After having lost Amphitryon and Varocles, unfortunately, this group is going to lose another. Me. This has nothing to do with the game or anything around it. It is related to some vileness I've experienced in a completely unrelated manner. It's just really hit me hard in the motivation button to still want to roleplay at all. Orpheus acts in one final act of desperation at the goddess's judgment. Aikaterine suspects what it means, which is confirmed by Orpheus's words before he dies. It is Aikaterine's desire to live, sure. She knows Nemesis is filled with fire. At this moment, Aikaterine does not spring into action to destroy the goddess and fulfill the desires of Orpheus but closes her eyes in faith. "My Lord Zeus. It was an honor to serve you in my life. I cannot understand how I have been deemed guilty, let alone Daphne, or Kyronai after your patience regarding him, but I trust your rulership and desires; that you know better than us all. If this be my end, and Nemesis's, Poseidon's, and your judgment on me, so be it. Who am I to argue. I submit to you. I meet this end in faith instead of rebellion."
”I understand why it’s hard to express what happened but I would encourage you all to be candid with Nemesis and I.”
”A patient blade can weather great obstacles. We have been patient and have uncovered much. I would implore you to do the same. You are a noble goddess. You deserve respect. There is something at work here and I’m trying to figure it out, yet every time we are getting close, I find out either Zagreus or Lord Poseidon seem to attempt to stop the truth. On the ship, it was he who sent those serpents at us, and it was him who wished that fisherman to die before we spoke to him, as well as other things that I will not mention.” she states, looking at Nemesis knowingly. ”And now you are here, threatening to kill us all. Please…see that this is more complex in your wisdom, that is far greater than my own. We can use illumination from all sides. That will bring about truth and I would like to hear Daphne and those here what they’ve experienced instead of just silencing them. “

Aikaterine is quiet for the exchange. She has no will against this goddess woman, nor for that matter Daphne, as she’s been extremely evasive. She knows nothing about her, she’s been a neutral party here and has sought to stop the Prometheans, but more than that she has little say. ”Daphne here is no longer working for the Prometheans and seem intent on talking. What is Poseidon hoping to silence? It is possible she will aid us and turn from Zagreus’s madness and those others who may be behind this. Poseidon may wish their deaths, but you are your own goddess. Stay your blade and we may have allies. Which do you determine is more beneficial to our cause?”
Where she was once trying to connect to these men, with Daphne’s exit, and the landing of the figure on the roof, she is ready for action again. When the figure outside seems to drop down, showing its humanoid form, she at least knows it is not a Pegasus or dragon. She will nod with the others that it should be common sense at this point to head outside.
”Well…what do we have here now?” she asks, hoping to inspire this mystery guest to turn.
I am letting people know that as of today, I'm going to be on vacation and where I'm going, my internet may be spotty. I don't mind posting from my phone though when available. I should have internet but if you don't hear from me for some time, that is why. I should still be able to commit to my normal posting speed.
"Please, call me Aikaterine, and that is fine," she answers, not enjoying her name in nickname form and making it clear. To the others, she answers their claim: "If I were to break a dam, you are damn right I would be responsible for the homes and lives the water flow takes when it rushes downstream. Take that failure and responsibility on your head and stop blaming others. The heroes didn't create the boar. You Prometheans did. You loosed it during Thesmophoria while people were celebrating and numerous heroes were in town, yes. We can say that heroes didn't rise up against it, which is possible, but maybe some did and maybe died. Also, consider that letters don't travel to job posting boards immediately, and that boar grew fast. All we know is no one was able to claim the money. For all we know, it could have been because the heroes on the island were too drunk to go check a job posting board during a festival because it was a festival. Not. Their. Fault." "And as for this party before I joined, there was a priority mission of a kidnapped girl?" She looks to Kyronai for confirmation. "Kidnapped girl, or rampaging boar...hmm." she states plainly, as if it was a stupid point that of course they chose to save the girl. "In any case, so great was the death there in that village with the boar that it lingered a cloud of shadow magic and evil over the entire region. Every house was destroyed and trampled. Every person's body was crushed and ripped apart. We, by luck, only by tracking down Hermoine's actions, came across it or the whole of the island country would have been destroyed in time and full of haunts and death. That is something you should repent of and in my mind be punished for!" she pleads, almost in a kind manner, hoping to express her heartbreak over the loss of those people's lives and to paint the picture so they cannot deny the evil they've caused. "As for the 'doctor', the fact you yourself didn't try to stop him from his evil is exactly the problem I have. You want to go protest the gods, go for it. You may die, or they may try to humble you. Whatever. The least that's your choice. The least you could have done is experiment on yourselves instead of others. That would have been nobler, don't you think? Stop dragging other people into his maddened path. Especially innocent people. You should feel shameful for that far more than anything the Gods have taken from you. Do you know how many innocent soldiers died there? What about their wives? What about their loved children? Their families? Do you know what became of them? Transformed into a flesh golem and haunts? Did you end them? No. You just went on your way terrorizing elsewhere." "And you mock my knowledge and aged experience. However, it is my knowledge that tells me not to judge the whole based on the actions of a part. It is precisely that knowledge that is keeping my hand from reaching out and taking your life. I understand that not all Prometheans are like your good 'doctor'. Not all Prometheans are like Zagreus. We spare you now in this instance so you know my word is true. I could have cast again, and again, and tore your mind asunder." He alone would know what her spell was doing to him. "I doubt I will ever change your thoughts about the gods and cause you to humble your heart toward them...any of you...but know this: not all gods are always ruled by emotion. Not all actions done by the gods are all evil. And not all actions done by the gods are unjust. Yet look at what you seek to do." "I don't know what happened with you all in your pasts to make you hate all the gods enough to join with the Prometheans. I get having grievances against the gods. I myself felt the sting when I lost my father and later my mother to the sea. They loved the gods and served them so much too! I could have raged against Poseidon, and sure, I was angry for a time, but I grew up to see countless other people die in this world for many reasons and end up being punished by the gods for many more. For me, in my hundreds of years of sight, it painted a picture of the works of the gods that most mortals don't see in their short lives." she states, looking to the far younger races in the room. "It led me to see that they cared about us, and even at the pinnacle of my pains, I never blamed all the gods for what happened. I may be wrong, but you seem to see the gods as toying manipulators who dangled your lives over a volcano with delightful glee to torment you, and you base this on real examples of, perhaps, cruelty from the sounds of things. I'm not saying we Gods aren't prone to emotional outbursts. I can attest before you today, as a goddess of chaos, that I can be swayed by emotions. Nor am I saying they don't see those they rule over as beneath them. You are. They made you. That's factual. If that wasn't a good enough reason to think they are over us, they also sustain us. In this, they also have good qualities too that you are pushing aside." "There are some who are infinitely kind. Some who judge evil. Some who protect cities. Some who provide day and night to man. Some who give good crops and some who take them away to give the land rest. Some who bring about good childbirth. They do this, not because they have to, but because they want to for us and for this world. The fact the gods punish man is not in all cases due to ego, and to consider it so is false. Some of it is due to justice and as a warning not to disobey based on their millennial-long views of rebellions and uprisings. I think they've learned a thing or two about them. And in the case of defiance, they judge either according to their emotion or to set an example as they deem fit. In some such cases, even in the courts of man, they serve people with longer or harsher sentences to set an example to the rest of the populace. It's not to be evil. I can't say it is good to do so, but it is sometimes necessary to continue righteous rule over chaotic mankind." "My point is this...you've all been given hardship by the gods. That choice by them made you do what you've done. But here and now, you have a choice to turn. Seek repentance for what you've been a part of. If not to the gods, then in the least, repent to seek to do right by your fellow man by stopping this nonsense. Help us end the evil behaviors of Zagreus in his quest for power, and in doing so, restore your honor. You won't have to make the choice to kill your friend, and more. You know what Zagreus plans next. He is an escalating godling who can't stop causing war crimes against those own people he preaches he's going to save and empower. Do you really want a part in what comes next? And what about when it fails and you are left with just the crumbs of what you hoped for and a wake of death and blood of your friends by your own hand behind you? Will it be worth it to you?"
"I don't think he noticed that I undid your locks for you," she comments to Bastya. Daphne's silence is really starting to piss her off as the beekin goes about scuttling to look at a wound rather than fight in words for her survival, instead leaving the goddess who is a stranger, in this scenario, to fight for her. "Did Daphne technically betray you? Because, from the sounds of things, she just wants to not be part of your order anymore and you are afraid she will turn on you. Why? I'll tell you..." "It is no surprise that your leader has an action against the some of the gods due to the circumstances of his birth. While I cannot speak to the mentality of the gods at the time his birth, from what little I've seen, there are logical and emotional reasons for the acts they do. That doesn't mean he had to set the world and the celestial realm on fire because of it. Instead, he decided to mark down every apparent atrocity done by the gods as fuel for his self-righteous fire. Meanwhile, he himself performs twice as despicable acts, such as destroying innocent villages or setting lose massive beasts upon mankind...who did nothing but live innocently," she quips regarding their past experiences with the massive boar. "While the gods are technically above mortals, they do regard them. They do watch over them and do bless them from time to time in care. I've come to learn Zagreus' mother grieved for him, thinking him stillborn. She was lied to. All of this should have caused Zagreus' hatred to turn toward Hades and perhaps Nyx, as they lied to him. Instead, he set his mind against the gods. When anyone sets their mind against anything, they will find apparent or real faults. That's just normal. What you do with that shows the measure of what kind of a person you are though. What happened with Zagreus is regrettable. It can be made right, without violence. All the other acts he touts in front of your eyes, the same can be said there too I'm sure. Now you each have your own affronts to the god's decisions, or else why would you join Zagreus? I am here to tell you that you don't know everything." "I have lived a long time. I have seen much. You foolishly follow a fool. One who will pave a road of stone over everything and everyone on his concealed quest to likely rule to bury the pain he has felt, and he'll take you down along with him. In his path though, he orders people like you, fueling the anger in your hearts against the gods to do despicable acts of abominable deeds with one hand, meanwhile criticizing the gods for far less egregious acts; meanwhile, he takes the 'high road' of moral superiority. What God in your experience told you to go kill your own loving friend? I can see if Daphne had begun to compromise your people and had spoken of the intent to betray you, that would be almost excusable to any military campaign. But look at her. She's still considering herself your friend! She's out here in the middle of nowhere being a mushroom collector and beekeeper. So you have no right or claim to end her life except by the will of a mad false god." She looks to Daphne now and encourages her, "Now stand up and say something regarding yourself in connection to these people. You know them. We don't. Be strong."
Aikaterine has no idea who Daphne is or what her backstory is. She has no idea who Theseus or Orpheus is. What can she hope to accomplish? Even now they seem so intent on killing her that he probably only surrendered momentarily because he was close to death. In any case, she will keep an eye on both of them and try to facilitate this discussion. "Well, I apologize if I misunderstood. When you called her 'Daphbee', while trying to kill her. I assumed you were mocking her as you were killing her. I have not know Daphne but more than a few minutes and even I can see how heartbroken she is at this decision made by you. Despite your allegiance, she still considers you both friends. Pray explain to me and her how her death is 'helping her'." She pauses, holding up a hand, "But before we do that, introduction perhaps are needed, unless Zagreus explained who we are. I am now the goddess Aikaterine, and this is Kyronai. I take it you are Theseus and...Orpheus...?" she directs to him but doesn't expect an answer from Orpheus judging by his current appearance.
"Stop mocking her pain! You belittle your own! She was your friend and ally. Who does that? You will lay down your arms now and talk this out with civility or face the consequences!" She doesn't let up, seeing there is still fight in their foes.
"They have made their choice to kill you. Stand firm and fight or get out of the way!" Aikaterine states factually as Theseus is trying to kill her friend currently. Aikaterine begins to glow with divine power. There was no denying her form now. She was most certainly a goddess, illuminated upon her beautiful skin with divine rays of light. A moment later an intense buffeting of force begins to assail Theseus's mind, hopefully making him susceptible to seeing her mirrored illusions. "See the evil in your own strikes, you murderers..."
It is not long before the stop to survey the area. Aikaterine is hidden fairly well, but not the best she could be. It doesn't matter, she will attack from here, but will wait until they are close. She will cast one more spell before they enter. A mage hand spell.
From the moment they enter the doorway, Aikaterine watches through a stack of who-knows-what of potting vessels, papers, and mundane garden equipment. She can see and hear the chains of the one at the door. From where she sits, she wonders why this person is in chains. It is then she decides that perhaps if she lets this person go, they will also fight?
If the person is unlocked from their chains, only they would know it, as her hand is invisible. When they are free, the hand will attempt to drag the chain with the person so that the others aren't as suspicious, but with the increased sound, it would all be hopefully ignored. Once the dwarf is within the mess of the home, the chains will just become part of the mess and will stay behind. As for the sounds, shortly after, they are no longer sustained, and so volume drops again, making it eerily quiet. Now they will know something is up. Hopefully, by this point, Kyronai and Daphne have casted any spells they've needed to in secret out on the patio and in the room.
Aikaterine focuses on her godly powers. She can sense a disagreement between the actors in play here. She doesn't know if she can control anything, but she seeks to enflame that discord between them. If there was a reason that one of them spoke in defense of Daphne, then at the heart was a willingness to preserve life and peace. Aikaterine seeks to flourish that feeling within them. "They are still engineering foul crafts...willing to plow over anyone in their way. Despicable!" she rages within. "This is who you once followed showing their reality. There are many good people within this group, but there are many who will kill any they wish to get what they want. Don't worry, we'll save you. If you can fight, now is the time." Daphne sees that Aikaterine begins to cast a spell: ghost sound. Around them gradually the sounds of the bees grow louder, the stream gets louder, the birds cawing a bit louder, and the creaking trees a bit louder. Even the wind rustling through the branches seems just a little bit more intense. Each of these by are increased by such a small fraction that it subtly rises to be so that when the group approaches, they may just recognize it just as a noisy place, but for the party, they will be free to cast their verbal spells without the hindrance of letting the others know where they are.
Aikaterine hides in among the stacks of the disorganized mess within the home, ready to pounce on the leader when he passes by in his search for Daphne.
Aikaterine is mostly quiet for the moment, wanting to hear her answer for Kyronai's question.
"She knows that I'm irritated already and now wants silence. Okay..." Aikaterine is silent and walks in silence. Her face is neutral all the way until they reach the old stone path. When the elf stops, looking out into the distance, Aikaterine's jaw tenses. She enjoys nature just as much as the next elf, but this one seems to be intent on stringing them along on a journey instead of just telling them why she's so reclusive on the subject of what is going on. It is making the goddess livid the more she delays. When she mentions the hogs, Aikaterine seems to lighten slightly. "They'll do that. You should see the wild ones in other countries. Why, we faced a boar that was the size of a two-story building and took it down. That'd put an end to your fence right-quick!" she jokes. Aikaterine moves through the mess of a home, careful not to touch or disturb anything. For a hedonist like her, she's not exactly comfortable here. She sees it for what it is, a nice home, or what once was one. "Well, to business first, if you please. I won't feel comfortable sitting here or being in this beautiful scenery until you start with why you are so reluctant to answer what is going on on this island? And why did you feel that we needed to come all of this way?" She will wave her hand with a short chant and her produced chair is cleaned of its dust. If Kyronai wishes, his will be as well. She then will sit and cross her legs.
Aikaterine is trying not to feel irritated. The fact Daphne is a beekin elf is giving her some credibility to Aikaterine. And Daphne may be evasive, but she's not lied directly to her face. "I will tell you for the asking what kind of Goddess I am seeking to be. But regardless, it would be wise not to disappoint a goddess or a god in this world, regardless of their proclivities. Although I myself have not the will to bring low those who slight me, other gods see the behavior as an unforgivable act and may bring about that one's destruction abruptly. I understand your fears, however, given the previous one who held this post. I am altogether different." In response to Kyronai and the beekin, she nods and waves the way toward her home. "We will come with you there, and I will discuss all of this. I'll communicate to the guards that we are heading off." She will jog forward, not minding herself being the one carrying the message and will inform them that they are going to split away from the patrol here and go their own way. She will thank them for the conversation and escort, but then will leave them to their task. As they move out of sight, she will return to Daphne. "Very well, after you. Do you wish to discuss this on the way or at your home?"
"No, you are right. Please. That was uncourteous of me. I suppose being lied to put me in a foul mood. Please, if you will..."
"Before we talk about my position in the deific scale of things, what is truly going on here? Both of them are lying between their teeth, and you are being evasive. Speak the truth," she commands.
From this moment on, Aikaterine will wear her cestus as they walk. It is not abnormal for her to wear it in potentially dangerous situations, but in this case, she doesn't trust the guards at all now. Perhaps they themselves are rebels and/or Prometheans. "Pietro and Teth. You take point. Us three will walk behind a bit and privately chat as we patrol." Could they defy a goddess? Perhaps this elf will feel more open with them out of earshot?
"You are a perceptive one. You are right. She wouldn't. And didn't. Alas, here I am. The same, yet different. I will tell you more about it if you go to my temple and worship me there in prayer. Then I will answer. Or, you can choose to meet with us at the inn we are staying at if you'd rather." She will then refer to it by name so the elf will know where to go if they wish to meet again. "Or, I suppose you are welcome to join us, but we are on patrol, so any manner of things can happen. I would not wish to put you at risk. However, the walk will likely produce additional mushrooms for your meal or selling--whatever the purpose of you being out here is." She glances to Teth at what he's saying, wondering if he's lying or trying to hide something, or if this elf really makes him nervous. GM:
"So you don't know her well?" she asks Teth.
The goddess delightfully chuckles. "That's an understatement." When she refers to having lost someone, Aikaterine observes the group and reflects on what the elf might be seeing, then gives her a curious look. "What do you mean?"
"A group of people determined to kill the current gods. They are led by Zagreus, as far as we know, who has commissioned the death of hundreds so far so that his purposes can come about. We are seeking to covertly take him on and those he recruits before they become a significant problem."
Assuming Teth thinks it's alright, she will ask. "Oh, just that we are looking for any signs of rebel activity on the island. But primarily, we are here to see if it has any connection to the Prometheans. Might you have heard of anything regarding these groups in recent years?"
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Daphne." She looks briefly to the guards with them who seem to have cursed the elf under his breath. She wonders where the disdain comes from. So far, she has not seen a reason. "You may call me Aikaterine. This here is my fellow companion Zagreus. And before you, you see Pietro and Teth, who you may know." "Perhaps she might know something?" she asks Zagreus. He would know elves live a bit longer, and may know change a bit more acutely than humans or other shorter-lived races.
Aikaterine is thankful to the innkeeper and would pay a gold coin regardless for "drinks and meals", which the value of which would obviously include more than just these cheaper elements. The elf will meet up in the morning with the guards and listen to the itinerary for the day. With their vague information given, it's not like she has any better clue as to what is happening. She will wear a hooded robe so the looks are less directed toward her on their path. She observes the beauty of nature, finding it strange that it is so untrampled in this region in comparison with their homes. Aikaterine would mostly enjoy speaking in Egyptian with Teth as they walk along the western side of the island. General conversation. When they enter the clearing and see the elven woman, she observes her a brief moment. A twinge of pain courses through her heart at what was left behind. As the eyes of the elf settle on her, she knows the woman can see through the dim light of her hood. The slight against her goes without comment, but she knows Poseidon would have skewered this mortal at the inference she is a servant. Aikaterine just nods in response to the elf and Kyronai's words. When the topic of their business comes up, Aikaterine speaks. Her voice is alluringly sweet and has an elven accent to it. "There are humans who cannot see in the darkness of my hood, but that is not you. That is how she knows. That and people don't often patrol with the guards. It makes sense that we must be in league with them. It'd only stand to reason we hold authority then, and since we aren't part of the King's local government, it'd be easy for a local to assume we are servants of the gods." She looks from Kyronai back over to the elf. "What is your name?" she asks, removing her hood to reveal what is already seen by Daphne. The guards will see Aikaterine's striking features and beauty once more.
I believe wands are different too. They fire once a day without issues, but you can overload them to fire more, but they risk being destroyed. It would probably be good to get a few or a staff if you want to spellsling with an item
Aikaterine blushes slightly at the wink. While not tempted by him, his brashness catches her off-guard. "I think that sounds fine. We will find somewhere to stay in your city and will meet with your troops in the morning."
Kyronai will have seen her act confident in the past. As she states she is a goddess, while she is confident in her words, he alone may notice her body language indicates minor discomfort at the words. Not like she is lying, but she is also not a braggart. There may be something else at play here. At the witch's words, she affirms that it too is her desire for these things with a nod. "Yes...anything out of the ordinary. No matter how small it is. It might be something worthy of note based on our past experiences," she simply adds to Kyronai's "unusual recent events", knowing that sometimes kings can overlook minor details.
Aikaterine greets Argon with a nod of her head. She can feel the eyes of the crowd upon her. Some are filled with desire for something so beautiful, some with fear at the unknown, and some with intrigue. Regardless, she is a topic of discussion among the crowd for a few minutes. She will introduce herself to Argon as well as eventually to the king, "Greetings, Alexander. I am the goddess Aikaterine, this is Kyronai, agent of Olympus." Upon entering private quarters, she comments in addition to Kyronai: "Yes. A grave threat to many. You speak like a Greek, Alexander. You should know, that these Prometheans killed your allies, the Spartans by manipulating them into horrific alchemical manipulations and undead necromantic experiments."
"...And by discreetly, if anyone asks, you can say we are tourists. Who does not wish to view this Wonder of the World while it lasts." Being so long-lived, she's seen a few things she'd call wonders of the world that later were destroyed. Because Aikaterine is not hiding her unique nature any longer--at the suggestion of the others--she appears as herself; a stunning creature of white, pale skin with flowering porcelain-like blue swirls on her skin. It is clear to the guard that she is a goddess, even if she does wear a veiling robed dress. It a beautiful dress, but is designed for flow (as most Grecian wear is). The robe is thin (almost see-thru), and drapes over her shoulders. It bears a light pink and white coloring. One could guess it is for travel on the seas in non-winter months. The dress underneath is just as fitting for Aikaterine sneaking as it is for her standing there on the docks looking extremely appealing.
Aikaterine is thankful that Kyronai knows when to keep his mouth shut. She can recall her previous experiences in here with Varocles and Zeus. Thankfully, in both instances, Zeus has had patience. She has learned his passions can be a bit of a tipped scale if properly enraged. She would invite him to her room later that night to discuss what they were going to do and how to handle things if Callie can't come through. That night, at the small windowside table in her room, she looks across it to Kyronai. "I believe so. Though that is becoming less of a reality...," she confesses about her potentially dying. "If I, Aikaterine the elf, were to be standing in a field with a bull...and he rushed and gored me, I would most likely die there in that field. Now...Aikaterine the Goddess of ...well this chaos within me...I feel like...I would have to be hit and gored by a much larger and more dangerous bull. And I would not bleed out so quickly." She shifts uncomfortably. "However, I wouldn't want to put that to the test. It's just how I am feeling about myself. She places a hand on her chest, as if to say she's speaking from the heart. "As for abilities...where do I begin. I have lost a great deal of sense of who I was. I can still read magic and learn it, but I have forgotten just about everything I knew. Even my spellbook have become magically corrupted. I was forced to destroy them. I now have a new one, but I also don't need it, if that makes sense. I'd say I'm somewhere between what a sorceress would be and a wizard. What I can do is ever changing, but right now, I feel like I could change minds, weave illusions, and even cause others to become scared...even to the point of death!" "I am not sure what I should do to take the reigns of this. I sort of feel like I'm along for the ride. I know I'm changing...a little more every day." She tucks a loose strand of her now-white hair behind her ear. "I am still myself though..." She then explains further: "Other than that, I feel healthier, more empowered in my magical control, and I'm still able to do a fragment of what I used to be able to do. Enough to be of use in combat still." She will demonstrate by sneaking something off of his belt and into her hand. She then will hand it back to him.
Aikaterine flashes pleading eyes to Zeus, hoping he can have the patience to remember that Kyronai is on his side. It was a good question, and something they have to deal with.

I am not opposed to Discord, especially playing a rendition of Diskord lol. I am on it if the GM wants to make a server. Also, if you guys see any error with my character sheet (other than the fact I haven't finished spells), feel free to let me know it, as Aikaterine should be updated now.

"You were right. It's as you said, the worst offenders even get incarceration. AND I was confused. When Zeus had mentioned a Captain who had messed with the party, I assumed he had meant Captain Argus, since he kind of extorted us. I guess it was Glaucetus he was referring to and that Poseidon was so enraged with. Never mind me! Hah, that guy got what he deserved. You should have seen Amphitryon devastate him. It was like a flash of lightning..." she lies with a feigned chuckle. "I was just being foolish. Anyways...I'm sure Argus has sailed on to better and less hostile waters. I can't imagine what it must feel like getting fired from the gods...I would go the rest of my life wondering if I were cursed!"
"So...You'll let us know when you have something?"
"No, my lord," she answers and bows her head. With that, she will seek to reconnect with Callie and eventually Kyronai in hopes to establish what they will be doing for the next little bit until leads on Zagreus will resurface.
"As you wish, my lord." She bows, feeling humbled that he complimented her. Her pristine pale cheeks bear a shade of red on them now. "It is kind of interesting...working as an agent with the gods, who are quietly removing enemies to spare the nations. I'm sure it's not the first or last time it'll happen. In my few years of living, there are some people who have become martyrs who shouldn't have been. I see your methods of doing things necessary at times." She almost seems finished, but then seeks to correct one more thing for the sake of the half-elf Kyronai. "I do want to express to you that my friend Kyronai and the others I had traveled with until recently would be trustworthy to know this, and excited to take part in dealing with betrayers. We already do. I hope by his actions, one day you come to evaluate and see how trustworthy Kyronai is." She doesn't speak on the fact that a god is literally betraying Zeus right now, which goes to speak to the fact that just distrusting people and Gods is equivalent. It's not as though the Gods are immune to the behavior, but on this, she keeps her mouth shut.
"My lord...These are your agents. They serve you. I do not think they are your enemy. Why would you kill them for having this knowledge? If the man was a traitor, is it so bad if they do indeed know?" She seems conflicted. Would he kill her also were she not a god? How serious was this belief of his? It is clear from her voice that she doesn't wish to tell him what to do, but she fears for her friends.
Considering this is a matter between Zeus potentially either lying, or hiding something, or being elusive to what is on reports, she will head into Zeus's office to ask more of him. As she gets there, she recalls his fury and wrath when thinking of Captain Argus and warns Zagreus of how he acted. She finds herself alone in the office with the king of gods. "Something else. I have worshiped you the whole of my life, and my mother and father before me. We are a family devoted to you for our long lives. Now, I've been given something unique. It's been hard to deal with to see myself as one on a level even able to approach you now. That said, I know what you spoke to me before about Poseidon and his wrath. As your agent, I am required to report to Callie. She is our handler. When I spoke of my report on the discussion you and I had, she was confused, as the paperwork stated that Captain Argus was just to be fired and that you signed the paperwork. But you told me Poseidon wanted him killed. Did I make a mistake somewhere? I, naturally, trust your word to me, that he was put to death, but I don't see that here." She holds up the paper. "Given that we are potentially infiltrated by enemies, I wanted to make sure this is not the work of Zagreus in falsifying information."
Thank you for reminding me! With the whole switch over and everything in and out of the game I completely forgot you were vacationing. We can pause here until you get back! As for helping with PF2, I’m a noob (who honestly has had little to no interest in the system up until this point), so I really can’t help atm, but I’ll take a look and see what I can come up with to help you if I get a chance
"We better ask why, just to be safe." She looks to Kyronai for assurance, if he wishes to join her he too can come to Zeus's chamber. "In the meantime, Callie, see what you can do to bless us with someone skilled enough to help track down Zagreus. I am not so confident in my own abilities..." She looks to Kyronai, wondering how he feels about going on the missions that they come across with just the two of them. There is a sense of dread now that Amphitryon and Varocles are busy.
"We are dealing with instigators and saboteurs. This is a war of opinions. One where the Prometheans are seeking to subtly convince people of the evils of the gods. I say we clear this up. We go to Zeus. We find the order. We also take a moment to create order out of this mess. If you will allow me..." Aikaterine asks how they attempt to sort the prayers and paperwork that comes in, and once knowing this, will cast a spell to automatically order it for them.
"If these are sorted like this, it will save time. I can take some time to teach it to some spellcasters and it will help us nail order to this office automatically."
Maybe the bees are semi intelligent, like dogs?
"Callie, perhaps I'm confused. You are saying that you saw that Zeus ordered a contract of termination of occupation, signed and delivered? That doesn't make sense, because when I spoke to him, he was angered at this mortal who had trespassed against his agents. He stated that Poseidon ordered Captain Argus to be killed for extorting us. If Zeus understood Poseidon's behavior and supported it, why did he put an order in saying to fire the man when he knew Poseidon wanted to kill him? Did one order come in and then another later?" She is trying to consolidate information. Particularly because Callie is so shocked that the captain is dead. If anyone should know, shouldn't it be her? Looking around, the elf can see the disorganization of the paperwork and how it is all out of order. She has seen it since coming into this place. Being a manipulator of emotion and function, she wonders if her own powers can counter this disorganization?
