"A shame that. an chance there is someone you know who i could talk to? really trying to earn some brownie points with my master. No big deal if you cant of course. Dont suppose there is a fund about here that could use a few extra coins is there? Civic duty and all that."

"Oh? those ol bastards eh? They use to bug my mentor all the time about things in his personal collection used to tell them they belong in a musuem! He turned one of them into a newt one time. That was good. It would be nice to take on of their treasures away wouldnt it?

He said trying to disassociate himself from the pathfinders even if he did find them an okay sort most of the time.

Acesy:
"on the contrary... is there a counter petition for it. I would like to see one in every district...

He quipped giving his best smile.

"I am a scholar trained under the wizard Seldarine from the north, he once brought up a book on exotic fauna locat43ed within the Old Delvehaven building. I was told this was the place to acquire a permit to enter?"

He asked simply smiling innocently.

"Well this is a promising start."

He mutteredglancing about again not even hiding his inspection of the other nearby souls just in case. He half thought about summoning some water for the ivy but shrugged and instead made his way to the door.

Ingot Street Rego Scripa. I shall do my best to get an answer."
He gave her his best smile, the one he waved for a chump betting all his coin when Acesy had the nuts and he didnt realize it ...yet.
"I'll shall upon you at this Vizio's in a few hours i would imagine."
He rose to his feet proffering a little half bow before he made his way to the door only pausing right before it to cast a simple cantrip protecting his night accostemed eyes from the suns evil morning glare. By the time the spell wore off his eyesight would be adhusted to it. He made his way to the Rego Scripa only pausing to ask for direct well directions if he missed the ivy.

His eyes couldnt help but follow her hands as she soother her top. Yeah he was slightly perving her at teh moment. He gave a light shake of his head. She had shot him down hard and often enough last night. no sense in being a true a~&@#~+ about things.

"well no sense in burning daylight... where is this office you mentioned where i can speak about getting access?

He asked 'accidently' putting his hand atop hers as he went to stand up

M Undine Wizard 1/

Oh mighty cat of the dragons...ruler of the dark and sudden ankle attacks from out of nowhere.
any chance i may have run across the rare cantrips

Penumbra and Drench

In his spellbook. they are meant purely for rp purposes the penumbra mostly for early morning headache from teh sun preventure after late nights gambling and the drench for relief from any heat from said sun... also undine so it sounds like a fun spell to have? They are technically Cantrips...

"Thats too bad. Perhaps its because of your well association with the previous inhabitants? I could make a few inquiries as well. surely a water wizard is far enough from a pathfinder they might not make a connection...."

A connection... man that would be nice. She was cute. had seemed well a little intersted in 'getting to know' him the other night, but that might have been the whiskey talking as well.Still he meant it. most of the good gambling was done at night.... a day trip to some crusty offiicials office to aske questions woudlnt hurt him.

He noted the ... irritated look on the folk in the common room including his newest acquaintance Aelia. She had claimed to be a pathfinder and well she seemed to be legitimate. He understood the local folks ire with the humidity even while he reveled in it.Random moisture in the air? It was lovely.

"So tell me again about this Delvehaven? What are the issues with reopening it? I dont really understand the crowns issue with pathfinders i think you are all fine folk in fact it hink i mentioned this last night...I think my father was one... or was associated with the pathfinders...is there anything i can do to help?

There really are some good submission's here. I dont envy the game mastering cat on this one.

This will be the Nine's Entrant, Working on the updating of the profile and backstory now. Going with the Out of Towner background trait despite being a wizard/oracle. (well eventually)

Everything should be good to go, will probably go over my gear again but the rest of the crunch should be good to go along with the background.

Grats to those that made it in. Have fun!

How do you feel about item creation feats?

Man the background is turning into a novella. Which is fine :) will be finished with everything by tomorrow except maybe finetuning equipment

Background:
Acesy grew up in a small village of fisher folk near the town of Egede along the lake of mists and veils. Acesy's father never spoke much of his mother, in fact none of the town did. His strange features compared to his fathers lead the young child to believe his mother may have been one of the water nereids that many of the folk in town warned against. He grew up being mostly left alone since the other children avoided him.

When he was six years old after a strange storm where green thunder blasted through the clouds and acidic rain fell A swirling miasma of energy erupted from his chest over his heart. The strange symbol that stayed after that moment intrigued the boy, and when he finally had the courage to bring attention to it to his father he learned the truth.

The man whom had been raising him was not his father, A distant cousin, a member of a secret society called the riftwardens brought him as a toddler to stay with him. His foster father sent a letter to that cousin, and almost 6 months later the man arrived scooped Acesy up and drug him halfway across the Mendev.

The next 25 years of his life he spent in study under a mage who was almost as awkward and reclusive as the boy now studying under him. Still The young boy growing awkwardly into a man didn't mind, in fact he found the principles of wizardly to his liking. Even when it was hard to concentrate because he didn't sleep properly due to the occasional strange dream.

They almost always started the same way, swimming in darkness, a storm raging overhead. He always felt as if he were chasing after something, some grand thing that would make everything clear if he could just grasp it... but it always seemed to slip away.

His master never had answers, he always just posed questions to put the awkward youths mind spinning into more positive directions. As the years near the end of his learning tenure came to a close, the old wizard began to introduce him more and more into the secrets of the riftwardens, though the questions about his parentage remained elusive.

The day came when he was finally given his first assignment, and to his slight dismay it was to send him so very close to where he started, to the town of Egede along the lake of mists and veils as a school teacher, his mission was simple, to keep an eye among the children for further incidents of riftwarden parentage, and to send word if any were found. It was boring, it was droll, it was something he excelled at. The vivid haunting dreams he had dried up, and became nothing but a strange memory barely remembered.

That changed a year ago almost to the day. A dream... no no a nightmare really awoke the quiet teacher from his slumber bathed in a clammy cold sweat. He was being chased in the dream now, and was also doing the chasing. He realized he was chasing the storm, racing to get ahead of it, being pulled and drawn to stop something. His fevered dreams showed him now the town of Kenebres far to the west. The very next day, he gave his resignation and began heading west.

Every crusader of any rank salt and stripe he warned of the coming storm over Kenebras and while some listened at first... by the time of the assault on the wardstone most crusaders knew him as a decent mage, brave to a fault, just a little crazy with some doomsday end of the world fever dreams in his head... which was understandable considering Mendev's battle against the worldwound.

He was with a patrol of 30 stout men and women returning to Kenebras when Khorramzadeh, the Storm King of the Worldwound, struck and even though they were still a good half hours ride from the city, the battle in the sky between Terendelev and the Storm king was visible and all the warnings in his dreams suddenly snapped into place. He was out of place, out of time, and people were dying. Bravely the 31 crusaders rode into the city, Bravely they fell one by one. AS night fell they were down to 12, Chaos raged everywhere and they continued to push forward. Sir Kesten fell, swarmed by a legion of Dretch. Lady Almathia murdered in cold blood by traitorous crusaders pretending to be wounded.

With the mornings dawn he found himself staggering in front of the Defender's Heart, out of spells, out of friends and half dead but not out of hope. Standing there in one of the last bastions of the town's defense another vision.. a waking dream this time, fluttered through his exhausted mind. He was standing somewhere dark, the feel of chaos and evil all about him, but he was there with others, and they were smiting the demons back pushing them back... Destiny, he felt, had more in store for him.

Appearance and Demeanor:
Acesy is an almost awkwardly tall and skinny man with dark blue black hair past his shoulder. His eyes are a brilliant blue with almost no white to them. He is very pale, although when he casts any magic (particularly water based spells) swirls of blue tattoo like markings glow and swirl about his skin for several moments past the casting.

Acesy is by nature, quiet and unassuming.

He certainly is awkward around most folk, especially women folk who show any interest in him.A life of studying has left him remarkably unsure of how to handle those situations.

I will have the back ground information up along with filled out spells chosen by tomorrow morning, Im deabating between two different background points at teh moment, cant decide which i like more.

This will be the Nine's entrant still a work in progress. Going Undine Oracle/elemental wizard.

This will be the nine's Wizard. Filling in all the pertinant data now. I do have a quick question, Are you allowing alternate racial traits? Specifically in this case to match with my Unbreakable Survivor trait :Hydrated Vitality: An undine with this racial trait gains fast healing 2 for 1 round anytime she submerges completely within a body of natural salt water, fresh water, or brackish water. Stagnant, poisoned, or trapped water (such as an artificial pit or a bag of holding) does not activate this ability. The undine can heal up to 2 hit points per level per day with this ability, after which it ceases to function. This racial trait replaces water affinity.

grats to those that made it in, have fun!

Man good luck to everyone!

All done, The background could be a bit stronger but i dont know enough about the setting just yet to make it lengthier comfortably. As a samurai/ranger would swearing my sword to Lady Tiashi be advisable? Do you prefer a charector sheet made up for my mount, or would you want all that information on the same charector sheet for easier reference?

Also have a drawing done by a friend

Good catch, I knew something looked funny about it but couldnt place it

This will be the nine's entrant. Still working on it, but wanted to get the bones of it up.
