Alika moves through one of the patches of flames, unscathed thanks to her protective magic, and calls down a flame strike on the two foes further down the field.

The two who are adjacent to each other? I have no idea what the icons represent. I don't even know if those are enemies or allies.

Flame strike damage: 9d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 6, 6, 3, 6, 2, 1) = 32 (DC 21 Ref save half)

Alika advances toward the fray and unleashes a prayer spell to aid the Shoanti and her party companions while hindering the attackers.

Since Alistair moved off and Seltyn stepped adjacent, this should trigger the casting of communal resist energy, giving everyone in the party who's next to me (self included) resist fire 20.


INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Alika stumbles past her companions and slightly closer to the center of the fray and calls for everyone to gather nearby so that she can protect them from the fire.

Ready action to cast communal resist fire when every party member is adjacent to me, or when the round ends if some people run off. Seltyn and Alistair should be able to 5' next to me, let the spell go off, then take the rest of their turns.

Alika sits up in bed, clutches the bedsheet for a moment, then stumbles to her feet.

"Nothing that I recall," says Alika. "But the Sun Shaman must have a reason. The chief has heard of our deeds, the least he can do is relay to us why the Sun Shaman is so distressed. Hopefully tomorrow we'll found out our next move."

"Since we can't do anything else about it right now, get some rest," she suggests.

Alika gratefully takes the opportunity to take off some of her heavy gear once the group is shown to a tent.

"I'll just be glad of some food, and some sleep, and a day that does not involve wondering if my friend is going to die in the flame-suffused guts of a giant worm," she says.

"Everyone be sure to drink some more water. We've been out running in the heat and there's no telling when they're going to wake us up in the morning."

"Well, that's the question. I didn't bring anything extravagant with me, unfortunately," says Alika. "Unless we have some place where we can spend some ready coin, or someone feels like doing some hunting to bring back a pronghorn antelope for a feast, I don't have anything impressive."

Alika is scorched by Cindermaw's predictable-yet-unforeseen fire breath—it's named Cindermaw, after all—and unleashes her healing power immediately to keep the team on their toes.

No, I'm saying I get three 4th-level spells, so if I take greater magic weapon in addition to the other two, that's it. No more 4th level spells.

If you asked for it beforehand, I can have it! Note that it's 4th level, so that will wipe out my 4th level spells for that, greater status, and greater celestial healing.

Aid will give 1d8+9 temp hit points.

Greater celestial healing will give fast healing 4 for four rounds, which may help with incidental healing while inside the beast (and thus extend the chance of surviving the ordeal).

Overstimulate prevents unconsciousness at negative hit points for nine rounds.

If we have prep time, Alika can prepare cleric spells to help Kyras as well. Anything up to 5th level!

"Unfortunately, I don't have the magic to repair that kind of damage," Alika says apologetically to Kyras. "I can try to help treat you so that you'll recover, but if your body can't shake the effect, I'll have to purchase some special materials to deal with the aftereffects."

I don't have restoration prepared at the moment, and there's no way for me to get it in time to beat the window when you have to make your save vs. the level drain becoming permanent. If you fail the save I'll have to find 1,000 gp of diamonds somewhere to remove it.

I don't know how many levels each of you lost. If you take multiple permanent level drains, we could be out several thousand gold and several weeks of time (you can only repair one lost level per week with restoration).

Veronica shifts her position to get a little close to the fray, with the intent of bringing her own scimitar into play but without taking a hit from the daemon along the way.

+3 deflection bonus to AC, so that improves your AC by one point.

Alika steps a bit closer to support the team and casts sun metal on Kyras' weapon.

Normally I'd use weapons against evil to deal with DR, but it doesn't affect any DR above 5!

I'm waiting to see if the daylight penetrates the darkness, or if it's some kind of more powerful static darkness effect.

Alika frowns a bit at the darkness and the evil sensation. She draws her blade and casts daylight on it, which should penetrate any minor darkness magics.
