What is the range increment for the "Vine Snap" ability of the felivines? The stat block doesn't say.

Is it just me, or is the destruction in this scenario a bit unreasonable? I mean, the only way those "explosives" make any kind of sense is if they are literally metric tons of antimatter. It seems like a faction with that much destructive power at their disposal could have used that a lot better than killing a few Starfinders, considering even a single one of those bomb deposits would probably be enough to fully destroy Absalom station.

The stats for the enemy spaceships don't seem to be correct. In the 5-6 version of the Corsair, the shadow bolt projector has a range of 20 hexes, but in the Starship Operations Manual it is listed as a weapon with medium (10 hexes) range. Similarily, the 5-6 version of the Linovae should have a TL of 20 (10 medium, 4 piloting, 6 defenses), but is listed as having a TL of 19. Is it better to use the correct stats or the ones from the scenario?

And here's another question about those Armory rafts. Those rafts are only 10 feet by 4 feet. How the heck do four characters fit on one for several days of travel? Are the characters squeezing the entire time they are on the river?

I mean, the usual "a medium creature takes up a 5 feet times 5 feet space" is only relevant for combats, where you need room to maneuver, dodge, aim, swing your weapon and so on. People don't actually take up five feet squares, so during travel times, it might not be entirely comforable, but it's certainly no major problem to sit in one raft with four people. The big question is what happens once they get attacked. Do they get forced to leave the raft before they can do other actions? Do I extend the raft to allow four people to fight while inside? Or do I simply allow them to take up the same space while giving them the squeezing condition?

After the crash, there is supposed to be a hole in the PCs starship marked by "A6", but I can't find an "A6" marking on the maps on page 8 and 9. Where is the best point to position those hull breaches?

Also, Encounter C and Encounter D use the exactly same map, which is kinda strange to me. Is it possible to use the other side of this flip map for Encounter D, since that map would actually have ruins and so on like the description says?

Hello helpful people! What am I supposed to do about player character's technological augmentations? They cannot exactly have surgery before going on this trek... Are augmentations ignored, or given a special waiver by the organizers of this journey so long as the players do not make obvious use of them?

I allowed my players to use them, with Jontane stating that using parts of their body are of course legal. I thought this to be logical, since Exocortex mechanics are under no special restrictions (the box even calls out that having the tech in their bodies is the reason for that).

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I have a question I would like input on. The Idari arrived in the Pact Worlds in 240AG, at which point probably the big cultural exchange began and Common became one of the main languages under Kasathas. The ship on Vabaimus is several centuries old, according to Mora. The is no reason the recording the PCs find would be in Common - in fact, Exu Jana Onorab probably didn't even have the ability to speak Common. The recording would most likely be in Kasatha.

The scenario says nothing about this, but in my opinion it would make sense to only let PCs that speak Kasatha understand it. What do you think?

I don't quite get the path Felzhen is supposed to take. F1 is his starting position at the beginning of round 1, right? F2 and F3 are his positions at the end of rounds 2 and 3 respectively, if I understand the description right. So where is he at the end of round 1?

Also, what does he do once he reaches F3? The text says he examines the device, but he surely doesn't just keeps doing that until the PCs reach him. At the same time, it would be kind of silly if he instantly escapes on round 4 or 5 be going around another corner, since there is no reason the PCs would be unable to follow him other than the end of the map.
