Bane hesitates as he comes to the drop and takes a couple of quick deep breaths before charging across as quickly as he is able. "I. Hate. Heights." Can't have them all afraid of nothing! I'll find out what the others are afraid of as time goes on, I'm sure.

Bane rolls his eyes at their would-be rescuers and calls back "You do that! We're going to have a look around!" He reaches into his backpack and pulls a Candlerod from one of the pockets before lighting it and following Jay into the corridor, walking swiftly enough to catch up before they get fifteen meters into the tunnel.

Ivy and Hush follow immediately, pausing only to gather any scattered gear and refit their own packs for the upcoming excursion.

"Nnnnn... Hijo de puta, that hurt." Bane sits up, wincing in pain and favoring his left side, That's going to leave a massive bruise." He gets to his feet and looks around for a minute before speaking again, "Are the rest of you dead? Get up, let's go!"

On a little bit later than I wanted to be, such are the risks of posting at work :)

Anyway, I know you said we didn't need to, but for the same reason I named them properly, I went and did profiles for each character. Seems like it would minimize confusion.
