and Calistria too.

Not sure what to think of goblins following Calistria.

"The goblin winks at you seductively." just doesn't sound right.

That description of the flaws of the PF1 swashbuckler suggests a lot of reasons for Paizo to revisit that class and make it better in PF2.

Well to get rid of the flaws, you need a backhoe, some explosives and... well, I'm not sure what's left other than a name: I wonder if there'd going to be enough left of the PF1 class to appeal to those that liked it.

Maybe

But I'm going to be building a Goblin Paladin riding a Warg while I can...

Where'd you get all that dere silver for that armor of yours?

O_O ...

Nowhere!

Goblins can have engineering as long as NO TAKE CANDLE!
You know what... I didn't want a candle before but now that you've said "NO TAKE CANDLE", I now want one... Mmmmmm..... Candle....

!!!... EHhh just you make sure you go for the one underneath the boulder.. the one with the sign that says no take candle... You may have to give it a good tug.

Unrelated question: whatever race you are you have bones and squishy bits that would be damaged by say just out of the blue a giant rock falling on you right? I ask for purely scholarly reasons.

Also unrelated do you keep your silver on your person or like in a sack or something close by?

Really, most of the ability scores in the playtest make no sense.

Golarion dwarves are supposed to be highly personable craftsman. They have a penalty to Charisma and no bonus to Intelligence.

Elves are supposed to be wise mystics that commune with nature while having bodies capable of adapting to almost any environment. Their culture is highly xenophobic. Yet, they have a penalty to Constitution and a bonus to Intelligence.

AND Kobold are much stronger faster tougher smarter wiser and better looking then all the other races so we deserve many many attributes.

@ PossibleCabbage: Hm... Thank you for pointing that out, I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately, none of the mental stats seem to make any sense for the Goblins... I still think it should have been something else, just my two cents anyway.

@ AndIMustMask & Arachnofiend: Actually, considering that Half-Elves and Half-Orcs are a heredity trait instead of an actual race, I was thinking that having an Orc Race would be something cool too. Maybe +2 Str +2 Wis, -2 Int like you suggested. Brute and boorish, but keen instincts with survival.

@ AndIMustMask: Love the picture btw, LMAO.

@ Paradozen & graystone: Going to have to side with graystone on this one.

@ Definitely NOT a certain Kobold: I would love to see a Kobalt with +2 Dex, +2 Wis, -2 Int skittering around everywhere.

(Edit)
@ DanceYrself: I agree with this statement.

No no we kobold definitely need +4 all attributes.

Not to me. At all. I don't find that creature that joke while setting my dog on fire funny. :P

The part of the goblin section that stands out to me is "their reputation across the Inner Sea region has changed little." As such, everyone still sees them as those -2cha bastards they always have been.

They need to face it. It should of been us kobolds.

I say CHR for kobold cause of their relation to dragons.
For me, I'd say Int. They are "hardworking, clever, and blessed with a natural talent for mechanical devices and mining" along with a "profound sense of inadequacy". To me that says +int and -cha. For me, the relationship to dragons would be better off as a heritage like Dragon Affinity from pathfinder classic that treats their Cha higher for the draconic bloodline and kobold bloodline.

But We so Cute!

I think Kobolds should get +4 str dex con int wis chr!

Sure, evil and antiheroic campaigns have their place, but stuff for those kinds of games don't belong in core, IMO.

It's a specific genre niche like horror or intrigue, and should be in a splat.

I am SOOOOO going to steal your silver and replace it with valueless metal.

Seriously a setting where humans are the paramount of good would be weird for me... I don't think I could take it seriously

And I've had some rather weird settings until now

Well, it was more about goblins being more monstrous in certain settings, never tolerated by humans, elves, and such.

In Dragonlance they tied the original races of Krynn to an alignment: Elves = Good, Humans = Neutral, Irda/Ogres = Evil, that had interesting implications.

Was alignment in DL a set thing or a thing of perspective? (I'm having trouble finding the right words here, bear with me).

What I mean is that were elves Good with a capital G, or we're they simply good based on the cultural opinions of the most populous rsces? Did the Orgres see themselves as Evil with a capital E, or did they believe they were the good ones and the humans/elves we're the bad ones?

I guess it's a question of moral relativity vs objective morality within the setting.

(This doesn't really have anything to do with the discussion, I was just curious).

Kobolds good with capital K!
Kobolds good with Ketchup.

Yes we can aim bottles of Ketchup really well!

Kobolds are most good! we never do evil things except occasionally steal things like silver, and candles and, babies.

But its more like a trade we leave things behind like fake silver.

If were gonna let humans in core I say we let goblins too. Its only fair. Humans are a way eviler race then gobbers.

Just need them to put kobolds as core as well.
