Is there any traits or feats that allow you to use your Charisma on Spellcrafting checks?

I know some class features like Pagent of the Peacock does it, but I am looking specifically for feats or traits.

Alright I am FINALLY getting to play Starfinders and it is Dark Suns. I am super excited. The problem is I have no idea what I want to play. The party currently is going to have a Mechanic (Drone), a Ghost Operative and a Technomancer.

Right now I am torn between playing a Envoy or a Soldier. The party lacks both a face and a front line combat type. What I am asking is can someone sell me on one of these two classes?

Alright folks I was invited to join a Underdark campaign that is running later today. I have decide to play a character focused on enchantment spells and mind control. The party alignment is neutral leaning towards the dark side...so for once in my life I can play an evil character. Taking that into account what the best Enchantment currently (outside of Kitsune Sorc.)

Hi folks, A friend of mine is looking to play a Paladin in an up coming starfinder campaign i am running. The character is a previous character he played in an old Pathfinder game in a campaign I ran that was lost in time. I know Starfarers has a conversion class. I have heard a lot of bad things about the book but nothing about the Paladin itself. Is the class any good or does it suck too? Has anyone come across any other versions?
Please note I am strictly asking about the Paladin class. This is due to storyline/backstory reasons. The player is willing to switch to other classes if need be but would prefer to play a Paladin. So please don't waste my time and your own telling me about Starfinder core options he can play instead or that I shouldn't allow him to do this.

Recently I have been trying to join a new pathfinder game online. One common theme I have found for each game, no matter the style, is that the Occult classes are all banned. Can some one explain why this is? Are the classes really all that broken?

Hey Folks,
I recently joined a new roll20 campaign. The GM is running the updated version Curse of the Crimson Throne. After much internal debating I have decide to go with an Aasimar Spirit-Walker Mesmerist. I am playing a deceiver/manipulator, focusing mainly on the roleplaying aspect. I want to be effective in combat but I don't feel like it should be my main focus. The feats I plan on taking are as follows:

1-Decietful
3-Conceal Spell
5-Spell Focus Enchantment
7-Leadership
9-Greater Spell Focus (Ench.)
12-Extend Stare
15-Reflective Gaze
17-Spell Pen

I was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice? How does my feats look? Is there any other feats that counts as Deceitful for the purpose of Prerequisite?

Alright folks so I recently joined a new Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign and I have decide I want to play an enchantment/illusionist/debuff specialist. I am hoping to make this character decent in combat but have a heavier focus on the role playing aspect of the game. Right now I am looking at either playing a Dreamweaver Witch or a Mesmerist. The numbers I rolled for stats are 8, 13, 14, 12, 15, 13.

Honestly however it been so long since I have been on this side of the table I have no clue on what I am doing. Any of you have any words of wisdom? Aka if you where building character that specialized in enchantment spells what would you build?

Alright, so one of my players is playing a Aasmir paladin and is being a bit raunchy about it. He literally is flirting with every sentient with every sentient NPC they meet, turned a fair amount of situation into sex jokes and has repeatedly groped his teammates (when he uses lay on hands).

Nothing he done has triggered a fall as far as I am concerned. One of the aspects the deity he follows is in fact "fertility and sex." I am just wondering if there is any archetypes you guys think would accurately represent an "errotic" paladin beside Channel Variants.

Alright folks so with Starfinder coming out and my game being all about magic and technology. I am having a reality shift take place in game (due to the outside forces messing with the the higher arch of the divine) and changing from Pathfinder to Starfinder. While one of my players is rebuilding his character's class the other two have decide to stick with there original classes. That mean's I've got a Dark Sister witch and an alchemist I need to convert. The witch is getting an updated spell list, hex list and a boost to her bab but otherwise staying the same. At least that the plan.
I am not sure how I should update/balance the alchemist and was wondering if any of you had any advice.

Alright a real simple (maybe stupid question.) When a PC takes damage that would knock him unconscious does he take the full damage or stop at -1. For example a character is at 5hp. He takes 11 damage. Does that mean he drops to -1 or -6 hp?

Also a character dies if his to drops below the negative of his con score right? Aka if a charactetr has only 10 con if he drops below -10 he is dead..right?

So one of my players wants to play a Vizier from Dreamscarred Press. I've only taken a quick look at them and am still on the fence. I know Dreams cared typically makes decent stuff but how do you all feel about them? More importantly how do you feel about the Vizier. Tell me is it overpowered, underpowered, balenced, are mechanics good, what?

Alright recently I have been invited to join a pathfinder game. I am a little hesident about joining but I am itching for some good old pathfinder fun. The game is in need of a healer (which to me translate to a support type character...since healing as a primary focus is sub-optimal at best.) Which is fine I love supports....battle field control and debuffing/buffing is my jam. Right now I am leaning towards a Mesmerist...cause I always wanted to play one but I thought that I'd ask around and see what other players think are good support class. A couple things to take of note.....

-The current party has a Rouge and some sort of caster (Wizard I think)
-Magic items are VERY rare and crafting feats are flat out banned.
-No more then one arcane caster is allowed in the party and the role been already filled. (so bard is out)
-Twenty Five point buy and starting at level 8
-Supposedly rp focused.
-Oh and cant be evil!

Yeah, so I am trying to remember is there any type of spell out there that gives you a free pass on a Concentration check?

Essentially I am trying to figure out how to cast a spell while concentrating on another spell....with out accessing metamagic quicken.

So recently I've been asked by a friend to help teach him how to play Pathfinder. My response was to set him up with several friends I know who are starting a pathfinder game using modified PFS rules. Main differents is item creation feats are allowed....in limitation.

The thing is my friend wants me to join with him and I am dead out of inspiration. I'd like to play a Juju oracle but it cause to much inter-party conflicts. (one of the few members in the group that I don't get along with in rL is playing a pally.)

Anyways I need some ideas on what to play. The party currently has a Life Oracle (healer), a pally, a monk and a wizard/gunslinger hybrid (not a spellslinger). My friend is probably playing a skill-monkey like a rouge or a investigator.

but I have no idea what to play....any ideas?
The party is starting at level 1 and has a 25 point buy.

p.s. the game mostly centered around the inner sea.

Hi so I've got a couple of questions revolving around the intimidate skill.

First things first, I am trying to remember the name of a feat that gives you a free extra attack when you hit an enemy that is shaken. I think it a monsture feat but I am not sure.

Second question, is there any class/feat/item in the game (beside being a Anti-paladin) that allows you to demoralize undead creatures? (and no a cleric turn undead won't work for this)

Yeah so I am planning on building a Gunslinger for an up coming Pathfinder game. The campaign is set in a undead heavy world and I want to play as a effective sniper.

What are some ways that I can block lifesense while hiding?

p.s. Hide from Undead as is doesn't cut it...so don't bother suggesting it.

So I recently joined a new PF home-brewed campaign. I am starting off at level 8, the rest of the party is level 8 through 10. Currently they have a duel-wielding Rogue, a blasty sorc, a generic alchemist, an oracle, a mystic theurge and a newly joined Warpriest.

The group is clearly in desperately in need of a front line fighter type. I been looking at both Bloodrager and Brawler as two possibilities...but cant pick which one to play. (They are both good front line tanks and are both very shiny)

Any suggestions, build ideas or advice would be welcome.

Oh btw we are using dice generated ability scores. I rolled a 17,16,16,14,15,15. (in front of the GM and another player)

So I am about to join a Homebrewed urban pathfinder Drow campaign that focus on the goings on of the Underdark city Menzoberranzan. My friend is DMing it and has given use the heads up that this game is going to be a heavy focus on roleplaying and puzzle solving, and less of a focus on combat. I know that there will be four of use in the game but I’ve only talked to one other player. He going to be playing a Drow Investigator.

I for one am was thinking about playing a Drow sorc. specializing in enchantment/mind control spells and using my own homebrewed prc (that the GM already approved). I’ll post the link down below if anyone wants to take a look at it but all you really need to know is that the cap ability allows you effect sentient creatures that are normally immune to mind affecting spells.

However before I make my final choose I’d thought I’d way my options. My GM has recently told me that he is allowing 3pp, as long as it goes along with the theme and he still gets final say. Unfortently I am not 100% familiur with all the 3pp material out there so I’d thought I’d ask you all. Is there any class out there in the pathfinder universe that is better suited at mind control than that of a sorcerer? (beside psions)

(I am also looking a 3pp spells, feats and items if anyone has any suggestions)

Enchantment Spinner (Homebrewed PrC I am useing)
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?336108-PrC-Enchantment-Spinne r-please-PEACH&p=17152044#post17152044

Way back in D&D 3.5 a persisting class known as Nightmare Spinner was published in one of it "Complete" series book. This class was a focus for an illusion specialist caster. What alot of people missed zat the time (or choose to ignore) was the fact with in the fluff of the class was a line stating that it could be adapted to an Enchantment Spinner and that through this means a enchantment caster could in fact over come mind affecting immunity.

I have always personally been a major fan of the enchantment school, despite is sub-optimal nature. While pathfinder has improved the school in some aspect, it is still often considered the weakest of the schools. I have decided to adapted the Enchantment Spinner to Pathfinder, as a way of improving the schools mobility with out making it to overly powerful. Please note this is only vary loosely based off of the Nightmare spinner and is not an exact adoptions.

Unfortunately Paizo does not allow the amount of formatting I like to use when posting a homebrew. So instead I have posted the actually build and class feature on Giant in the Play Ground and posted a link bellow this. Please review the class and make all the suggestions you can think of either on this thread or the gitp thread.

So I've recently been invited to join a pathfinder campaign near where I am currently living and I cannot settle on what to play.
The party is level 12 with a Fighter/Rouge specializing in longswords, a combat focused dwarven monk and a Oracle focusing on control with a little healing.
They also have a dervish-dance bard, but the player is out most of the time due to collage stuff.

The GM and players have clearly told me they need an arcanist/walking-text-book. Which is fine with me, I like playing int based characters.

The problem is now I am like a kid in a candy shop, I can't decide what I want to play exactly.
On the one hand a straight wizard seems to fit the pill perfectly but I hate being completely reliant on spells.
Another option is a witch, that has some spells but also can mess up the opponents with Hexes.
The third option I have thought of is a Fighter/Wizard/eldritch knight/AA. Sure I'd loss three cL but at least I'd have an alternative attack should I run out of spells.

BTW I already rolled my stats. They are 16,16,14,15,16,12.

.....sooo Paizo community what do you all think I should do?

p.s. both Magus and Gunslinger (guns in general are banned)

Alright I recently joined a new Pathfinder game.

I am coming in a bit late.
All the players are currently level 3.
There is a Monk, a Paladin and a Wizard.
None of them have archetypes or specialization.
I was going to come in as a witch...but I just found out that the GM wants only core class and race (archetypes however are allowed.)
Now I have no idea what to play....
I need inspiration/advice...what would you play if you where in my situation?
Ability are rolled out (god save our souls)

Feats and other stuff can be from any of the main five books...Core, Adv. Player, Ult Magic, Ult Combat and Equipment Guide.

No Guns allowed.

P.S. Also should posted this in General Discussion instead?

So I'm making a Kitsune Sorc. focusing in the enchantment school...cause the +1/4 to enchantment DC is just awesome.
Anyways....I am trying to decide what bloodline to choose. Right now I'm looking at four different Bloodlines.
Arcane, Fey, Undead and Serpentine.
All there features seem really nice.
Should I use crossblood for two of these Bloodlines?

I am about to join a Pathfinder game. My character is starting at lvl 2 and I cannot decide what to make.
Currently the party make up is magus, alchemist, cleric, wizard, and psion.
What do you all think would complement the party well?

p.s. Don't give me "play what you feel like" line. I 'feel' like something that works well with the party.

About Torin Argentus

Attacks:

Unarmed Strike: +5 to hit / 1d6+6 / 20x2 / B
Flurry of Blows: +5 and +5 to hit / 1d6+6 and 1d6+4 / 20x2 / B
Sling: +2 to hit / 1d4+4 / 20x2 / B / 50 Ft.

His trait increases damage when he has been struck by an enemy. His first unarmed strike of a round will apply strength and a half to damage due to dragon style.

Defense:

HP: 15/15 (1d10 [Max 1st] + 1 Con, +1 FC, +3 Feat)
Fort: +3 (2 base, 1 stat) Ref: +3 (2 base, 1 stat) Will: +0 (0 base, 0 stat)
AC: 14 (10 base, 1 Dex, 0 armor, 0 dodge, 3 misc)
Flatfooted: 10
Touch: 14
CMD: 16 (10 base, 1 BAB, 4 Str, 1 Dex)

Traits:

Athletic Champion: Your physique and skill brought
you into the public eye, and a winning smile helps you
stay there. Taldor honors its extraordinary athletes,
celebrating them as cultural heroes. Whether you were
a gladiator, a runner, a wrestler, or any other competitor,
your most recent victory caused someone important to
sit up and take notice. You may never have a political
career in front of you, but for now your name is helping
to bring a little extra money in, and maybe that’s good
enough. Select two of the following skills: Climb,
Diplomacy*, Perception*, and Swim. You gain a +1 trait
bonus on checks with those skills, and they are always
class skills for you. In addition, you are accustomed to
maneuvering through crowds; you gain a +2 trait bonus
on checks to navigate through a crowd or resist being
moved against your will, including spells and bull rush,
drag, and reposition combat maneuvers.

* Choosing Diplomacy & Perception

Vengeful: Whenever you strike the last creature that damaged you in the past 24 hours, you gain a +1 trait bonus on damage rolls against that creature.

Feats:

Toughness *1st Level*: You gain +3 hit points. For every Hit Die you possess beyond 3, you gain an additional +1 hit point. If you have more than 3 Hit Dice, you gain +1 hit points whenever you gain a Hit Die (such as when you gain a level).

Dragon Style *Scaled Fist 1st bonus*:While using this style, you gain a +2 bonus on saving throws against sleep effects, paralysis effects, and stunning effects. You ignore difficult terrain when you charge, run, or withdraw. You can also charge through squares that contain allies. Further, you can add 1-1/2 times your Strength bonus on the damage roll for your first unarmed strike on a given round.

Improved Unarmed Strike *Scaled Fist*:You are considered to be armed even when unarmed—you do not provoke attacks of opportunity when you attack foes while unarmed. Your unarmed strikes can deal lethal or nonlethal damage, at your choice.

Stunning Fist *Scaled Fist*: You must declare that you are using this feat before you make your attack roll (thus, a failed attack roll ruins the attempt). Stunning Fist forces a foe damaged by your unarmed attack to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier), in addition to dealing damage normally. A defender who fails this saving throw is stunned for 1 round (until just before your next turn). A stunned character drops everything held, can’t take actions, loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, and takes a –2 penalty to AC. You may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (but see Special), and no more than once per round. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits cannot be stunned.

A monk may attempt a stunning attack a number of times per day equal to his monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels he has in classes other than monk.

Skills:

Acrobatics (DEX): 5(Ranks 1, Mod 1, class skill 3)
Diplomacy (CHA): 8 (Ranks 1, Mod 3, class skill 3, trait 1)
Intimidate(CHA): 8 (Ranks 1, Mod 4, class skill 3)
Knowledge [Arcana] (INT): 1 (Ranks 1, Mod 0)
Knowledge [Nobility] (INT): 1 (Ranks 1, Mod 0)
Perception (WIS): 1 (Ranks 0, Mod 0, class skill 3, trait 1)
Perform [Dance] (CHA): 6 (Ranks 1, Mod 2, class skill 3)

Equipment:

Sling (No weight/cost for one.)
Bullets (10), 1 SP, 5Lbs.
Outfit (Monks), 5 GP, 2 Lbs.
Pouch (Waist), 5 SP, 1/2 Lbs.
Pouch (Belt)x2, 2 GP, 1 Lbs.

0 PP, 53 GP, 4 SP, 10 CP

Torin wears his wider belt pouch in the middle of his back, and it holds small personal items and his spare clothing. His belt pouches rest on his dominant hip (right) and contain his gold and his potions. Sling bullets come with their own pouch and are on his non-dominant hip with the sling itself.

Background:

Torin is the bastard son of a courtesan sorceress. Given as a baby to his monastery he was expected to be raised within the order and live a life of obscurity. However, the designs of one man would change this. Selvid Chaust was previously a Chell mercenary who had abandoned his old life to take up training in the dragon style. Unlike the other monks he was a man of ambition who sought recognition and prestige for his order. His background and his style were both maligned in Taldor, and in this child of draconic bloodline he saw the chance to bring the latter to new prominence. He arranged to be the child's mentor, giving him a name of exotic Elvin origin and dubbing him Torin Argentus so all would be aware of his draconic heritage. Torin was trained away from other monks, given arcane instruction brought in from outside the monastery, and raised with special attention not afforded to others. He was constantly groomed not just to be a powerful warrior, but a shrewd political agent for the order. He was raised to believe that he would embody and showcase the virtues of the dragon style, and that the personal renown and wealth he would garner would be the reward for his training. Always straining against the pressure placed upon him, the monk was all too happy to graduate from his training by winning an athletic competition and proving he could represent his style. Now that he is free to live on his own he finds himself unsure of his place in the world, but he still clings to the self-styled identity of being a prodigy.

Description:

The description of his noble clothes will have to wait until he can manage a proper pair in this campaign, but I would hate to erase the description.

This Taldan man stands at an impressive height of six feet and two inches. His frame is no thicker than a normal man, but he is heavily muscled. He hair is a dull, muted brown that falls down to his ears. A few of his bangs on the left side of his head are parted back and held with a small silver laurel clip. His gray eyes are a strong contrast to his hair, being bright and alert. He wears a sleeveless silk tunic and breeches. The primary color is white with steel colored trim. He wears a fine leather belt with a silver buckle. On his feet he wears open sandals of leather sole and silk cord with silver washed steel beads. Finally, across his left shoulder he wears a steel colored velvet half cloak with the embroidery of a silver dragon head over the shoulder. The clasp has a similar engraving and both the clasp and chain are silver washed.

He wears a similarly colored outfit of plain linen when working or engaging in activities that might ruin his best clothes. The coloration of the trousers and tunic are the same, but it lacks the finery and valuable adornments. The sandals are simple linen cord and tanning leather. The belt is a woolen sash. There is no cloak.
He still wears his hair clip.

Progression and Party Role:
Torin was initially a gestalt character that could pursue a regular scaled fist monk progression and that of a dragonheir scion fighter. I have rebuilt him as an unchained monk scaled fist with the plan to take him into the dragon disciple prestige class. To achieve this he will dip a level in sorcerer somewhere between third and fifth level. Whenever best fits the story. Then take four levels of dragon disciple for it's more martial levels. After that it should be back to monk for the remainder of his progression.

His role in the party should be pretty straightforward. He has social skills and combat skills so that no matter the venue he can hold ground for the group. He definitely is not the scholar or the sneak in a group. Just because his background is a bit sheltered doesn't mean I want to play him as a stupid/silent fighter guy though. I want to play him as eager to endear himself and his strengths to a group, so he would definitely seek to learn from or help others in the party in their own endeavors. Making assist other checks, serving as a distraction for the skill monkey, bull rushing an enemy into a better position for the party, coordinating with the casters to see what magics they like to use and how that might help him. His build and his backstory make party interaction very fruitful. He is all about making connections and establishing himself. He does so for his own good though. He is more ambitious than selfless.

Botting:

General tank and protect others. Emphasis on taking down enemies or helping allies that would increase how he is perceived.
