I actually like the idea of tippyverse, though generally I scale it down to 5th level rather than 20th level magic. Though in one of my settings it's 14th level magic.

More importantly, from my point of view, neither the Tippyverse or this suggestion sound like very fun worlds to set a game in.

I know that's not really the point, but still.

Note: People do play in the Tippyverse, and do enjoy it.

Me and a couple freinds did this once! It basically turned into a weird yet fun Pathfinder/Shadowrun hybrid.

They are most assuredly more complex than previous classes. While it does fit thematically it feels almost not worth the complexity. To me at least im sure others will and already have taken a likeing to it.

As far as I can tell just reading the forums, the Kineticist math is off because they're comparing apples to oranges and ignoring the stuff inside the peels.

How so? What exactly makes it apples to oranges? Damage is still damage and its the Kineticist big thing or at least the thing it will be used the most for. Don't mean to sound confrontational, im just genuinely curious.

So as for the OP I kind of like it so far! Which is a big surprise for me as I was not very optimistic about this. The only real flaws I'm seeing so far is the Kineticist being not very good if the math everyone is listing off checks out. The other disappointment is that the Medium is still kind of boring compared to its inspiration i.e the Binder.

Outside of those two things though they look like the rest shall be a wonderful addition at my table.

Now I need to figure out how to re-fluff it with Dreamscarred's stuff. Oh boy that's gonna be fuuuuun /s

So how often do people encounter LE player characters? From my experience its the one evil that gels well with most party's as its simply after dominance in the social ladder i.e get rich which is the goal of most adventurers. Its also right next to NG in the department of alignments that no one talks about.

As for the OP's question..... Because it could be fun. New things to toy around with are always fun and I myself never saw it having the chance of hurting anyone.

Are their any plans to include firarms in Kirthfinder at some point or is that a issue that will be sidesteped?

Synthesist. Mainly because my GM flavors it like my character is going full Kamen Rider. Because Kamen Rider just makes everything more fun!

Missionary work and running away from another church....

I'm not very excited, at this point, from the sound of it its going to be 6 Vancian casters with psychic abilities that seem very low key. But hey maybe it will be good. Still sad that I wont be making light sabers with my mind.

Another problem, at least thematically is, that the style i.e occult can already be done by the current selection of spell casters with either re-fluffing or just straight up can do.

Ultimately I am both excited and very very worried. I'm a fan of DS's work and am very impressed on how they made the classes feel unique. With Pazio relying on the Vancian system I'm afraid they may go to far with the while psychic mages and just make them just that, some flavor of wizard, warlock, etc. but PHYSCIC. But only time (and hopefully play test) will tell.

Defiantly interested to see how they are going to try to make the six new classes unique without being some form of "X but PSYCHIC!" especially since they will be relying on Vancian casting. Defiantly looking forward to Obsidian pathfinder projects

can anyone give me a link to said announcement? cant seem to find it.

Welcome to the world of Meltheras! Sadly, the world is still in its infancy and all I have are its continents and some factions.

The Coalitions of Goblin Tribes (better known as the tribes of knock knock): 12 Goblin tribes lead by head shamans who may or may not have caused some gods to become mortal and caused some very important people to be resurrected.

The Fey Inventors Courts: Tell me friends what happens when you replace every politician with a scientist. Answer? Absolutely nothing save for many many explosions. The number 1 source of magitech in the setting and some of the craziest buggers to boot. 5 courts in total with each representing a different trade/sceience (thaumatology, alchemy, robotics, Mysticism, and "Mundane" technology

The Crusaders of the Silent King: Long ago an ancient emperor once ruled this world.... then one of his sons decided "Screw you dad I'm making my own empire!" one civil war later its 2 dead nobles and a collapsed country. Nowadays they simply are a vestigial kingdom looking to reclaim their former glory. Armed with only their knights, necromancy, and a prophecy they march to the beat of the kings song

And that's all that's done for know, hoping to finish the others tonight and get the continents finalized. and once all that's done next come the new pantheon

So you're in the same group as the other two, either you know everything up front or you have a bad GM. You either need to be told before the game starts or be fed clues during the game. But in either case only a bad GM does...

The GM can keep all the plot secrets he wants.

If the players don't know all the game rules upfront, that's bad GMing.

Changing rules on the fly, without forewarning and consent is bad GMing.

Is it bad for a GM to reskin monsters also?

That depends. Is the monster in question stated like a balrog when its a goblin dog? and the players are given no heads up then yes that is bad GM'ing if you are simply refluffing them without any stat changes then no that is not bad GM'ing

Hello folks. Recently have started getting into Pathfinder with some old friends and while going through the product list a staggering amount of material is for the core setting. As a GM who prefers to make his own settings are their any options for me to use my own setting, both fluff wise and crunch wise. Thank you all in advance.
