I have a Human Gunslinger Bard fleshed out, needs more work. I have some time off the next two weeks (working 2 days a week because, IDK, I'm dumb) in which to make sure it's done properly and to try to bone up on playing PF2.

Well, another crazy busy week. Had electricians install stuff in the house (I work from home), lotsa work, life, ugh. Whew. So, huzzah, we leveled and defeated one bad guy and didn't all die and that was a very comprehensive and awesome summary. I think Braith would benefit from the Amulet or the Gem. How DO we want to split the treasure? And...heading into another busy weekend. At least I'm finally caught up to what I needed to have done last weekend X-p
Braith takes a moment to center herself, and takes what she hopes is a final swing....
Jaylen said to me at least he's out for the new one. I have had unusually busy days lately, normally work is slow now, so I've had no time to make a new character. If you need to start without me, apologies, but I don't think I'll have time until at least the weekend, as you said you're close to starting. Just, I think with each new day okay, back to the normal slow, and it just. gets. BUSIER. Gah! However, I'm still thankful for my job :-D
I'm definitely thinking Gunslinger or Fighter, or maybe even a Bard depending on how difficult. I've read through the brief description of each following the links you posted earlier, but haven't tried to build anything yet because too busy (December is supposed to be the relaxing month!!?). Would we be inviting in others? When are you thinking of starting?
Torn between trying to kill the wolf and helping Toki, Braith takes a wild swing at the wolf, and then casts Healing Word on Toki. She is tired, out of spells, and not doing well, but she has her faith to keep that mace swinging.
How was the Gladiator movie? I know that's on Jaylen's 'wanna see it' list. I think an October Thanksgiving would be better (!!).
Braith mutters something low about handing it over now or something something corpse, but you can't quite make it out. Do they even speak the common tongue, Toki? she asks rather derisively, looking around at the tattered decorations.
Well, let's see what we can find further along here. We probably don't have to worry about being quiet, but definitely cautious!

I’m super flexible on what to play, happy to fill in a missing slot. What’s the most straight-forward or easy to play? I’m guessing a fighter of some sort.
I've played PF, but am not familiar with the rules well enough I don't think. I'd be down to try though.
Our country (USA) seems sort of split, yes? So for every fear I (a liberal) have or my friend has, I think what does my conservative family member feel or how has my conservative friend felt in the past. Yes, you are all right, we have so much in common, we just disagree ideologically. I wish there was an easy middle ground, but alas there does not seem to be one. Or rather, it's a very difficult middle ground, is better said. I don't know what the answer is, Scran, and also everyone else. Surely there's a way for folks to come together over common interests, like gaming!, and be cool. Maybe we all (as in gamers online) need to have like a list of topics we don't want brought up, no questions asked. I know some groups do that for some issues already. I certainly have a small list. Yeah, IDK. Scran brought up history, and this seems like a hopefully common interest. Years ago I read "The Nazi Seizure of Power: The Experience of a Single German Town, 1922-1945, Revised Edition". I feel the author tried to be just a historical summary of how it all went down without injecting too much opinion (but obviously as an historian, there's opinion). A very long, rather dry (sorry, author!) summary. Anywho, it was a good read in the end. Nothing is ever straightforward but Scran did capture some points the author made in the book, along with unrest, poverty, you get the point.

Kind of speaks to the point, if you can't even have a discussion (or just sit one out) about a viewpoint you don't agree with. Gird your loins friends. Have checked in on some friends and family, they seem to be okay for now. My Trump-voting step sibling posted a video about how the working class are tired of being ignored, yada yada, and they are right, but their (the Trump supporters') economic theories of what they think will happen now just don't hold up. I've also heard that globally when people are unhappy, they vote for change of any kind - against whomever is incumbent, and that's echoing in a lot of elections lately. Back to bashing imaginary wolves and goblins!

Braith sighs in frustration at the bottleneck, and seeing as how her spell didn't land, she goes with a Bless. Her prayer to the Earthmother is heard by all, and especially felt by Toki, Gideon and Jaylen. You bless up to three creatures of your choice within range. Whenever a target makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw.
Braith sticks with that Guiding Bolt to the goblin she can see , probably grazing his head . She stays put but hollers at Toki to push in or step back, knowing full well he probably can't hear her in the thick of things .
Braith mutters something about wolves can't eat armor let's go, and she starts to move down the path, spell at the ready.

Braith whispers that she will follow last, as there is little chance of her metal armor not alerting the goblins, but she'll try. And she agrees to not attack the wolves, or at least do as little damage if they attack her as possible. While you rarely see her cast spells, she appears to be focusing her prayer into her hand, which begins to glow slightly.
Shield spell, shield spell! Seriously, take care.

We should take unlikely allies, they might know more about this Bulak. Let’s go! She steps up to help take down the slathering creatures.
Do you know how to speak their language? I don’t. I guess we could simply yell out the name though. She holds her hand out to Toki, hoping to stay him for just a moment. But she also looks quite ready to step up to that metaphorical table.
Ummm, maybe we hang back and let them fight this out first, Toki? Knowing he probably won’t wait, she readies her mace but makes no move forward.
Notre Dame is coming right along. Unsure they’ll make their target of December but it’s almost there.
Nah already here and it’s all good. Woot!
Toki, you should've started that song before your fourth ale! but she joins in regardless. Definitely grateful to have a warm meal and a decent bed for the evening.

This old married couple of Jaylen and Braith are headed out on a long vacation. Which means either we'll have plenty of free time to keep up with the game, or stuff will happen and we'll miss it. I was, with much effort sheesh, finally able to log into Paizo on my phone. For some reason my phone hates their site lol. On the very off chance it punts me off again, you might see my posts with Jaylen's. And on the very other off chance our access is limited as we're going to France, well apologies and well be back at the end of the month.
Braith takes a moment to steady her aim, and whacks the goblin squarely on the noggin! She is glad she chose to provide some healing after seeing that ugly wound on Jaylen.
Braith scoots around her ursine friend, slapping him on the back and sending healing energy as she does. It takes her a few seconds to mutter the correct prayer, but she keeps moving to flank their now-shared enemy. Her mace is ready, but it has yet to be effective!
Braith was expecting to find something, but did not perceive the goblins and wolves until they jumped out. She mutters something about strength from the Earth Mother, grabbing her mace as she runs up next to our friend the bear and attempting to connect, but it just doesn't make it.
What's that? Is that...is that a person under there? Oh no let's go help!
I've only been tracking on my char, and she has 70g. That could be spot on or wildly inaccurate lol, not sure, but it's probably close.
That is a sad state of affairs. Thank you, good merchant. Braith would buy something from their booth as a token of appreciation. And would also ask where we might be able to find said Great Druid, to offer our support. Braith sells her crossbow to a vendor (you didn't even know she had one, she never uses it!) and with that money gets some more rations. With any downtime, she'll polish up all her metal and enjoy whatever food we can rustle up.
Don't suppose we just, ask around about the druid? Braith likes to get straight to the point.
After googling what a "flame tipped" cat is, good name. Hope Latte brings you many bright years of fun and good times. :-)
Braith is not amused at being doused with poison, but she does find humor in Toki's reaction. Bah, it's just a >cof< >cof< little stink bomb. Good thing we >cof< hadn't eaten yet >cof<, She continues to cough, laugh, and wash up before talking to Poppy and enjoying a nice meal. And then sleeping!
When we go over the clue again, Braith will mutter something about gods being too cryptic, and then immediately say a prayer to atone for the deific slight. Right. One druid, needing help, and some goblin trash. This should be interesting!
Well. That happened. Is everyone alright? Though out of spells and in sore need of a good rest, she checks everyone to make sure they don't need bandages or healing in the morning. Later, she asks Toki what's in the chest, and what a "weregild" is.
