Thorn suddenly receives some visions flash through his thoughts. they are a bit painful as he feels his body first feeling very cold then suddenly very hot. he sees visions of various people being experimented on. then suddenly he feels sadness, a lost of trust, confusion. He realizes he has an empathic link with Alice, he is feeling her feelings. the images make no sense, the faces, he does not recognize. the images are jumbled and flash in and out. the last thing he sees is a kindly man as though through glass, he feels extreme cold. slowly the vision goes black the final thing he sees is the kindly man writhing in pain as he transforms into some kind of black ooze. then as fast as it started, it ends. Alice's eyes suddenly open. she says only one word, Matthew!
ok, most of the items Alice would really like to get, all are pretty costly however, a cloak of the hedge wizard (evocation) would be pretty useful (2,500 gold)

Along the back wall of the room is what appears to be some sort of stasis chamber. Inside lies a young girl. she seems almost child-like. She has red hair and is in a green and yellow dress. she seems to have no weapons in stasis chamber with her. In the center of the room is a control station. a simple circular podium with a few controls and display monitors. the monitors indicate the girl in the chamber is alive but there is on parameter that is flashing red. A notice on the screen indicates that biological DNA needed for activation. next to the stasis chamber is a handle that is some sort of access opening. maybe 6 inches circular. the Stasis chamber is cold to the touch.

Mortimer considers the options, I think that a simple earbud that can easily be concealed that works through the ship's systems. however also the walkie talkie idea would be good as well at the very least it may be a good distraction.

Pulling up to the building is a man on a hoverbike, a small robotic dog strapped behind him. once he pulls up, before removing his helm, he stays still a moment then looks toward any that are present. after a brief pause, he unstraps the dog which comes to life a floats off the bike hovering about a foot or so from the ground. the man removes his hem and sets it on the bike. relatively handsome man, well dressed almost nostalgic Victorian. a small pistol holstered on his hip, that seems a bit out of place, like something out of the old american west. he straightens his coat and grabs a walking cane from the bike. he turns to head toward the building. come along Rex the robotic dog responds, affirmative, master As he walks in he makes eye contact with the lashunta, but says nothing. he makes his way into the church as directed, Rex you wait by the door indicating the door to the secure room they are to meet in. the dog follows the command and sets himself down near the door.

Dr. Mortimer responded. after hearing the message, Thank you Rex. send a notice that the temporal paradox lecture at 1400 hours has to be cancels for a family emergency. Mortimer commands as he gathers his tools. affirmative, Master. message sent looks like we have work to do, come on Rex. Time to save the universe again. |
