A friend of mine and myself are driving down to Cangames from Montreal, and we would be willing to run 1 table of PFS during the 3 Saturday timeslots and the Sunday morning one. We can prep 2 scenarios each, so each timeslot would be different. We're waiting to hear from another group of potential PFS players also making the trip from Montreal (i.e. I know they play PFS and I know they are going to Cangames, but I don't know if they'd want to play PFS at Cangames...) before choosing what scenarios to bring, but I did not see any deadline for GM submission on the Cangames website. Jeff, if you could facilitate the contact with the Cangames organizers, that would be appreciated. PM me if you need more details. ![]()

Unfortunately, I'm still missing 2 games (out of 4) I played at Gen Con 2009. I have the Chronicles sheets duly signed by the GMs, but nothing is showing in the Sessions for that character (I checked the other PFS characters I have under the same PFS ID, nothing there either). To whom do I send the details ? ![]()
![]() (I apologize in advance if you've read a similar message on another mailing list) As per the previous years, I will make the trip from Montreal (Quebec) to Lake Morey (Vermont) to attend Carnage 12 (http://www.carnagecon.com) next November. Just wanted to know if there was plans to have PFS events at Carnage this year. The reason I'm asking *now* is that "first choice" selection for Carnage events submission ends July 12th. I can help with DMing PFS events at the convention, but I am a little too far "from the action" to actually submit events. Daniel Mayrand

I was sick as a dog for most of the weekend, so my recollection of this year's CanGames is thru a Tynenol-Extra-Strength-Cold-and-Sinuses(tm)-induced haze, but you can count on me to run you thru some scenarios next year ! armac wrote: Although I do think that like this year, each scenario could be run more than once and still have full tables. I believe so too, especially if relatively recent scenarios (ex. Prince of Augustana, Perils of the Pirate Pact) are scheduled. ![]()

I am not familiar with indianapolis so I am hoping some people can make some great suggestions for a place I can make reservations at. 1) The Ram Restaurant & Brewery. The owner is a gamer himself, there is a gaming room with tables right on the premises, and during GenCon that's where most folks get together, i.e. it's packed ! 8) but I'm more partial to... 2) Alcatraz Brewing Co.. Slightly less packed that the Ram during GenCon, and has more of a "sports bar" feel to it, but I think the beer and the food are better 8) My advise: start with the Ram, might be easier to get reservations there. ![]()

It makes sense, except I have played my share of 2-rounders during the Living Greyhawk campaign, and those were considered as one 8-hours game. I wasn't sure if it was the same thing here. logic_poet wrote:
I have Part 1 on Friday morning, and Part 2 on Sunday morning, and the only PFS event I have between them is "Betrayal in Absalom: A Pathfinder Society Event (Version 1)" - which I can play with my secondary character (we ex-LGers are used to juggle character sheets <g>). ![]()

Even "seasoned" players who did not have the chance to play at least 21 PFS scenarios will be locked out of the last scenario (Drow of the Darklands Pyramid, Tiers 7–11). As the main DM of our gaming group, I'm not even sure I will be able to level out any character to 5th level. To say I am disappointed is putting it mildly. We had both those mechanisms in the Living Greyhawk campaign: - Either the bonus was listed in the scenario itself (ex. "If you have played Son of the Creature of the Black Lagoon or Return of the Son of the Creature of the Black Lagoon, you get a +2 Diplomacy bonus with the Creature..") and its application was managed by the DM, - Or the bonus was listed on the Adventure Record (the equivalent of the Chronicle Sheet) and could be used at will - but still subject to DM's approval as of its pertinence. So far, I've seen one reference to a previous adventure in a PFS Scenario. Spoiler:
In Stay of Execution: "It’s possible that some PCs may have the lost treatise, “The Inward Facing Circle” from Pathfinder Society Scenario #1: Silent Tide." If the bonus listed in Blood at Dralkard is similar, it should not have been listed in *this* scenario, but in the *next* scenario, or at least be put in more ambiguous terms, like "You have done him a good one, he will remember that...". The way it is written in the scenario, Spoiler:
Saving Sheriff Eraltis from the cult earns the PCs a permanent bonus to all Charisma-based checks in Alvis and Augustana as word of their deed spreads. I did fully expect it to show up on the Chronicle. Now, was it an oversight ? Was the bonus not expected to be given, but the text not updated accordingly ? I don't really care (nor do I think my players do) one way or another, I just want to have a firm answer to give them... Daniel Mayrand

![]() I ate and ran Blood at Dralkard Manor yesterday at Tier 1-2 for my regular group of Pathfinders. It went reasonably well - no death but a few tense moments during the combats - and I believe a good time was had by all. My 2 cents: 1) Yes, there is a possible conflict between the Andoran and the Cheliax faction goals as they are written in the scenario. Spoiler:
"Creation of More Monsters" does not necessarily mean "Summoning". The Andoran player found Handout #5 first, and asked the other faction in-character (*) NOT to inquire about it any further. Of course, out-of-character, the Handout got passed around (especially since we had 2 Andoran players), and the Cheliax player remarked that he too needed it. After a few o-o-c arguments back and forth, the Cheliax character conceded that the body of a vargouille would do the trick as well. (*) We worked out a little "in-character code" when we want to signal to the other players that we need to do stuff or get stuff for our factions goals: all the player has to say is that it's "a matter of honor", and the other players get the message... <g> 1) Also, a "bump!" of a previous comment by NiTessine: "" wrote:
Since me and my group of players will attend CanGames in May and most likely play "The Prince of Augustana" with its author, the distinguished Craig Shackleton (never hurts to kowtow to the DM... <g>), we would like to know if there is an answer to that discrepancy. Worse comes to worse, I can put an hand-written note in the "Items Found During this Scenario" section of that Chronicle sheet next time I see them, but it's a kludge at best. ![]()

As it was my first experience with Pathfinder, I certainly hadn't played it before. How can I fix it, or should I not worry about it? Just my 2 cents: The person who can fix this would be your DM - who is probably also the person who left the comment. You should try to get in touch with him/her and straigthen things out. ![]()
![]() I will DM my first PFS game next Saturday, and, being the compulsive-obsessive sort, I want to make sure I have everything ready and at my fingertips. Which brings me to Event Reporting. I used to DM and organize events for the Living Greyhawk campaign, so I know a bit about Event Reporting, and I've read in other threads that until the "Report Event" link is up and running on the Paizo site, we are asked to hang on to the results until that feature goes live. But what information do I need to gather for reporting ? From past experience, I made up a small template that I will fill out on Saturday, which include: The Event Name: TBD
Anything else I might need to put in ? ![]()

I don't know about "Blackguard", but most of the Living Greyhawk's regions (I was one of the organisers for Quebec) has a Yahoo! discussion list set up. It may be not as fancy as the Paizo boards, but it did the job ! 8)
