My other option is continually take hp damage running back and forth through walls of fire, while being unable to attack something that is flying away. In and out of character, I'd rather kill Zey than another phoenix.

I think I have a charge lane with 60 ft. fly and 10 ft. reach. Not sure which square that would put me in, so I let GM move me.

Trying a new strategy, Aericus changes the arcane power enchanting his weapon to +2 agile keen icy burst and charges at the phoenix. Attempting, but failing, to swat away any attack he would take on the way.

Aericus swiftly recovers the wand of long arm from his wrist sheath and taps himself with it, before ascending to 40 ft. moving closer to the phoenix.

Rapier will remain +2 agile flaming frost shock for now. Seems that would have been the fairest to test the regeneration. I'll parry all attacks (+14, including the size penalty).

I can trade that back and forth. Only need to stop the regeneration once after it's past negative Con. I've still got 7 arcane points, 6 assuming I would have done that for the one we already took out. We're good for 3 more phoenixes.

The barkskin was from Ammen, but I should actually lose the heroism from Deno'thar rather than shield/mage armor. I think that was still up? I'll recast fly and use my heightened awareness wand for the +4 initiative.

I can auto-aid the Arcana, Planes, Spellcraft, or UMD. Probably should just use both to repair.

It's 3 size categories larger, so I'm allowed to share a space. Normally I'd take an AoO for that, but the bladed dash movement prevents that. The point is to make sure I can riposte on a successful parry with only 5 ft. reach. Parry is +16. I will attempt to parry all attacks and riposte at +22 if possible.

I didn’t think I was going to like it until running and playing it. It feels very similar with improvements in PC balance and action tactics. There’s some difficulty consistency issues in the first few scenarios that I think need to be worked out for me to really buy in long term, but I’ve enjoyed it more than PF 1 lately.
