Apologizing for my lack of posting. The con is this weekend and for the last four days I have been slammed with convention work. Things should be back to semi-normal on Monday.

Con season is upon us, and in just two months, I will be running the game room for CoastCon (Biloxi, MS - March 16-18 if anyone is interested). This does mean that for the next two months, my life is very hectic and gaming must take a back seat. I'm not dropping, just giving warning that my posting may be slightly curtailed (more than usual). If I'm holding things up, just go ahead and bot me if necessary, though I will try to check in at least every other day (except weekends, most of which I will be busy). If you're in one of my games, I'm apologizing now for any unnecessary delays. Just hang in there and we will plug through.
I'm back and will be spending today and tomorrow catching up. If you ever get the opportunity to do the Ultimate Disney Christmas Package, take it! For roughly $800/person, we stayed at a moderate resort (Coronado Springs), attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, got extra hours in the parks, attended an exclusive Christmas dance party, had an exclusive holiday buffet with live entertainment (and the food was fabulous), and received a special gift in our room on Christmas day that contained a picture frame, serving tray, chocolates, cookies, and much more! All-in-all, a wonderful vacation at an excellent price! BONUS: Because our resort was undergoing construction, we also received three exclusive Disney trading pins featuring Donald and his amigos with construction tools! I was able to do most everything I wanted to do, with the single exception of Avatar Flight of Passage (my shins were too big), but my wife and brother-in-law did experience it and they thought it was a lot of fun! If you don't know, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is an exclusive event with limited attendance where you spend the entire evening in the Magic Kingdom, riding rides, seeing shows, and getting free treats! Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled adventure...
With the imminent approach of Christmas, I am going to be out-of-touch from the 20th-27th. My brother-in-law is treating my wife and me to a trip to Disney World so that she can see the Christmas decor before her vision is completely lost. To that end, I will be unable to post during that time. If I am in your game, please bot me as necessary. If you are in my game, I will try to find the time before Wednesday to make a brief post, but the game will be suspended until Dec. 28th. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a very Happy New Year to all!
"Count me in," Charlie checks his rifle.
Watching the proceedings, Charlie whispers to no one in particular, "Somebody remind me not to piss that man off."
"Only wish that we could'a stopped them all, sheriff. They probably set the barn afire to keep us distracted while they robbed the bank."
Charlie is taking this round to reload, though it looks as if that will be futile.
Oh, okay. If Charlie can spot him, he will open the corral as his action, using the door for cover. (looks like a success)
With the horses freed, Charlie cocks his rifle and takes aim at the fleeing men (firing a steady shot). Blood explodes from the man's left arm as Charlie reloads. (hit) (left arm) (serious wound)
Okay, bad news on my end. My computer is down for what duration I cannot say. I might be back online in a few days, it may be a few weeks. Needless to say, this suspends my gaming. I can log on through my wife's computer, but I cannot access any of my files. Hopefully, this will be resolved within a week. Please bear with me. If I am in your game, bot me as necessary (though I will try to log on once a day). If you are in one of my games, I don't know what to say. I will try to keep things moving as best I can with what I have to work with, but as I said, my files are inaccessible right now. Just hang in there and we'll be back!
Charlie attempts to enter the stables to free the horses. If a trough is nearby, he douses himself with water first.
Charlie races for the stables, intent on helping out however he can.
"Well, it makes sense that you can't wait about for him to find the money. You have a schedule to keep and a job to do. I won't keep ya any further." Coming back to the small group, Charlie explains. "Disagreement between Mr. Turpin, the passenger, and the driver. Turpin ran short of cash and wanted him to wait around. Makes me wonder what Turpin's got that he can find more cash in a relatively short time."
Charlie wanders over to the driver of the stage and asks, "What was that all about?"
I am on vacation this week until next Monday, Please bot me as necessary. If I'm running the game, I will do what I can to check in, but don't expect much activity from me this week. Thank you.
"Done." Charlie replies. "Name's Charlie Smallfoot."
"Bounty hunting, you say? I must say that's something I've never tried muh hand at. I'm a fair tracker muhself, if I don't mind sayin'."
Charlie nods his acceptance of the apology and turns to the gathered crowd. "Nothing to see here, folks."
"No, my name isn't Lucas and until today, I have never laid eyes on you." Charlie says adamantly.
"Answer the man's question, 'darling'. What is my name?"
Stymied, Charlie looks around helplessly. "Well, I'm new in town and I don't really know anyone, so I can't rightly say that I have one."
"Your honor, I must protest. I have never laid eyes upon this woman before today."
"I'll come with you to the justice, but only to see this straightened out."
Charlie raises an eyebrow in surprise, but drops his weapon and raises his hands. "Here now, what's this? I've never seen that woman before in my life!"
Charlie nods in response. "Morning."
Charlie waits patiently outside the sheriff's station for Niko to finish his business.
Charlie follows Marcus and Niko again, not intending to be hidden, but not making his presence known.
Charlie eats in silence, accustomed to taking his meals alone, but this pair of strangers interests him. He stays close to Nik and Devon, not close enough to be creepy, but not trying to remain hidden, either.
If indeed it is late afternoon, Charlie returns to the saloon to see about getting a room.
Charlie watches the match with an appreciative eye. A fair fight between two men was always worth a watch.
Charlie shrugs and grabs his rifle, proceeding to the ring.
Charlie pays for his meal, then savors every bite. "Mighty good vittles there. Mighty good." He looks around the saloon, watching the card game with half-hearted interest.
My apologies, GM, just got overexcited!!
The saloon doors swing wide to admit a man with the look of someone who has seen many days in the sun. He wears a white shirt, black vest, and brown trousers. He has no spurs on his boots and a pair of worn leather gloves hang from his belt. He removes his hat as he enters and sets it on the bar next to him. He carries with him a breach-loading rifle which he sets down next to him, leaning it against the bar. "Root beer," he says, slapping the counter. "And I'll have a plate of that jackalope stew and grits."
