Male Undine Monk 5

is there still a game here?

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin isn't the magic type that best left to the wizards and such

Of course Orlune's idea works just as well.

Male Undine Monk 5

Orlune please step back, I will give it a try

Arvin takes a Tai Chi stance and with some graceful fluid movements he gathers a mass of water in front of him and compresses it to a dense mass and thrusts it at the door.

range 30' does 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 6, 1) + 1 = 13 damage

That may weaken it a bit for you.

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin quickly steps out of Orlune's path.

Well i was about to say that I don't think there is anything moving on the other side. but we should still proceed with caution

Male Undine Monk 5

Wait a moment

Arvin goes to the door placing his hand on the door and concentrates attempting to feel any water vibration on the other side.

blinsense 30' in the same body of water

Male Undine Monk 5

need to make the settings public

Male Undine Monk 5

it may escape its wrappings but this way its still trapped. I was thinking instead of undead it may be another champion that got himself trapped in the wrappings and left to die besides it will take 1d6 damage every round it is trapped untils it escapes or is dead (reflex save every round to escape)I need to concentrate each round to maintain as well

Male Undine Monk 5

turning to where Arvin sensed the creature and noticing it attempting to break free of its wrappings.

it may not actually be trying to harm us. Arvin warns as he forms a mass of water in front of him and fling it to capture the creature.

use capture Kata (range 30') DC 14 reflex to avoid. failure 1d6 ⇒ 4 damage and captured in a sphere of swirling water.

Male Undine Monk 5

actually I may have though the noise was from the other side of the door

Arvin turns to see if he can find the source of the noise he concentrates on the vibrations of the water attempting to sense what is around him seperating known allies and whatever is not.

Blindsense 30' in water

Male Undine Monk 5

Well that is good to hear that most if not all of us can breathe air. that might be to our advantage later on.

Arvin goes next to orlune

could you use any assistance ?

Male Undine Monk 5

Before we go much further. with the possiblity of parts of this place being air filled. it might be a good idea to know who among us can in fact live outside the water?. I can function in both environments without any hinderance.

he stops a moment. and by the way there are air bubbles from that corner over there

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin swims in taking a look about the room looking for other possible exits as well as any other unnatural things (such as air bubbles, maybe water draining from the room, etc.)

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Male Undine Monk 5

After the bit of a topple throught he doorway Arvin gathers himself together. noticing the small wound on him they quickly close within a round.

I am afraid I do not have any ability like that to drill through the doors and if they are the same condition as the first one I think opening by any means may result in the same effect.

Arvin's hydrated vitality should provide the fast healing needed to heal him of his damage

Male Undine Monk 5

no problem I can just save the blast for a bad guy

Male Undine Monk 5

@Anala: that is true I just didn't want to catch you in the blast

Male Undine Monk 5

funny I offered the same thing several posts back but nobody noticed that guess its better to just do it and not worry about working together

reflex save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Male Undine Monk 5

I might be able to get us through if you want to let me try. But it won't be very subtle nor stealthy. Also, I won't make any real promises that it will even work.

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin tries to stay quiet about the gate and the person disappearing a slight look of concern on his face.

maybe we should check out that door he says apparently attempting to change the subject.

Male Undine Monk 5

back at the door before he leaves to ctch up with the party

Arvin see the party advancing into the dungeon further. as Arvin turns to leave he glances back at the obnoxious door...Chill out he whispers

to GM:

Arvin lowers the water temperature around the door mouth to near freezing leaving small ice crystals starting to form around it
the door is most likely immune to non-leathal damage so it is for effect only

at the opening

Arvin strains to see to the limit of his darkvision

I think there is a door on the far side

he comments pointing in the direction of the door he spotted

Male Undine Monk 5

If you can use it then go ahead like I said I already have +1 armor and +1 deflection so won't stack with anything I have

Arvin goes back toward the doorway they came in to check it out

I believe it has shut once we were all inside

Arvin checks out the door itself to see if it again springs to life or remains silent.

Male Undine Monk 5

I have no need for it but there may be others that can make use of it. also I will bring up the rear of the group. I can see rather well with or without the light and can keep watch from behind, and above if need be.

I already have bracers+1 and ring +1 so will not stack either way

Male Undine Monk 5

Let us move on perhaps there are more "champions" for us to find

Male Undine Monk 5

With Olrune leading the way the path to the bodies seems safe enough.

I wonder how they died?

Arvin examine the bodies for a cuase of death leaving the search for equipment to Olrune

Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin stays with Gorkhan feeling a bit of a kindred spirit with him.

same race

Arvin will check the entryway for signs of more puzzles or markings including the ceiling assuming that both are close enough to examine it

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

Male Undine Monk 5
Gorkhan Trask wrote:
[dice=Perception]1d20+12

copy-cat had one-up me too

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin moves beside Gorkhan

What do you see?

Arvin attempts to scan the entrance to the limit of his vision as well

darkvision 60', Blindsense 30'
in case needed perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Male Undine Monk 5

still here

Male Undine Monk 5

then it seems to be a consenus then, we should go with the answer "Time". Agreed?

Male Undine Monk 5

My idea was time but also i considerd "Tides"

Well this is an interesting situation has anyone thought of a potential answer? I have a couple of thoughts but want to hear what you others have to say

He hasn't really given a name, merely called himself "door", although i will swap that knowledge to instead know more about him and you do know of rumors that magical doors would guard some of the most precious things. But these were just rumors and childrens tales... or so you thought

Was refering to the mention of Hyrule crypt the door spoke of

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin tries to recall the lessions of his elders and the history of his people wondering if the name has any meaning

knowledge history 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

then after the riddle is given Arvin starts to contemplate the answer.

Well this is an interesting situation has anyone thought of a potential answer? I have a couple of thoughts but want to hear what you others have to say

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin casually swims down to catch up with those that already baegan the decent.

Male Undine Monk 5

Ohh Sorry, I am Arvin, newly arrived here from a small community to the south. I am searching for what is rumored to be an ancient temple located somewhere in or about this city. I do hope that this quest will provide some clues as to its location

Male Undine Monk 5

so Pip this has happened before? do tell, what were the circumstances these other time?

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin Takes a look around seems kind of diappointed at the "King's" attitude and his inability to question him about his quest but perhaps this old catacomb could be what he is looking for.

Arvin searches the remaining supplis to find anything useful.

perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

Male Undine Monk 5

character completed (all equipment updated)

Entering the city Arvin is, at first overwhelmed by the size of the place. Coming from nothing but small communities and villiages. amazed by everything Arvin almost never noticed the delivery of the message.

A chance to meet Lord Poseidon this is exciting, perhaps he can help me in my quest

Upon entering the room with several others Arvin scans the surroundings as well as those with him.

but before he has a chance to greet those with him the "King" stands and the room bows.

not wanting to arrested in his first days in the city Arvin bows as well showing respect for the "King"

Male Undine Monk 5

Arvin here also working on gear
