Paladin Mount: Remove per-day and duration limitations?

Classes: Cleric, Druid, and Paladin

It kinda annoys me how Paladins can only call their mount once per day. I mean, the mount is cool, but is it really so powerful that we need to keep it on such a tight leash? What exploits arise from letting them have their mount whenever they want instead of having to marshal it carefully?

There are many other people on this forum that believe that Paladins should be able to summon their mounts multiple times per day. I'm really hoping that Jason and the rest of the developers implement this suggestion.

I'd rather not see this, as it leads to the (for me) mood-breaking situation of the paladin dismissing and resummoning their mount to get it past inconvenient obstacles. That's a bit too close to storing the horse in a bag for me.

I would rather see the mount be come more like an animal companion or a familiar and let the pokemount die

Agreed, it's goofy. There has to be a more elegant solution than, "I choose you holyhorsachu" I'd just about rather see them with intelligent stick horses they could stow in their backbacks.

Agreed, get rid of the pokemount. I understand not being able to bring a mount into certain situations, but how goofy can you get?

I agree that it makes much more sense to make the paladin's mount work like an animal companion or a familiar. But, the paladin also has the option of forming a divine bond with a weapon instead. Should this remain as a limited use per day ability, or should it be more like a wizard's arcane bond with an item?
