I had the same problem in another thread. I had to format it with the URL tag to get the link to work.

I don't know how to do that.

Thanks!

I still need to map the zone borders to my map at some point but once I do this is an awesome resource rather than scouring the book.

I originally made it as a check list in google docs that I can mark off as they enter each area. I eventually plan on going through and add page numbers and extra details like: not available until after staglord's death.

You should share it as a google doc/sheet

I tried but it didn't work. I'll try again...

For chapter 2, event 2: "Explosion at Bottleneck Bridge" I am going to have the Powderkeg Punks ambush the PCs outside of his home. Logically, it's the only place I can think of aside from the brewery where they would know to set an ambush.

Alternatively, it could be interesting to have a 3 way battle at the brewery between the Punks and the Clearwater Cleaners.

My Group plays online and I made a map for this type of ambush and I just wanted to share it. I used the gold tank reserve map from the PDF and edited in GIMP.

The goblins' camp is suggested as a place for an overnight rest. But the text also describes the Shieldmarshals as being on the party's tail. How have other GMs handled this?

I had a goblin inspire the PCs to knock over a large pile of scrap that the goblins had set there to keep any pursuers away from their camp (if they were ever pursued.) I played up the goblins not liking the shield marshals because the marshals don't like them.

I am working on prepping the campaign and I was curious if anyone had given thoughts to other downtime activities to show the PCs progress.

Crafting and learning additional spells. My thought was to include one additional downtime activity per month.

So a PC could spend their free time crafting to learning a spell or something else, even earning pocket change if they don't want to craft or retraining once they have additional levels.

I expect to have 3 -4 downtime sessions during chapter 2.

I had my happen just over the bridge leading into the welcome walk, with Ot waiting for them by one of the struts in the walk.

I made it so that Ot is a touch showmanlike, with the rain not falling on him, and the magical symbols appearing in a pleasing manner.

When he walked away, the rain started down hard again, leading into the Esi scene.

While a more mechanical game would require him casting specific spells, I've taken the custom spells to mean that magic can be invented at this school, so some of the spells the NPCs do aren't going to be ones found in the book.

(am now wondering if SoM will include custom spell making..)

This seems Like a lot of fun. I have been looking for places to put in additional combats.

I just hope they don't mindlessly change certain magic items to a "Soul Cage of Faithfulness" or a "Soul Cage of Positive Channeling". The magic item phylacteries really should not be renamed.
Or at least not to "soul cage". If they do want to move away from using phylactery at all, they should be able to find another more appropriate term.

Reliquary of Positive / Negative Energy maybe
