Ducking back around to the entrance of the "room", Bedivered readied his crossbow and shot a bolt at the larger Beetle as Rel attempted to life the smaller.

+1 damage, -1 step
Pierce: 1d20 ⇒ 20

-1 step for Speed Def Training
Speed Def: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Success:
Quickly wrenching himself free from the beetles grip, he falls back to the group, readying to strike the other beetle from behind "Big bugs have strong backs and sharp claws, one at a time it is!"

-1 step, +2 damage
Thrust: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Failure:
Not able to get free, he cried out as the beetle ripped his armor and tore at his bare flesh. "I made a mistake!"

Bedivere took a deep breath and gripped his sword. "Little men guarding big bugs? I don't suppose we could get them to talk, haha! and he ran to strike the right beetle.

-1 Step, +2 Damge
1d20 ⇒ 12

"Was just passing by and saw a glorious battle to be had!" Bedivere said as he was laying on the floor of the cave. "Now is the time for rest though, the time for talk comes after." as he let his eyes close.

Was so occupied with the other campaign, forgot about this one! Sorry!

1hr Rest: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

All to might.

My bad! Missed that part.

Feeling the full weight of battle, Bedivere crawled away from the Dinosaur and steadied himself to his feet, Gladdened that another has arrived to help.

Sword still in hand, he bolstered himself the best he could for an attack.
I think it's a step down for Defense roll if you're in a defensive stance? Maybe that's a specific rule...

He called to Rel "I fear I can't join you, but think of the feast we could have after the beast is slain!" and swung his sword down with both hands onto the Dino.

+2 damage, -1 step
Thrust: 1d20 ⇒ 18

Sprint: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Running short of breath and feeling the beast on his heels, Bedivere falters and comes short of the cave before the Dino catches him. Sword in hand, he quickly braces himself for Impact.

So close D:

Sprint: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Keeping his feet (For once), Bedivere charged on, hearing the dino's thudding steps chasing behind.

Bedivere turned and sprinted to the Cave.

Sprint: 1d20 ⇒ 9

And probably trips and falls. Again. Those darn clown feet!

Hopefully the dino is down for a bit. Though him being flattened could be an asset to the hit-die...

"He won't be down for long! What do we do? Keep fighting or get into the Cave?" He yelled to his companion, as he grabbed up his sword and moved towards the grounded beast.

If possible to attack the same turn I pick up the sword, I would like to do that

+2 damage on hit, -1 step for weapons training
Thrust: 1d20 ⇒ 20

In that case

Seeing his blade missing from his hand, Bedivere reached into his pockets to find a Gravity Detonation (lvl 6) and hurled it at the Dino.

Throw: 1d20 ⇒ 13

might: 1d20 ⇒ 19

Bedivere winced as the dino clamped down on him and threw his body around like a rag doll, but he was able to get his hands into the beast's mouth and wrench it's jaw open, sending him flying like a thrown stone.

Sorry, there isn't really a rule to that, but I took it in part like making a speed roll to close long range. Sounded like it would make sense.

Yeah it was mostly because there was only the two of us, but if more people are interested, I won't shy away.

Bedivere lowered his crossbow and armed his sword as he charged at the Dino to give a mighty swing.

Making a charge roll to traverse short distance and still attack, down one step for training in Physical Performing arts(?)
Charge: 1d20 ⇒ 14

Success:
He reached the Dino and swung the blade down.
Damage +2
Might: 1d20 ⇒ 9

Failure:
Bedivere lost his footing and stumbled into the dirt, cursing his large clumsy feet.

Seeing the creature loose, Bedivere grew a bit angered and yelled to the scouts. "How would YOU feel if we brought a hulking behemoth along?", followed by a crossbow bolt to the already wounded scout.

Crossbow: 1d20 ⇒ 8

He then charged forward, into the fray of battle.

Seeing that the Dino has 30hp, it is safe to assume that it is a pretty high level of creature. Lets say, 8 or 9 if it has some extra defense from thick skin or what have you... I think we just leg it, haha!

Action 1

Bedivere continued to approach the scouts as he shot another bolt. "Two on Two is a fair fight! HaHaHa!"

Crossbow: 1d20 ⇒ 11

Action 1

Bedivere crouched down to steady his aim as he shot a bolt at the guard moving to aid the other.

Crossbow: 1d20 ⇒ 18

I see little reason to continue this one with only the two of us, but lets finish this battle at least.

Seeing his comrade in trouble, Bedivere quickened his pace to reach Rel before the scouts did.

Speed: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Success:
He reached Rel and attempted to help him wrench free. Giving him an asset to his roll to escape.

Failure:
Not being able to reach him in time, Bedivere opted to give him covering fire with his crossbow, loosing a bolt towards the closest scout to his companion.

Crossbow: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Action 1

Bedivere continued to jog forward until in range to let off a crossbow bolt at the leftmost scout.
Pierce +1 damage, free due to edge.
Crossbow: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Edit: Not even Bedivere is safe from this d20 luck it seems.

Not wanting to tire before the battle, Bedivere jogged towards enemies.

Are we able to close the gap this turn, or will we fall short?

I'm pretty much for diving in headfirst if there is no opening, I'll wait to see what everyone else thinks.

Action 1

"I say we watch the patrolling guard, wait for a chance to catch them offguard and spread out. Maybe after nightfall?" He looked to his companions for input.

Action 1

"Remember! Always rest after a good fight!"

Taking the 10 minute rest aswell.

Recovery: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

One to Might, one to speed.

Sure thing!

Round 8

Seeing as he was victorious, Bedivere sat on the ground where he once stood and took a deep breath.

Quick Recovery: 1d6 ⇒ 2

1 to might, 1 to speed.

Accidently posted this in the gameplay thread, as Dreithik. So he's listed in the game now... my bad!

Round 7

With a mighty swing, Bedivere attempted to plunge his broadsword into the mount in front of him.

all same stuff
Might: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Success:
The blade dug deep into the Dino mount.

Failure:
He struck the ground as the Dino jumped back and lunged at him while he was vulnerable.

I'm still pretty healthy, so Might as well keep swinging.

Round 6

Stabilizing himself, Bedivere look towards the other two. " It seems like we may have bitten off more than we can chew! Nothing to do but to keep slashing!" He makes another swing, in attempt of finally bringing down the remaining rider before him. "Maybe if we kill the riders, the mounts will flee!"

Might: 1d20 ⇒ 14

Damage +1, Diff -1 step

Success:
The Rider slumped to the ground and Bedivere yelled "Which one is next!?" and raised his sword threateningly Intimidate: 1d20 ⇒ 18

Failure:
Once more missing his mark, Bedivere cursed as his blade struck the mud. "I cannot fall to these pitiful beasts!"

Winding his slash back, Bedivere slashes at the Scout once more. "I hope this is not the best your kind has to offer, the only worthy opponent is the mount!"

Damage +1, Difficulty -1 step

Might: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Success:
The Scout falls of it's mount, which reels back, ready to pounce.

Failure:
Overconfident of his victory, Bedivere doesn't adjust his swing when the Scout jerks to the side, leaving him unbalance as his blade goes wide.

Round 4

Bedivere struck the scout with his sword, yelling "We will not Falter!"

might: 1d20 ⇒ 14

Thrust is a free action due to Edge, Broadsword deals +1 from mastery and Difficulty down 1 step from practiced with all weapons.

My apologies, what I meant is that I think that this excursion has served it's purpose as for displaying the pace that the combat would be in, But if everybody wishes to continue, I will not leave the party for dead.

I think I am good. The combat, although takes longer to type out with the successes and failures, seems pretty straight forward to me.

"Keep the firing at them before they get here!"

Bedivere shoots another bolt towards the now wounded scout

using Pierce as it is free due to the edge. Effort as well again.

Success:
The scout falls with a loud cry, Bedivere readies his sword for the approaching enemies.

Seeing the scouts rapidly approaching, Bedivere checks to see if any have turned to warn their leaders."Looks as if we've been spotted! Make sure none get away!"

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Success:
Bedivere unslings his crossbow and fires a bolt towards the retreating Scout

Failure:
Not being able to tell in all the commotion, he Fires a bolt towards the closest scout

Both outcomes end with me firing a bolt so I will only make 1 roll and I would like to use an effort on it.

I am ready when everyone else is.
