thankfully this situation didn't come up, but do summoned monsters automatically count as having a magic weapon? I'm not counting an Eidolon, but rather things summoned with Summon Monster I. I'm curious to see if you could summon a first level monster to overcome DR/Magic pretty easily.

do summoned monsters automatically count as having a magic weapon?
Damage Reduction (Ex or Su): "Some monsters are vulnerable to magic weapons. Any weapon with at least a +1 magical enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls overcomes the damage reduction of these monsters. Such creatures' natural weapons (but not their attacks with weapons) are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction."
Mephit and Salamander have DR/magic so their natural attacks bypass DR/magic. There may be others.

Not automatically, but some of the summonable monsters have attacks that overcome DR/magic.

Slightly off topic, but if you finagle your way into having Summon Nature's Ally, you can grab Sunlight Summons

Most animals summoned with a summon monster spell get a template fiendish, celestial etc. This gives the animal a "smite":
If you look up smite you will find:
Regardless of the target, smite evil attacks automatically bypass any DR the creature might possess.
So any animal you summon will have no problem against DR of any kind... at least for the smite target ;)

Actually, they get the smite in the template, NOT the paladin one. I'm pretty sure that the celestial smite doesn't bypass DR.
Cheapy is right, it is not the Paladin's smite evil, but a lesser version. The effect is stated in the template.
This is a place where Paizo could have used another name to avoid confusion IMO :-/

LOL
I thought of something along the lines of "lesser smite" or "Called Fury" or whatever. It would have been shorter, but yours is more humerous :-)
